Bought something at 10:15am, returned it at 1pm. The tagged was ripped off and I was fine with store credit. Nothing wrong with the item; sometimes the tag is in the way so I carefully took it off. Could have pretended to just placed it back carefully and they wouldn't know but didn't think it was a big idea. $400 suit going to waste. Went to Nordstrom Rack, way better selection and more employees to assist. The ladies there weren't bad just the policy is horrific. At least store credit?!? read more

Very disappointing experience today. 1) the place was practically empty, but I know that's to be expected in January. 2) I only saw 2 employees during the entire time I was there. I had to wait a long time to get into a dressing room. I'm guessing they have staffing issues and the employees must be burnt out. I get that but Saks needs to do better. read more

I'm always disappointed when I go into this store. The selection is blah. The store is organized and it's easy to navigate between sections. But it's pretty basic. The prices are decent for the brands. There's always a sale going on. read more

Get into the Tanger outlet melee, find a parking spot - and go straight to Off 5th! In my experience, a Saks outlet or a Neiman's last call are the two best gems when you find them - truly good labels, even if some items are just past current season (well, duh, hence the bargain prices) and if you have an expert (or well-practiced) eye, you can find some true gems. And, as I did last Friday - shopping the day-after sales can be quite worth the effort. En route to the airport the day after Christmas, Mom lightly asked if I wanted to swing by to "check on anything Santa forgot" - um, yes, please. We weren't looking for much - and oh yeaah, they did have a super deal on the last season MK purse similar to the new one I got for this Christmas, so keep that in mind if you have your heart set on a certain kind of bag/style/etc for where you can find the deals - but my real score was their "buy 1 get 2 free" deal - from shirts and dresses, to shoes and accessories - deals allll around. For a total of $115 I got a beautiful cashmere sweater and two chic tops to go over leggings or with jeans. Other stuff including shoes and boots was 40% or more off, and with the selection of labels, it was hard not to find many things to love. I'm not around a Tangers outlet often these days, but like ones I have been to, this one - and this Off 5th- are well-maintained, well-staffed . . . and worth the parking lot roulette to get in, even on a busy busy day. read more

I like shopping at the Saks OFF 5TH at Tanger Outlets in North Charleston as they have many brands at some really good values. It may require some searching and digging, but I am able to find a couple of items each time I have been here such as shirts, shoes, suits, belts, and ties. I like that there is plenty of open space and room to move around here. This place has plenty of selection on most items and you are able to find your size pretty quickly. The staff here is very helpful and and makes sure that you are able to check out quickly when you are ready to make your purchases. I like that this store is available as you can find some items and brands here that you may not be able to find anywhere else in person in the Charleston area. read more

This visit to Saks Off Fifth, hit an all time low. What's happened to their merchandise? Where is it coming from? While I realize this is an outlet, the selection sure didn't come close to mimicking the brands and fine quality I've enjoyed over the years from Saks Fifth Avenue ... or, even Loehmann's. I agree with Wendy F. What in the world has happened to this place? I walked in recently to find that it looked like a tornado had hit inside. I walked around in the purse, sunglasses, and two aisles of shoes before deciding I couldn't be in the shop any longer. The sunglasses were about 50% displayed correctly and 50% all over the place. I'm talking tossed on top of each other down along the bottom of the show case. Who wants to spend $70+ on a pair of sunglasses that have been so thoughtlessly cared for and thrown around? They also looked grimy. Purse section was decent, except some didn't have price tags. The shoe section was a total cluster. It looked like someone went up and down the aisles selectively tossing shoes and shoe boxes on the ground. I actually found a cute pair, but wouldn't you know, they were in the wrong box. I couldn't tell if the price tag on the bottom was correct or if was actually on clearance where it was placed. Shop their online website and forget this mess. read more

I come to this store sometimes - lately I have been going more and it seems like I find some really good stuff lately! I always have a pleasant experience here and the associates are always friendly and helpful. I get overwhelmed with disorganization and sometimes this store is a little overwhelming for me. Other than the shoe section which is organized by sizes (luckily) I find the remainder of this store very disorganized. If I find something that I really like, they never have it in my size. On one occasion I took an item to the fitting room to try it on and found that the item had a snag and bit of fabric had come loose from the garment. I overheard a sales associate assisting the customer in the fitting room next to mine and I asked if she could possibly grab another item in the same size for me as mine had a snag in the fabric, she said sure I'll be right back...Well I waited a few minutes and she never came back with the replacement garment! If that isn't poor customer service then I don't know what is. I haven't been back since... This store has potential but they need to implement some major changes to enhance the customer experience. read more

3 stars for the shoe area only, very organized unlike the rest of the store. I LOVE to shop, but this was terrible. The clothes were not in any order except by designer at least. Sloppy displays (maybe because it's almost Christmas). Couldn't find sizes and selection as you can imagine from an outlet was limited. Just wasn't impressed. I did find the jewelry section very unorganized as well, great deals, so SCORE!! Yes, I'll be back because they have great deals on designer clothes, shoes, purses, jewelry, you name it! Please organize better, we would buy lots more! Recommend only if you want to hunt for a great deal/score! Great Michael Kors section! read more

I get that it is an outlet and that their inventory changes, but I have definitely noticed a sharp decline on the general merchandising/layout and service from even the last year. They removed a lot of this merchandising bays and have just added additional racks to the sales floor. The whole look is cluttered, rummage sale-esque and not at all appealing. Totally chaotic and disorganized. Service level was non existent on the sales floor,too. This store cheapens the "Saks" name quite a bit. Nordstrom Rack just opened in Mt. Pleasant and it is a much better run store with better merchandise more organized and with a high service level. I will start to shop there from now on. read more

I love the selections of quality merchandise at discounted prices. They have all levels of prices from casual to fancy, you can get a nice top for $25 as well as $250 and for any season. Great shoe choices, too! I've been very happy with everything that I've bought in the store and actually tried on. read more

Awful customer service!! I had a jacket ($200) to return and was hoping to find a few other things and exchange instead of return. I went to the check out counter where Linda informed me that they will NOT hold my bag behind the counter while I shop for more things. I tried to explain I was wanting to purchase more items but she told me I would have to carry my bag (with a big winter jacket in it) around the store if that's what I wanted to do. I will definitely not be returning to shop if that's the kind of customer service they want to provide!! read more

Awful!!!! I used to shop here very frequently and it was my "go-to" store for new wardrobe pieces. I will never shop here again! The quality of the merchandise has gone waaaay downhill (they don't even carry women's business suits anymore) but their fitting room "policies" are what put me over the edge. I wanted to try a $30 necklace on with a sweater I was trying on and the sales girl had to literally stand in the fitting room with me and watch me try it on. How belittling. When I expressed my dissatisfaction with this I was told that it's due to increased theft. Honestly, standing in the fitting room with me? Shame on them. I don't get treated this poorly at lower-cost stores. I will no longer shop here - but I doubt they care. read more
