Been wanting to try this place out since hearing that it finally opened! We've been waiting for this place to open after seeing the Coming Soon sign for months. We came here on a Sunday right when they opened at 11am and were the first ones there so service was pretty quick. More people started coming in and service still remained consistent. The place was clean and decorated very sophisticated for an AYCE sushi spot. The menu had a wide variety of dishes and the fact that it was AYCE made it even better! I will say the lunch price is reasonably priced but the dinner price is decent. I think with how much is on the menu, the price makes sense compared to other AYCE sushi places that is a bit more limited on the dishes. I just found my new favorite sushi place. Very impressed with the food quality. All the rolls were delicious. The fish was fresh. I usually don't rave about fried rice or pan fried udon, but they didn't disappoint. We finished all of our food, which is rare going to an all you can eat. Our server was Rosie. She was a sweet, attentive and prompt. Our food was delivered quick. The owners came to say hello and was very personable. Made our birthday dinner memorable and pleasant. First time to Sake in RC 2/15/26. We arrived around 1630-1700 hours...? We were greeted by Jocelyn and she asked if the table over by the sushi making area was ok (not main dining area); we stated it was fine and she was leading us to the table until the manager (in a white vest) started yelling at us...! Do we have a reservation...? uhh no... I did not see anywhere reservations were required.... You can't sit there, blah blah blah... I informed her not to scream at me, and then I told the screaming manager, the waitress (Jocelyn) was taking us to the table, only then did she calm down. I asked Jocelyn why was the manager was screaming at us...? Jocelyn said, oh she talks to everyone like that.... I said, I don't work for her. The manager presented a very awkward situation for us and her staff, professionalism clearly lacking without an apology for the misunderstanding.... Moving forward... the sushi quality was very good, very fresh. The quality of the rolls were very nice, not a ton of rice, presentation was excellent.... The sushi rolls were creative and innovative. The variety of sushi, and other plates were nice. You can taste the ingredients. Where we sat was very bright as the staff need the lighting to create their sushi magic.... A bit loud with the bustling, but that is to be expected. The staff worked together to ensure customers got their orders; staff had each other's backs. To the owner of Sake, the only reason you received 3-stars was because Jocelyn did a phenomenal job as our server and cleaned up the manager's unprofessional outburst to first time customers. What a difference less than a week makes. Stopped by for dinner and a complete 180 experience. The staff were friendly and very prompt. I had mentioned during my last visit the Hamachi Kama was too salty. So I made sure to ask for light seasoning and it was the best yellowtail collar I've ever had. (Chef's kiss). Food Food was hit or miss. It took about 20 minutes for our first order to come out, and even then, a few items were missing like the fried calamari and chicken katsu. When the calamari finally showed up, it was cold, but we gave it another try later and that round came out hot, crispy, and seasoned really well. Same goes for the chicken wings hot, fresh, and flavorful. The fish quality wasn't quite on par with other sushi spots. Im not sure if they source from Sunh Fish like a lot of local sushi spots but it really comes down to how they handle and store their fish and it showed here. The poke sashimi pieces were inconsistent, some thick, some paper thin. Fried items also took the longest to arrive, and by our fourth round, we were still waiting on dishes from our second order. The yellowtail collar was fried instead of grilled, which threw us off a bit. Service Service was friendly but definitely unorganized. From the time we sat down, it took about 10 minutes to get water and 15 minutes for sodas. There were around five servers working the floor, but it just wasn't enough for a busy Friday night. We had to keep track of our own orders because items were missing or delayed. At one point, 20 minutes went by before anyone checked on our table. Another server even dropped off our check thinking we were done, but some food from earlier rounds hadn't even come out yet. The staff were polite and did their best, but the restaurant clearly needs more coordination and better communication between the kitchen and servers. Bathroom The bathroom could use some attention. There was no toilet paper in the women's restroom during our visit, which tells me it's not being checked regularly. Overall The staff were nice and tried to keep up, but the restaurant needs improvement in organization, timing, and consistency. The menu has potential, but execution fell short. The fish quality wasn't on the same level as similar spots, and overall it felt a bit chaotic for the price point. Tip: Double-check your orders as they come out, since not everything arrives at once. Suggestions: They really need more staff on busy nights. You could tell the servers were doing their best but were totally overwhelmed. Plates were being dropped left and right, one sauce plate even landed on my foot. The big group next to us got way more attention and their food came out way faster. The other servers had no clue what food goes to what table we had other orders dropped at our table that we didn't order and they eventually grabbed it and sent it to the correct table. They need a greeter people after us had no clue where to go or how to be seated. Nobody greeted them they just stood there watching others eat which was awkward... I'll probably skip this place next time. For less than $10 more, I can go to other AYCE spots like Pier 50 or It's Sushi, where the food quality and service are noticeably better. read more

