I've dined at Sake twice. I enjoyed sushi and Japanese food generally. I don't think Sake was as good as other restaurants in the area. My family and I had the teriyaki chicken -- sushi also. On another occasion, I ate the Poki Don bowl. I don't think the fish as high quality as I expect sushi-quality fish to be. The food just wasn't where it needed to be. read more

Decided to go there for lunch, I was greeted by the friendly staff. Everyone was very friendly and happy to help. We decided to order the seaweed salad with squid and it was amazing, after that we chose several different sushi rolls and they were all very good.I think the restaurant just recently opened. we were the only people in at a time. I have seen the space be the Fox Hole 2, a French restaurant, and now a sushi bar. By far this is the best of the three, the staff are very friendly and the prices are fair. Their service is top notch and we will go there as often as we can. read more

Sake has only been open for about a week and we have been twice already. The staff is wonderful and super friendly. All of the food we have tried was excellent and the prices are very reasonable. We had the gyoza, tempura veggies, and steak skewer apps and all were delicious. We also tried several sushi rolls and everything was fresh and tasty (we like it better than Tsunami for sure!) Took my daughter and wife for an early Mother's Day dinner Saturday. We live in the neighborhood but had never tried this place. The food was actually good. The sashimi was excellent ( a big qualifier for Utah sushi). But, we were seated in the back room where they keep the plants, the area was dark and the waitress didn't turn the lights on until my daughter requested it. We definitely felt excluded based on how she treated the rest of the patrons dining at the same time. Won't say it but we know the reason for the special treatment. I ordered the veggie ramen and the boiled egg. It was the worst ramen I have ever had. To the point where I don't want to each much. It tasted one note and only of greasy tempura oil. The egg was a regular hard boiled egg - not the soft boiled marinated found at other ramen restaurants. I want my money back and I want to order from somewhere else. 0 out of 10. read more

My family and I visited the Sake restaurant in Sandy for dinner. There were five of us and it was a lovely place. It was well staffed. They have a delicious menu full of great options and we enjoyed ourselves. I had the chicken teriyaki and one of my family had udon noodles and they were all very good. The food was delicious, the ambience was just right and they had a beer and wine menu. I had plum wine which was excellent. We would definitely go back. read more

It's hard to find authentic, good sushi in Salt Lake and I was pleasantly surprised by Sake. One of my coworkers took me and I'm pumped they introduced me to this place! This restaurant is more than the name implies. It is not just a ramen bar. 'Was pleasantly greeted and seated. I ordered the beef sukiyaki and it was delicious. I have missed being able to have sukiyaki since the closing of Suehiro. I look forward to coming back and trying everything! read more
