Awesome bacon cheeseburger! The fish sandwich was huge and very fresh Service is quick and friendly - the kind of place you go to again and again. The only thing that can approach the food is the gorgeous view of Lake Livingston from the shaded deck with an ice cold beer in your hand. We'll definitely be back

First time to Wet Deck with friends and it was a wonderful time! Plenty of parking, relaxed vibe, talented live music, full beer and liquor bar, plus great food truck. We stayed for sunset and it was beautiful. Highly recommend for date night.

Friendly staff. It's a great space inside and really nice boat slips. One important detail, You need to pick up your own food! Repeat pick up your own food at the window. But I have to say the catfish sandwich was delicious.

The ambiance of this place is very laid back, relaxing, and simple but full of character. The layout makes this place simple, open floor plan with a bar centeralized to be able to keep a view on patrons. The best part, the huge deck wirh tables to enjoy conversation while enjoying an ice cold beer. The deck wraps around a large tree that provides shade as you watch the sunset over Lake Livingston. People: it's Texas, everybody here is neighbors. You're guaranteed to get a warm welcoming "hello" from the locals. Food: the kitchen and bathrooms are still out of commission. However they donprovidw a food truck and port-a-johns. If you order from the food truck stay away from the hotwings, get a hambergwr instead. Service: the employees seem to enjoy working here. They're smiling and seem to be well liked bybthe clientel. I enjoyed their kindness, HOWEVER, do not expect them to ruch you a drink. Kick back, relqx, and enjoy the atmoshphere. Your drink will make it to you. This was my first visit here, I look forward to enjoying this place each time I return to Livingston.

Great outdoor deck overlooking the lake and good burgers. You can dock your boat and walk right up to the deck.

Larger than life these folks are! Waitstaff is over the top and the bartender is a great lady - it's like Cheers but better.

Right from the start, the atmosphere hit the perfect balance: lively and inviting but not overwhelming. Whether you're heading there for a casual dinner, drinks with friends, or a date night, it feels comfortable and relaxed without ever feeling generic. The décor and layout are thoughtful -- not flashy, but definitely memorable. The menu? Outstanding. Every dish I tried was clearly prepared with real skill, not just thrown together. The flavors were bold without being heavy, fresh without being confusing, and absolutely balanced. I started with an appetizer that was creative and flavorful, and each course that followed kept building on that good first impression. Portions were generous, too -- plenty of food without feeling like you're overstuffed. What really sold me was how every plate tasted intentional. You can tell the kitchen cares about the details -- the way flavors layered, the way textures played off each other, and even how each dish looked when it was served. That kind of consistency is rare, even at places that think they're fine dining. Service was equally impressive. Our server wasn't just friendly, they were attentive without hovering, knew the menu well, and offered recommendations that genuinely improved our meal. It's always nice when staff can talk about food like they actually enjoy it themselves -- it makes the whole experience feel a lot more personal. I left feeling completely satisfied -- not just because the food was great, but because the entire evening felt thoughtful from start to finish. If you want a place in Livingston that combines quality food, a great vibe, and service that actually elevates the experience, Blue Duck Kitchen & Bar is absolutely worth your time. Five stars well earned -- I'll definitely be returning.

The bar is always lively, creating an energetic atmosphere, while the servers move with impressive efficiency to provide attentive, friendly service--even during the busiest hours. The standout dish is undoubtedly the chicken-fried steak, which offers exceptional flavor, generous portions, and outstanding value. It's easily one of the best in town for both quality and price. The dining room is spacious and comfortable, though its popularity means it fills up quickly. On Friday evenings, a brief 5-10 minute wait is common, but the food, service, and inviting ambiance make it well worth your patience.

We have visited on Friday nights for their rock solid seafood buffet, and also for breakfast. Their Chicken Fried Steak has been wonderful. So we weren't novices to Alma's food. We arrived glanced at the shops in the same building and entered. We were seated right away. We were given the Green Menu, and the $9.75 luncheon menu. Drinks were served, and chips and salsa presented. We asked for a medium queso as well. The queso was nice, hot and tasted great! The salsa lacked flavor, was watery, and was really a disappointment. We ordered luncheon specials, and an order for take out as well. The meals were brought out quickly, and were as anticipated. But again, the Mexican rice had no spice, was bland even for unseasoned rice. Adding salsa and salt did not cure it. The charro beans were piping hot, and better. However, they were again lacking seasoning, were watery, and did not inspire any smiles of enjoyment. Our friendly wait staff brought our check, and our to go order at the same time. We paid, and exited. For updated Tex-Mex flair, this was more fizzle and disappointment The wait staff was excellent, but the kitchen staff failed in almost every department. Not sure why the total failure occurred, but this is miserable Tex-Mex with no flair.
