Lake Livingston needed a good waterfront bar and grill. We arrived and immediately got seated, which was surprising for a Friday night with a big party. The appetizers were the best part. looked up the menu online and called in a to-go order. When I called, I was told they didn't have any of the burgers listed on their online menu. No problem--it's a new restaurant, so that's understandable. What surprised us was the response when I asked what burgers they did have. The person on the phone said, "Umm... I don't know... umm... you'll need to figure out what you want and call back. I can't sit on the phone with you; I have more important things to do." Needless to say, my mouth dropped open, and I was stunned. My reply: "Wow. Thank you for the information--that will certainly make for quite a memorable review." Sad, because the food is pretty good. We enjoyed taking clients there. Well, I guess they have more important things to tend to than customers... Makes me sad. read more

The service was awesome for a Sunday! I really enjoyed the Seared Ahi Salad!! My friend had the salmon and she said it was delicious. Nice casual place and on the water. I saw a dock where you could tie up your boat....should be a great lake destination for boaters. read more

We have gone here several times, trying to give it a chance. The food is great here. The problem is going to be the manager and wait staff. I was served a bottle beer with a broken top, which just about cut my lip. I asked for a different one. They actually had to take my bottle, evaluate it, ask several people if they seen the broken top, and then decided to give me another. It was a friday night, I called before we went to ask when they closed. I was told 11. Then we get there at 9 and at 10 they tell us they are closing, manager wanted to close early. The manager had her daughter in the resturant, who was screaming all night. But your hours are until 11, you should not at 930 decide to close at 10. Just a lot of problems they need to work out or it will not make it. read more

I've debated leaving a review for over a week, and ultimately decided I need to. I would like this place to make it, but based on our first two visits it looks unlikely if something doesn't change. I never leave bad reviews anywhere, so this is my first. This was the 2nd time my husband and I have been to dinner at Pacific Yard-house. We were hoping the second time would be better, but unfortunately it was not. First, it appears that no one is in charge. In addition, one is taking care of the bar area. Our waiter was making our drinks and others while attempting to also take care of his tables. He was doing the best he could while numerous wait staff stood around doing nothing. Secondly, the food was not good - not at all. We had the beer cheese and pretzels as an appetizer. The " beer cheese " was clearly just canned cheese, not beer cheese. Definitely nothing special. We also had a shrimp poorboy. It was actually terrible. Im pretty sure they used tiny, frozen, salad shrimp. Not at all fresh. I do love the location and I'm hopeful that someone will make the needed corrections so this place will survive! We will give it one more try down the road. I hope I can edit this review. read more

We live in Point Blank and we're glad to have a restaurant close to home. First time we at Pacific Yard House ,food was very good and our waitress was extremely friendly and attentive. We returned last night, expecting same experience. We ordered an appetizer, entrees and a salad. The waitress brought the salad. We asked about appetizer and she said " Oh yea I'll check on that. Appetizer comes out , immediately followed by entrees. Ok no big deal. However both our entrees were so salty we could barely eat them. We should have sent them back but didn't want to wait another 20minutes .My entree had pico and I thought if I asked for additional, it would cut the salt taste. Was brought a small cup of pico, which I added but didn't help. Waitress brought check, and as I looked at itemized charges, was billed $.50 for pico on a $78.00 meal. Paid and asked to talk to manager. When I asked about charge, she said they charge for extras. Told her I was trying to make meal edible, instead of sending back, she said nothing and acted as if I was wasting her time. Finally ,after an in comfortable moment said "I'll say something to chef" and left. Nothing like spending nearly $80.00 on a meal and feeling like they're doing you a favor by letting you eat there. We moved from Conroe and were super excited to learn PYH had opened a location in Onalaska. We visited when they first opened and everything was exceptional from the start with the managers and staff constantly checking in to make sure the quality and overall experience was top tier. The food is full of flavor and served at a good portion size (I've never left disappointed or hungry) and the staff is really friendly and makes us feel welcome every time we visit which is refreshing and nice. There are a couple good places in town but Onalaska really needed a restaurant that checked all the boxes: good service, friendly, fun atmosphere, cold drinks, beautiful lake view, and tasty, gourmet-style food. This is our favorite go-to spot to take the kids or enjoy a date night. Definitely recommend trying them out :) read more

Food at lunch was very good at a decent price but the service staff were disorganized and therefore the service was very slow. The waitress we eventually got was good and despite the "new opening" problems we will be back to enjoy the food and hopefully this time an organized service staff. read more

this was real life the WORST experience i've ever had at any public place! first we got there and before we sat we asked for a highchair, 5 minutes in nobody brought one, our waitress asked for our drinks, (2nd time I asked for a high chair) bring us our drinks STILL no highchair. At this point 2 other families had been seated WITH high chairs. I went in to grab one and they gave me a super tall one for the bar tables they have outside, we had to move tables mid appetizers and drinks. Then we ask for the crawfish boil, everybody had already got their food and they come and tell me there's a 15 minutes wait for the crawfish. MIND YOU THE PEOPLE THAT HAD BEEN SAT AFTER US GOT THEIR CRAWFISH. The manager owner (not sure bald guy) was extremely rude! The food was 3/10! service was -10000/10 read more

Small amounts for high price, food tastes good but we left hungry. Very noisy but it is a sports bar not really a place for nice ambience

We ordered 5 pounds of crawfish- when they arrived they were room temperature at best. They obviously were not freshly cooked. Our server told us "they were cooked earlier, but they were in the cooler so they were fine". We sent them back and the waitress seemed truly offended. The restaurant was busy but was seated at the bar and waited for table which wasn't long at all . we were greeted and got seated , waited on immediately and had great conversation with server and did meet the owner which was very nice to visit with .Our fish dinner was outstanding and not a crumb left . Wasn't impressed much, service was good, food was mid, sweet tea was good but I expected that @ $4.00, one suggestion If you are having to wait 25-30 min for a table bring a lawn chair or something because they have no benches for waiting, and being in an area with alot of elderly and disabled people it would benefit you to have a place for them to sit while they wait.
