I just enjoyed another incredible meal at Ground Provisions! The ambience is relaxed and cozy. The service is warm and friendly, and always attentive. The food is consistently outstanding! Chef Brandon is a magician. Nora makes desserts to dream about. There is no better restaurant on Planet Earth.

The restaurant is cozy and you feel like you're in someone's home. Service is stellar. We had the sweetest waitress and she was super accomodating with one of us having a gluten intolerance. We did email them ~24hrs in advance so they could prepare. We learned that they prepare the exact number of plates based on the number of reservations that day. If you don't have a reservation you can do outdoor dining with light bites and that menu seems appealing too. They have such creative plant based dishes that are fresh and flavorful. We also enjoyed our seasonal cocktails. Dinner here was the perfect way to end our day after enjoying Longwood Gardens!

This was one of the finest meals we've ever had. Every course was exquisite. If it's something you can afford we highly recommend it. Great service, too. Sure, there's no meat, dairy, or eggs but the vegetables, fruit, pasta and bread were so beautifully prepared that you don't miss what's not there. I'm an omnivore and eat vegan a lot. I would love to be able to recreate these special dishes.

Our visit in mid-June 2025 was unforgettable. The tasting menu was on offer. We had an addition to our reservation, and they graciously accommodated it, even though changes can be challenging with this type of menu. We had one omnivore who is rather picky, a young vegetarian, plus two vegans in our party. The drink selections were lovely. I had two with alcohol, and the rest of the party chose from the non-alcoholic drinks. One of the latter, a Strawberry Fizz, was so delicious that it tasted almost like a strawberry muffin in your mouth. The tasting menu consisted of five small plates plus a dessert, and we also included the option of a Rebel Cheese course. The service and pacing were flawless. I was joking with the server at one point, and she went along with it, which I appreciated. The picky eater marvelled at every course; she even wished I hadn't invited her, because the experience raised the bar on dining so much. Three of the dishes were spectacular. A spelt English muffin with a bean salad and crème fraiche, with a tiny melon gazpacho side. Sounds odd, was terrific. I could have eaten ten. That's the issue with tasting menus that you have to reconcile yourself with before going: you want to have more of everything. Next was the grilled zucchini with a pesto and slaw. I am not a zucchini fan, but I devoured it. The final outstanding dish was the maitake mushroom. All three of these dishes had exquisite light sauces. I enjoyed the pasta (garganelli) with English peas, but it was just a touch too salty for me; similarly, the macerated strawberries on lemon cake with coconut buttercream were a touch too sweet. But these are my tastes. Oh, we also got an optional ice cream, lemon balm, that was outstanding. The space itself is perfect. Interesting but not overly so, with light jazz music playing at the perfect volume. It was one of the quietest restaurants I've been in, with conversations easy to hear, even though I often have a problem deciphering speech over background noise. I had very little sense of the other diners around me. There is also seating at a chef's table and outside. The outside seating faces the road, so there might be some noise. The bathroom was clean, and there was a poem above the sink. Bonus points! With six drinks and the optional cheese plate, it was expensive (to someone over 60 who doesn't do fine dining very often), but also appropriately priced for our experience. I don't have the kind of cash to do this even once a month, but I hope to return next year and do it again. I guess I'm burying the lede here, but this was probably the best meal of my life, or at least in the top five.

My dad and his wife wanted to go out to dinner with Son #1 and his wife. They are vegan and by coincidence I recently saw that Ground Provisions made the Best of Philadelphia list. Additionally, making a reservation was supposed to be at least a month in advance on Resy. I went to check for a table for four and lo and behold, there was an opening on Saturday evening. I snagged the reservation and all of us were very happy. We had a great meal at this rustic and somewhat noisy and dark farmhouse/house with excellent service. The price fixe menu at $79 each was reasonable based on the many tapas-like courses. At our meal, there was an option to add a $15 tomato fromage course which we did for one instead of two. It consisted of some of the best faux cheese I've ever had made out of cashews which I ended up purchasing an 8oz wheel from their market in the other room. We had courses of squash, grits, Maitake mushrooms, pea pasta, and others which although small and some made to share among us four, when combined together made for a filling meal. We also had some cocktails of sangria, beer, and I had two mocktails of Miss Peaches which I would have preferred a pint of each time of this delicious drink. The dessert of peaches was divine with the homemade thyme ice cream. We also each received a small champagne on the house. It appeared that all tables were being given this. With the drinks and extra plate, with tax but not including tip came to $398 for four. I also spent $30 in the market for the cashew cheese and some homemade soaps. The market has flours, syrups, jellies, sauces, sandwiches, cookies, and lots of other items for sale. Some of the items they use in the dishes served for the price fixe meal. Our server and her coworkers were friendly and attentive. We would come back again!

I went to ground provisions for their New Year's Eve tasting menu and enjoyed immensely. The dishes were so creative and delicious, who knew vegetables could be this good??? I'm really excited to go back and try the regular dinner menu soon.

Ambiance romantic & warm. Service polished & friendly. Food flavorful & inventive. Value for what is received is good yet would be happy to pay more for larger portions as did leave still slightly hungry.

