closest thing to real Brooklyn pizza highly recommend.. Very good energy in this spot

We were in the area and went on Yelp to look for something to eat. Aside from halal and Chinese food there wasn't too much to choose from. But then I saw this place with above a 4 star rating. We read the reviews and we were very excited to try their "Brooklyn" style pizza that some raved about. I felt like it was more like frozen pizza you would heat up in your air fryer at home. The dough was very very soft. And I could taste a lot of salt. I wouldn't eat here another time. It could also be that we are spoiled to live near Deer Park and there are plenty of great pizzerias within a 2 mile radius of our house. read more

Cooked well. Not greasy. Thin crust. I would dine here again. Friendly staff. Fair pricing.

The pizza was outstanding! The best New York style I've ever had. The service was great very quick!

One of the best pizza places I've had in a very long time. Had dinner here and pizza here in the past week and was delightfully surprised at how great it was both times, and how clean inside is! Lasagna was delicious, the sauce was cooked to perfection with melty bubbly mozzarella you could die for. Tortellini alfredo with garlicky broccoli was amazing. The alfredo was on the thin side which I wasn't sure about at first but it worked, I'm craving it right now. 2 days later, I got slices at the end of the night. Baked ziti slice and upside down sicilian and some garlic knots. The garlic knots are the best I've had in a long long time. The slices were great!! This is a hidden gem, owner is a great guy. I now have a favorite pizza place right around the corner from my house! read more

Great Pizza. Best probably in eastern Suffolk's Selden, Stonybrook, Smithtown area. Sort of rough out here. Nice to see a place like this read more

Pizza is delicious especially the Sicilian slices. After a long hard day at work I stopped in for a slice and I was served 2 slices. One slice was on the house, I was asked how was my day. I guess it showed. Their customer service was amazing! read more

My friend and I had the most excellent pizza and garlic knots that you wouldn't believe. Sal told us about his family in Sicily and the fact that he's a 1st generation immigrant with a deep passion and respect for the food that he creates. Definitely try the grandma slice and have a conversation with Sal. You won't regret it. read more

Ordered a hero. No A/C on a hot day, so had to get it to go. Meatballs had no taste, no seasonings to speak of. Like balls of meat made from an ice cream scooper. Not much cheese for a parm hero. Ate less than half, threw the rest away, wouldn't buy again. Waste of money. read more

I remember years ago when it was Happy Time and everyone loved it. So I finally decided to give it a shot. The place looks nice inside. The only gives off a friendly city vibe. As someone originally from Queens, it was a deja by moment. I purchased a meatball pie and spaghetti with garlic and oil. The sauce was a little thick but that might just be my particular taste. The noodles were cooked perfectly. As far as the pizza goes, the meatballs and sauce had a very nice taste. Just wish there was more on each slice. The only reason it wasn't a 5 star was the crust. While the thickness of the pizza was perfect, the crust should be cooked longer to a mild crispness. Otherwise between price and taste; very good. read more

Best food great pizza and me and my wife feel like we are at home Anthony is the best

My husband tried this place a few months ago to switch things up as we didn't love the local spots we had been going to and now my kids won't eat pizza from anywhere else!!! Every time we go there we are greeted by the friendliest staff that go above and beyond to show you the meaning of great service. I mean he even gave my kids free ice cream after their pizza, what a guy! Place is always kept extremely clean and they offer a nice selection. We won't be getting pizza from anywhere else again! #loyalcustomers read more

I grew up in the area and in the 90's this place was called Happy Time Pizza. It was the best pizza around and some of my happiest memories were indulging on this amazing pizza every Friday night. I stopped by on a recent trip, hitting my old stomping grounds, and am happy to report while the name may changed its STILL the same great pizza from my youth. NY Pizza, Long Island Pizza, whatever you want to label it, its GREAT EFFIN' PIZZA!!! Proud to introduce my wife to the place and she gave the Margarita pizza her seal of approval. And let's not forget about the Garlic Knots. #Fuhgeddaboudit read more

I had to change my review after my last couple visits. These guys always have Fox News on both TV's in the place. During my last visit the owner and a customer were in the dining room openly bashing Democrats and liberals Whatvever your politics, why would you want to alienate a large portion of potential customers? I have no ddesire to support a place that doesn't respect its customers. read more

Best pizza in my town hands down. Well done with some garlic knots ouuuuu my mouths watering now

