This place is a hidden gem off 610 in Stafford. Our party had the Carnival Boat of sushi and it should have been called the Battleship or Aircraft Carrier of sushi as it pretty much stretched from one end of the table to the other. The sushi was varied and delicious, it was extremely high-quality, surprisingly so for that area, and fresh! The octopus was not rubbery at all, something I have never experienced in Northern Virginia, amazing! My brother had the curry chicken with coconut and he said it was the best he's had in a long time. He had the number two and broke out in a sweat, the waitress said number four is Thai hot! Just a heads up! The waitress was very nice and friendly as well as being very professional, she was always there when we needed a refill or wanted something else. Food is great, but service is rather slow. Servers can be rather unresponsive and getting waited upon after being seated can take much longer than it should. I don't know whether it's a staffing issue or cultural, but that's my only complaint. Otherwise, every food dish is awesome. The best restaurant on 610! They have a fantastic menu, great service and always a wonderful experience. Excellent for a fast lunch by yourself or a working lunch with 20 coworkers. First time getting food from this restaurant. I ordered DoorDash as my kids were craving sushi and teriyaki chicken. The sushi was bagged with the hot teriyaki chicken and when on arrival, the sushi was very warm. The avocado in the philadelphia roll sushi was brown. The sushi was very small and tasted old and bitter. The teriyaki chicken was salty. 8 pieces of philadelphia roll sushi for $7.50 was overly priced for the size. My friend bought sushi for us and upon receiving it, she was halfway through her meal before I realized that there were small cockroaches crawling INSIDE our rolls. When I told her, she proceeded to vomit out of disgust. I called them even though I didn't want to complain, because I have had a great experience dining in, but it seemed like a health hazard and for the amount we paid-- it should've at least been edible. when I spoke to them over the phone, they said would refund, apologized, and then hung up without confirming the refund was processed. Ive ordered from here a few times in the last month whenever I'm having a sushi craving and definitely will continue to do so! Their prices are reasonable and the quality is always top notch. If you're looking for some good sushi in the area I'd definitely go with sake. Their spicy crab roll in particular is my absolute favorite but of course you can never go wrong with their California roll! B+ Relocating from California has been an adjustment. The hardest part my husband and I are having is finding a sushi place as good as home. Nothing so far is even comparable. Sake was great service, even for being very busy on the night we went. We ordered Thai iced tea; which was excellent, hot tea; sadly it was cold, miso soup and edamame. We also ordered two sushi rolls; the First Love roll and one other I can't remember. The rolls themselves we fresh and the fish was extremely fresh, which is important to me. The only thing we could help but point out is that the seaweed inside the sushi is extraordinarily chewy. Melt in your seaweed is so important with sushi that it almost ruins the whole role of its bad. We noticed it at another place in town to, maybe it's just the town. We will for sure be back to Sake to explore the menu more though! read more

Yesterday Night I wanted some Sushi, so I found this restaurant. When I first went into their restaurant there was no one at the door to greet me so I had to figure out where to go on my own. It would of been nice to have someone there and point me in the right direction. I made my way to the Sushi Bar area and that is when one of the waitresses approached me, handed me a menu and took my order for something to drink. Overall the Sushi was Great and that's what I was there for. I had the Orange Dragon and it was delicious. If good sushi is what you are looking for, this place is great. We came as a group of 9 and really enjoyed the place. Most of us got various sushi, to include myself. I also got the Drunken Noodles. The establishment was clean, and simple. The sushi met standards. Our waiter was attentive and helpful. Overall, it was a good dining experience, but nothing that stood out. I'm a HUGE Thai food and sushi fan, and I live off of 610, so I have been waiting for a good restaurant to open around here. Sake is it! I paid close attention to the wait staff because of the earlier review I read here. The restaurant was around half full when I walked in at 7:30. There were three wait staff, and the hostess, who I'm guessing was a co-owner. They seated me immediately. I ordered a chicken curry, specialy sushi roll, and a sushi appetizer. The curry came first in about ten minutes, and the sushi followed shortly after. ALL the food was GREAT. The sushi tasted fresh and the curry had good flavor. Since it was my first time, I ordered the curry regular, not spicy. It didn't have a HUGE kick, so next time I'd order it spicier. I got the Bangkok fried donuts for dessert. AWESOME! They were served with a sweet sauce on the side, which I could have eaten by itself. Overall, it was an excellent experience. The staff mentioned that they had seen the earlier review and had been trying to change things, and I believe them. I'll be back there often. read more

The Bottom Line: If you live in Stafford and you want to have Thai, then I would come here. It isn't the best Thai I have had, but it is still good considering the location. The decor is nice, service is good and food is pretty good as well. Some people are claiming they have been to Thailand and rate this place very low. I think one should consider the location, which is Uber Suburbia and realize this place is pretty good for the location. I have visited this restaurant on three separate occasions and on each occasion I was extremely disappointed. The customer service is AWFUL. The waiters there are horrible and VERY VERY rude. The first visit, the waitress was slow and it took a long time for our food to get to us. The food was mediocre and the sushi rolls were falling apart. The second time I visited, my fiance and I saw our waiter twice during our visit. The food was still sub-par. After our meal, we waited for the check for about 20 minutes. The waiter never came to us with the check. My fiance had to physically leave our table and go towards the back (where the waiters were all hanging out and gossiping very loudly) to ask for our check. The waiter then pointed across the bar at a bill and said "It's right there." He didn't apologize for taking too long. He didn't hand the bill to my fiance. He didn't even check us out. Another employee had to. I'm not even sure why I decided to go back a third time, but I did. I ordered carry out for lunch. When I called, I stated that I wanted to place an order for pick up. The employee who answered the phone then said "What do you want?" as if he was doing me a favor just by answering the phone. When I came in to get my order, I wasn't greeted. I just walked in and paid for my food and left. No smiles from employees. No "thank you" or "have a nice day" from them. When I got back to work with my food, the tuna rolls I ordered were unraveling and the rice wasn't even cooked properly. In conclusion, the food is gross and the staff is rude. This place is so yummy. The sushi is so good. Very fresh and excellent presentation. They have a great selection of sushi combination rolls. The Thai food is good too! The spicy food comes in 4 levels of heat and 2 was good for me. They also have beer and sake. The Thai fried rice with chicken was a little bland tonight but I gave five stars bc the other food was really good, service is great, nice atmosphere, and I really want this local treasure to stay in business.
