I went there before I even looked for reviews. I may have gone anyway. My food was great. I ordered a Torta. First came the chips and salsa. It is a good salsa, but not similar to store-bought. I ate it all up. My Torta was probably the best one I have ever eaten. Many other Tortas in my past have had the asada almost burnt. Not this restaurant Torta. My boyfriend and I ate lunch here on a Thursday and were met with very friendly faces who gave us great service, served us amazing food (that came in big portions) and we really just had a great time. Food was very disappointing! My family and I went here on Friday the day after Thanksgiving. We were a party of 8 adults and 4 kids. All of the meals were very disappointing, definitely not what you would expect. Service was terrible but maybe that was because of our timing, idk. Decent food for the price. The tacos Al Carbon were good. The fajitas were also good. The enchiladas were decent. They don't have their liquor license yet so you get two free beers or margaritas with your entrée. The one knock that I have on them is that they had one server for the whole dining room. We went to this place with a group of six (6). We each received two (2) free margaritas as they do not have a liquor license. So after 4 or 5 they give you two (2) free margaritas or two (2) beers at any time while they are open ( not sure what kind of beer). The waiter was very nice and accommodating. While he was very busy he was attentive to our requests. The ambience was interesting there was a fountain in the center of the restaurant to drown out other conversations. The lighting and artwork were all very typical for Mexican restaurants. The enchiladas were delicious, the tacos were very good and tamale was good. This place is a gem. read more

The food is still good but the service has become terrible. They don't have enough staff to take care of the customers. On Labor Day it was only moderately busy but I think there were only two workers. They finally had a woman come in to help. One customer waited about 10 minutes to pay his bill. We ordered chicken tacos with charro beans. That simple meal took over an hour, and came with refried beans. We asked for charro beans so they brought it out. Mine had 6 beans in it and my wife's had 7 1/2 beans. This was the third time in 3 visits that the service was bad, so they have lost us as customers. I gave them a second then a third chance, but we will now go elsewhere. read more

I went in to this place today and ordered a Taco Salad to go. I asked how much it would be for a small side order of green sauce instead of the regular red sauce. I was told by the management that its only free if you order in while you wait for your food. I sat and waited a good 15 min. for my food. I guess my time isn't important. I got the owner's number from the manager, who is the owner's son. I got home about 5 min. after I got my food. The shell that the Taco salad was in was burnt to a crisp.on half of the shell. The meat was cold. It obviously had been taken out of the fridge and left at room temperature. There was no flavor to the meat. It tasted like it had not been seasoned at all. like it was simply browned and drained. I got home and called the owner. His voicemail is all in Spanish. Guess that speaks volumes. read more

Love this place! We drive out often from a nearby town just to eat at this La Casita's. Their food is always fantastic. We tried some new (to us) selections this time, the Mexican Guacamole and the boiled shrimp dinner. Both were fantastic. The shrimp, potatoes, and corn were prepared to order and perfectly cooked! Huge, spicy and tender - no overcooked bland rubber shrimp here! Soooo delicious. The Mexican Guac, a delightful combo of coarsely chopped avocados, onion, tomatoes, jalapeños, cilantro, and lime, was freshly prepared, also. Very tasty! ¡ Muy sabroso! read more

Food was flavorless and cold. I had shrimp tacos. The shrimp were over cooked so all I tasted was undercooked bacon. Service was okay.

NOT okay to have one server on the floor and expect him to pull off a lunch rush then expect him to flip the tables back for MORE customers!