This place blew my expectations out of the water! The food is fantastic! The fish tasted fresh and surprisingly thick- normally Japanese restaurants give you thin slices- but I was not complaining! The mouth feel was great and didn't have any fishy taste, which was a pleasant surprise. We got a few rolls too that weren't bad. I wish they allowed a half roll option so you can try more options, but they taste good. For the price of the AYCE it is insanely affordable, especially with everything you get and the quality. Service was top notch and very attentive. It was like being at Hells Kitchen where the servers were attentive, made sure the table was clear as soon as anything was done, and making sure you are taken care of. This place is all you can eat and it is now my favorite. The food is really fresh and well put together. The service is incredibly fast for how many people are in there and how much people tend to order. I go there almost weekly and love it. The staff are great and so friendly. The only thing that I can think of that isn't fantastic is that sometimes it's crowded and you have to wait to get a table. The location is good and clean, it's not too loud and you can easily have a nice dinner conversation. I'm so glad a place like this came to our city. read more

Ok Service. Mediocre Food. Felt Rushed to order and a wait staff was a bit chaotic. I've been eagerly waiting for Sake to open, so I was excited when we passed by and saw the sign saying they were having their soft opening. My husband and I walked in and was greeted right away by a friendly staff. We were seated immediately. Only a few of the tables had patrons, since we were having an early dinner. As we looked at the menu, the wait staff came by our table a few times asking if we were ready, within a minutes of each other. I felt rushed. We told them we needed a few minutes to look over the menu. Once we decided, I ordered the Sky Way Roll, Sweet Potato Roll and the Beef Fried Udon. My husband ordered the Beef Short Ribs and Beef Hibachi. My Sky Way Roll came out right away, then my other 2 items. My husband ended up with 2 plates of the Short Ribs instead of 1 Hibachi and 1Rib. He didn't mind though. We were told the kitchen made a mistake. Moving on....we ordered several more items, wanting to try a variety of things. The Vegetable Tempura (6 pcs) consisted of 2 mushrooms, 2 pieces of zucchini and 2 small pieces of sweet potato. The sauce for the tempura plate was less than a teaspoon. Definitely NOT enough. I ordered fried gyoza. It was ok, but again the sauce for the gyoza (4 pcs) was less than a teaspoon. On more than one occasion, our food was delivered to the wrong table and the other guests had to tell the wait staff that it wasn't their food. I am not sure how long it sat on the other table before we received it. At the end of our meal we were never offered dessert. They asked if we wanted to order anything else, and when we said no, they delivered our check. We had to ask for our ice cream. Oh and both of the ladies restroom stalls were out of toilet paper. Luckily, there is a cabinet above the toilet in the handicap stall that should be locked but wasn't. So, I placed a roll of paper in each stall. You're welcome. :) Overall, our experience wasn't the best. The wait staff was courteous, but seemed scattered and rushed. The food was mediocre for the price. I don't know if we will be back there again. I think I will stick to our favorite AYCE Sushi place, even though it's a bit farther away. read more

Honestly I'm here now with my family and I'm thoroughly disappointed. The food is good but to be ignored and get our waitress to glance at our table but never come by is disappointing. I've watched her serve tables that came in after us and she has made but one single stop at ours. For this level (or rather, lack of) service I would go to Narumi which is up the street. If I hadn't already ordered appetizers, we would have walked out already. Even simple things, we asked for regular soy sauce instead of low sodium, she brought a bottle with enough for one person. She is literally doing every task EXCEPT for servicing our table. We haven't even been able to order rolls yet because she just does not seem to come. We've been here for 35 minutes and she has served a table that came in less than 10 minutes ago and has yet to glance at us. NO TIP. WILL NOT RECOMMEND THIS RESTAURANT TO OTHERS ANYMORE. And while I previously overlooked the bad service because the food was good, I won't be coming back. -- and when she finally came over and we pointed out to her that we did not appreciate the lack of service she made excuses as though I'm not watching her in full view the entire time. We live about 5 minutes away, so thats a plus because our favorite AYCE sushi spot is still about 10 minutes away. The food was great! The salmon nigiri was SUPER buttery. I wouldn't go here again if I was looking specifically for quality fish, but for a good time out if people wanted to go. They also messed up our plate orders twice - one time giving smelt egg instead of tobiko, and another a the wrong kind of sushi. The staff was kind but seemed confused by the menu items. The amount of rice and fish was decent. The rice had a good amount of flavor. The presentation and atmosphere was nice overall, so no regrets even though I wasn't particularly awed.