Went with a group of friends last night, and we were blown away by the entire experience--beautiful setting, super friendly staff, and the food was simply exquisite. The thoughtful, artistic presentation, the blends of different tastes and textures--every detail just felt elevated from the yummy rum and strawberry syrup cocktail to the bright flavors and dishes that I would never prepare at home. The chefs adapted the tasting menu for me since I am gluten free--and I loved the savory chickpea flour bread and the vanilla cookie. I even thought the tofu (which I don't normally like) was delicious. I am grateful that a restaurant like this exists!

This is absolutely one of the most fantastic gourmet restaurants in the area, vegan or not. You will actually forget it's vegan by the second course. I have been here twice now and both times I have had flavors that kept me guessing in the best way. They have some of the best servers in the area (just extremely skilled and friendly). The portions may look small, but you will leave so stuffed by the time the courses are done. I really highly recommend adding the vegan cheese plate. It's so delicious and unique. You can get steak almost anywhere, but vegan food expertly done ( with a focus on letting the vegetables shine instead of meat substitutes) is SO rare. The vibe inside is also soothing and comforting. I love it.

Took myself on a solo little date here before the summer ended and I had the best experience! I initially decided to visit because their onsite vegan market carries my favorite cheese brand (Rebel!), but made a reservation! This place treated me like royalty! I really enjoyed the thoughtfully curated 7 course menu with every bite being flavorful and filling. The owner (I think?) stopped by to talk to me for awhile and told me all about their farm-to-table way of living. I cannot wait to visit again to try their winter seasonal menu!

Incredible. Great ambiance, attentive and friendly service, perfectly paired wines, and delicious food with layers of flavors. Clearly a lot of passion from everyone involved. This place is hitting above its weight in West Chester. The tasting menu is a great first foray in experiencing the menu. We will be back for sure.

Incredibly welcoming and ambient atmosphere, punctuated by warm and amiable staff. Admirably designed environment with calm and systematic open kitchen. Creative, appetizing, and dynamic small plates that left me very satisfied.

When I found out the owners of Vedge were opening a market and restaurant in Glen Mills, I was beside myself with excitement to have a delicious, plant-forward restaurant so much closer to home --- and of course, when reservations opened up, I immediately snagged one for their first weekend of dining service. I am always a little skeptical of brand new restaurants that may have some kinks to work out, but our meal at Ground Provisions was excellent from start to finish. While it is an entirely vegan menu, the skeptics should know every single course we were served was objectively phenomenal food that just happens to be made without animal products. Side note, we arrived a few minutes early to check out their market, which offers a variety of plant-based snacks and sauces along with a small to-go refrigerator with a few sandwiches and vegetable side dishes. I was excited to a see a shelf of Burlap and Barrel spices, a personal favorite of mine, and spotted several specialty ingredients that are often difficult to find in the typical grocery store. Once our friends arrived, the servers offered to take our coats before seating us in their dining area, which is small but well-decorated and quite cozy. We were offered their drink menu to make our only decision of the night: did we want one of their 3 cocktails, 2 local beers, or a glass/bottle of one of their natural wines? They also offer a wine pairing for $35, which we thought was very reasonably priced, so I had to indulge! From there, we began our five course prix-fixe tasting menu, which, per the restaurant website, will evolve monthly and feature seasonal produce from local farms. It's also priced well at $75 per person. Our first course was Langos, a soft, pillowy potato bread filled with herbs and served with a smoked onion dashi and seaweed butter that was an absolutely delightful place to start our meal. I often avoid finishing my bread to leave room for other courses, but I could not help but devour it all. The second course, The "Dirt List" was a selection of vegetable side dishes served family style: roasted carrots with whipped tahini, braised broccoli rabe with grits and tomato conserva, and a caesar-inspired salad. The four of us could not agree on which was our favorite --- all were delicious in their own way (to me, the clear winner was the roasted carrots!). The pasta course was third, and while it was perhaps the least photogenic, I thought it was one of the most flavorful, featuring rounds of semolina pasta with a fennel cream sauce, topped with pistachio and just a hint of heat. Our main course was the unanimous favorite: a smoky, grilled Lion's Mane Mushroom that was actually quite meaty in texture, served over mashed sunchokes. I think we all would have gladly accepted seconds or even thirds of this course --- just a beautiful, well crafted dish. Our dessert course featured a creamy, pineapple lush tartlet with chocolate crumb crust and a lavender cream, both of which had textures that made it hard to believe they were non-dairy --- we all scraped our plates clean on this course, too. A few times throughout our meal, our waiter asked if we had any feedback for the restaurant, and I honestly couldn't come up with anything that we would have changed about the meal. The service was friendly, approachable, and seemed knowledgeable about the dishes and wines they were serving, and the food was absolutely incredible. I've already booked my March reservation and absolutely can't wait to go back!

I find this Whole Foods is typically very well stocked, it has huge cheese and hot/cold self-serve departments, and it always has a great selection of meat substitutes for those who care about such things (I do). You can get your growler filled, and the beer pub also houses a made to order coffee shop. The downside of this Whole Foods is the downside of every Whole Foods--the price. That said, for unique or international ingredients, you can often find cheaper versions here than at your everyday Acme or Giant, as well as a wider selection so you can find exactly the products for which you are looking.
