We shared the meal that includes an appetizer and dessert, which was more than enough food for us. For the appetizer, we chose the fried green tomatoes. They were perfect. Our entrée was chicken-fried chicken with mashed potatoes and fried okra, and every bite was divine. My husband also ordered a side of collard greens, and they were excellent. Then came dessert. Buttermilk chess pie is my husband's favorite, but he rarely orders it because he's afraid it won't measure up. After one bite, he declared it "righteous," which means it passed his very high standards. I thought it was fantastic too. The service was great, and the restaurant has a quaint, family-owned feel. Definitely worth the stop.

We will be back down here a few times and plan to eat here again! Sorry no food pics, we were hungry and spaced it.

The bar is always lively, creating an energetic atmosphere, while the servers move with impressive efficiency to provide attentive, friendly service--even during the busiest hours. On Friday evenings, a brief 5-10 minute wait is common, but the food, service, and inviting ambiance make it well worth your patience.
