Alright, I've been eating here for a while now. Amy is the owner, and I think she always works. I asked her once about the lack of tobiko on my roll, since it was in the description. She said most Americans don't like it, but they will put it on if I ask. So, now I ask every time. We still order gyoza and seaweed salad at dinner as appetizers. Happy hour for half priced rolls is from 3pm-7pm, so don't show up late. I've recently been having lunch here a couple times per month. The all you can eat lunch special is a great deal! Multiple half rolls, plus various appetizers, etc, all for the price of a normal roll. Not sure how Amy affords this, but I like it. I'm changing them to 4 stars because they finally updated all of their tables on July 4, 2016. Nice, clean, non-sticky surfaces. read more

I went yesterday and told the hostess that i wanted all you can eat for 13.95 and she gave me a full menu and i even told the guy making the sushi when i order my first roll. (Tako) all you can eat righ ?? and he say yes. Soo after i order 3 rolls and i was ready to pay they GOT ME. With the price of regular menu at 1/2 off i was very mad of them cause they told me i order from the regular menu. And not from the all you can eat menu. So. Be. AWARE if you go eat there wlilhen you oorder the. First roll ...better yet. PAY UP front so there will be no surPrices at the. End.. for me. . That was the last time i go to that. This sushi joint is a good option if you live in the neighborhood, and want a solid and filling meal on the cheap. A clean and modern location, kind staff, and all you can eat specials are what keep my husband and I coming back, but the sometimes slow service and the lack of unique rolls leave much to be desired. Definitely not the best sushi I've ever had, but if you like lots of sushi with no frills, this is a great place! I recommend the golden roll, safeway roll and love the fried banana in the all you can eat menu...portions are small, but you can always order more!! read more

The service was great. Unfortunately the food was mediocre. My chicken teriyaki roll was too loosely rolled and kept falling apart. So did one of my hubby's rolls. And the crab seemed to be mixed with something creamy. I like my crab to just be crab. Hubby really liked the Safeway roll though. My wife and I decided to check this place out after work on Friday. We didn't make it in time for 50% off sushi rolls which sadly ends at 7pm, so we got stuck with ordering dinner. Ordered a couple of Cokes in which we received two glasses with ice and 2 CANS of Coke...CANS. They charged $1.50 for EACH CAN of Coke with no free refills, by the way. Since their asking prices for specialty rolls were $15+ (no thanks), we decided to order an appetizer (tuna poki, which was around $14) and some dinner platters (roughly $17 each) instead. The tuna poki was good, tasted fresh. Call me picky, but our dinners didn't come in bento boxes like most Japanese restaurants serve them. They did come with the usual fare of miso soup (no seaweed or tofu), salad, and rice. My wife ordered a two item (spicy tuna roll + shrimp tempura) as did I (gyoza + chicken katsu). While my wife enjoyed the shrimp tempura, she wanted to add that her spicy tuna rolls looked like they were rolled by amateurs and she only ate 2 of the 6 she got. My gyoza and katsu were decent, but nothing to write home about. What really threw this review under the bus however is that after wrapping up our dinner, since we couldn't get any free refills of Coke, my wife asked for an ice water. As she took a couple of sips she noticed..."particles" in her water. Upon further inspection of these "particles", it was found that they were some kind of small fruit fly or flying bug or something...IN her water! She showed me the two that she found and when I stirred the water around more, a couple more popped up from the ice in the water. NOPE! Just nope! Makes us wonder if there were bugs in our Coke glasses. Just gross! Total bill was around $57 for what we ordered. Can get better food and CLEANLINESS...FOR LESS elsewhere. So.. I'm in town for the holidays and this place just ain't the same. What happened to the asparagus and steak app salad?! Why did they give me ranch dressing(a Crappy brand) with my deep fried soft shell crab app? Crab tastes like the freezer it's been stored in. The agedashi tofu is soggy and not very appealing by the looks of it. Server looked at me crazy when I asked for a side of green onion. My mom ordered a dinner combo salmon teriyaki/shrimp tempura. I come here every so often. And my experiences just keep getting worse. This last time I went, the fish was not fresh at all. It had that rancid fishy smell. I have never been to a sushi place that's served me fish that smelly before. The service has also always been subpar. Used to always go here for lunch almost once a week with friends, food used to be great and service was even better. Suddenly today it's almost as if they pulled a complete 180 they were rude, the fish was not cold it was served room temp, the flavor was way off too salty. I am sad to say that our favorite place for lunch has diminished. I also thought it was odd they were only putting half as much fish and twice as much rice on as usual, it was like I was eating room temperature rice sushi. I have many other friends that go there as well after sharing my experience I am sad to say like about 20 of there regular customers will be looking elsewhere. read more