Came here hoping they'd still be open, it was around 8:30 ish and luckily they still had some pizza left, no regular so Ingot a grandma and my friend got a white slice and we got a few knots and a side of sauce, everything was delicious, so good it made me wonder how much more delicious it would be if I went during the day when they have fresh pies. So why the 3 stars? Newsmax... it's because freakin Newsmax, they actually had newsmax on the tv while we were eating and it's a very right wing propaganda type of channel that makes Fox look tame in comparison, it was very distracting... funny as hell but I don't need that type of entertainment when I'm trying to eat my food, laughing while you're trying to eat can lead to death... facts. It ain't a secret that most people who run pizzerias are Trumpers but these people are acting like it's something to be proud of even after people died during the capitol riots, as if 45 himself was not the one who incited the violence... if Mitchy McConz can admit 45 is bad... and you can't... you need help. read more

Best pizza around travel from Ronkonkoma just to get it very nice staff and good prices

This is what NY Pizza is all about. I'm proud to bring friends and visitors from out-of-state to give them some real pizza. Especially the EX-NEW YORKERS Hah! This place in Selden and Colosseo in Port Jeff Station are really the best around. P.S. Little Vincent's in Ronk, always awesome. -Sal Anthony's, could I just suggest you try the panko breadcrumbs or some corn meal on the bottom? I'll love it anyway even if you don't. read more

Anniversary dinner. Called out for take out, Rigatoni Matriciana. Loads of big honkin' tomato chunks, tons of onion. hard pressed to find any prosciutto. Basically paid $15 for rigatoni. Son ordered veal cutlet parm, got meatball. Thumbs down. Should have gone to Mam Lombardis as planned read more

the pizza itself was really good, best i've had in a long time, and the man serving me was very polite. the interior of the establishment was very nice and clean as well. i would definitely eat here again. read more

Just ok, I've tasted better within a 1/2 mile, nothing really to 'write home' about here.

Excellent pizza... probably my favorite in the area. We took our entire baseball team here for a post season celebration and they were great, just kept cranking out pies and pitchers of soda. Owner is a great guy as well. read more

The best chicken franchese around. This is a nice place to pick up food, or dine in if you are looking to stay casual

A really nice and consistent restaurant. Excellent for fast service on take out. Although i haven't eaten in, it seems as though diners enjoyed the place read more

This place has quickly become my favorite place locally for hot italian dishes. They cook a meatball that momma would be proud of. Although they do cook pizza there (Large 8 slice, small 6 slice, Sicilian 10 slice, and Grandma pizza) which are all quite tasty, the reason I go back is for their well price dishes including baked dishes like Lasagna and Baked Ziti - I say go there and enjoy the Sal-Anthony experience!! read more

Best pizza in the area! When I moved out here it took me a while to find a slice that I liked and so far nothing matches up to Sal Anthony's!!! read more

Pizza by the slice and Caprese salad for lunch. What a find! The gentleman/owner is very proud of his food and should be! If I lived near here I would try everything. NY pizza at its' best. read more

Love this place! The pizza is always right on point and always fresh! I've catered from them for Christmas Eve a few times and it's always delicious! Their rice balls and potato crochets are always a big hit and their penne ala vodka too! Did I mention the owners are so nice and personable? I would recommend this restaurant highly to anyone looking for true Italian food! read more

Some of the best nonna slices! And the catering is awesome. Always clean and friendly staff. No nonsense NY slices. A must every time I'm in NY. read more

A great place to eat. This is the best place to eat in the area.(eat in or take out)Great tasting food, good portions and very good prices. I recently catered a party from them and with Anthonys help setting up the menu the party was a huge success with everyone asking where was the food catered from. you gotta try the penne ala vodka, best sauce on the Island. Stop by and give it a try! You won't be disappointed. read more

The food was great. However I was not happy with the service. We walked in to an empty dining area, sat down at a table and no one came to take our order. I eventually had my teenage daughter get two menus for us to look at. No one came to the table to take our order so she went up to the counter to place our order. He did bring our food to the table and cleared the table when we were finished. I was appalled when he gave us the bill and added on an 18 o/o tip for himself. I wanted to say something but didn't want to make a scene in front of my daughter! read more

They used to be the best around, but recently they have gone cheaper on ingredients pizza has become saltier.. ehh its still a good slice tho. read more

Best italian around. Way better than Cafe amici and the owner is a great guy who actually cares about his customers. Any dish is top notch and the pizza is authentic Italian cheese on the bottom than sauce. Catering and to go is just as good as getting it fresh. Wish I could give it 10 stars read more

Hands down best pizza. Not soggy or oily, cheese actually has taste to it. Eating this pizza since we were kids riding bikes to the one in Farmingville. Always a pleasure to see Sal and the crew. Comfortable atmosphere with really good Italian food. Love being back home to enjoy it again. read more

The food is good but the service is not. I had a restaurant.com certificate I wanted to use. Last time we dined in and the owner told me I could use it for take out too. This time I wanted to use it on take out. They guy behind the counter was not the owner but he said that we couldn't use it that way and lied and said that restaurant.com was out of business and he cannot accept the certificate. I will never go there again. read more
