Service was great! Sushi was so lacking since the last time we went. I have pictures, since when did they decide to not put the ingredients into the sushi. It was all rice. This is 5/31, Sunday morning. Maybe it was a new chef or something? The review didn't post the pictures. read more

Sakura has perfected their game. Sushi rolls are excellent. Service is good. Delicious seaweed. Unagi is the bomb!

Worst of the worst. The teriyaki beef was so tough it was inedible. I had sushi and it was mushy with no flavor. Won't be be back

Great sushi and sashimi at a decent price! The service was spot-on and the dining experience was delightful. We'll be back soon!

I came here for lunch with my parents on a Sunday after our church service. The service is always fast, the ambiance is decent, and the food is always great! The servers are fast in doing their job. *Thumbs up*. My dad and I ordered chicken and steak hibachi, respectively, while my mom ordered the shrimp udon platter. As for the dessert, we ordered banana tempura with vanilla ice cream for the table! Everything that's on the menu is all good! read more

I got my order to go. The orange Chicken and steak bento box were very good. It took about 15 minutes for my order so it must have been made fresh. The fried rice that came with the meal was nothing special. I will go back to try their sushi when I have more time. Not many Asian food choices in Livingston so I am sure I will be back. read more

It seemed a little odd in such a tiny town. The food was good. I ate the Shrimp fried rice. IMO it could have a few more shrimp. The Octopus side appetizer was too small. Only about 4 pieces. It was good, not sure how many would share this? Beef and Chicken dishes were good and good portions. Sushi was good. We would eat here again. Very clean and courteous staff. Miso soup was great. read more

Food is good. Service is satisfactory. Has the ambiance of a walk-in closet. Not comfortable surroundings. Best for pick up orders.

This is my second time visiting here; both now and my first visit were extravagant. There aren't enough words in our current time able to sum up the bursting flavors, long lasting smells, nor great service I have received today. There are very little flaws I am able to find, but few nonetheless. The only thing I can complain about is the rice. It was bland, and didn't anymore than egg in it. read more

So yes, there is good Asian cuisine in Texas! Here's a little gem hidden in all places, Livingston! We had a little of the edamame and pepper tuna then had some spicy tuna roll along with the crab and cucumber roll, then dinner! Great portions and we ended up taking half of our main course home with us. However we topped it off with mochi ice cream! yum! Will come again. read more

The fried Korean corn dog satisfied my craving without having to drive to Houston. We came from Jasper and stopped in for dinner. The sushi was decent and the kids steak hibachi was a good serving. It was enough to share between two kids. The Thai tea was good- we just wish they had a boba option. The miso soup and mushroom broth were tasty. Overall the family and I enjoyed the ambiance, quick service, and clean restroom. The AC was so high the kids and I got cold sitting in there. I suggest wearing a light jacket or sweater if you're prone to being cold. My husband who's more hot blooded thought it was perfect temperature lol read more

This newly opened spot was having a large post-lunch rush as we arrived at 2:30pm. We were sat promptly as was a party of six. Our original appetizer order wasn't available and we selected Shumai as an alternative. It was beautifully presented 20 minutes later. Our order was placed while we waited for its arrival. Our order didn't arrive for another 45 minutes . When it did it was presented as nicely as I've seen and was fresh and satisfying. We ordered the Michu for dessert - both were excellent. Slow service from this new spot will surely improve. Be patient and you'll have a really quality experience. read more

1st visit and the place left quite the impression! At first sight it was very clean and had a welcoming ambiance. The service was very good and everything was delicious. We started with the seasoned edamame. It was served hot and very well seasoned. We asked for them to be a tiny bit spicy and they were perfect! The main entrees were the Hibachi grilled chicken and the Shrimp Yaki Soba. The hibachi chicken was cooked to perfection. Very moist and full of flavor. The meal included a miso soup (delicious), fried rice & veggies. Everything was cooked perfectly and freshly made. The Shrimp Yaki Soba was very flavorful as well. It had shrimp, carrots, peppers, and cabbage. The noodles were soft and the veggies were cooked just right! I almost finished the whole plate because it was so good! I'm glad we stopped in by chance. We will definitely be stopping by again the next time we are in the area. I was pleasantly surprised to receive a card for $10 off your visit when fill it with stamps. You get a stamp for every $20 spent! read more

The miso soup is excellent! The specials include miso. Sashimi lunch was generous portions of 4 fish. Very fresh. Very tender. The lunch rolls are smaller but well proportioned. Rice is just enough to maintain a good balance of taste. The sushi rice itself was well balanced. They have Japanese tea as well! Everyone is Japanese! (I have been to places where the chefs were Chinese, Korean, Mexican and American!) They have a Thai soup! Tom Yum Goong! The Tom Yum is EXCELLENT. It is well balanced while being "American spicy"! I eat at Thai Buddhist Temples - Mai phet! Mai gin! ( if it is not spicy I don't eat!) Definitely a place to return to! The staff is very friendly and helpful! Came back for dinner. This review did not post!! The Rocky Shrimp is an ok appetizer. The broth on the dumpling soup is rich and tasty. Lots of things on the menu left for me to sample! read more

I am not a big fan of Japanese food but my wife is. The thing about this place is it is without a doubt the highest quality food for miles around. I have had sushi, sashimi, teppan, bento, and tempura all over the west but this place has absolutely the freshest fish. Tempura is also of a very good quality. I also had their hibachi steak and it was some of the best steak I have had in Texas. Not the kind of place to go if you want volume and. cheap. The price is more like Houston but so is the quality. Service is good, ambience is clean and modern. If you like Sushi or Japanese food try this. I think you will like it. read more

So glad we have a place like this in Livingston! Every experience I've had at Sakura has been with yummy sushi and great service. I used their website to place an online order for pickup this time. It was super simple to use and they fulfilled my order perfectly in a timely fashion. My family's first time trying sushi from here, and they loved the California, Philadelphia, and spicy tuna rolls. Even if you're not a big sushi lover, it's definitely at least worth with a try for the price, quality, and convenience! read more

Fantastic! The sushi pizza is excellent as well as the pit stickers and shaggy dog roll. I'll definitely be back!

A good place with some basic Japanese style menu items. It helps that there's not much in terms of competition around in the city, since most of the options would be fast food lol. But I love the teriyaki rice plate personally. They give plenty of rice vs. meat, and a good amount of vegetables. read more

My husband, daughter and I ate here for the first time ever today and it was Amazing!! We order stir fried shrimp and rice , tempera shrimp and vegetables, a house salad with ginger dressing , Philadelphia roll, and the vegetable roll and all was delicious .The waitress was great she was attentive without hovering and very quick to serve. The only complaint is they need more space they are way to good for such a small area oh and calories on the menu is always nice read more
