To all my sushi lovers: I had the worst Sake Asian experience ‍ The food was okay don't get me wrong, but what really got to me was when we asked for the check. So, we came in for happy hour and sat down and ate. Once we got the check, we saw that they charged us full price for all you can eat. I asked the waiter about it, and he said that you have to ask for happy hour menu, which confused me because it's a promotional thing. Aren't you suppose to honor the promotional costs? I always do that at my job because it brings back customers-- and it would've brought me back. Anyways, he charges us full price. Now the receipt says tip is not required, and typically at their restaurant it's included in the tip. So, I let the waiter know that i'll be putting in my own amount, not the suggested one. Our waiter goes: "no, it's required." And I asked why it said that on the receipt then. He then ripped the receipt in front of me and my little brother and said, "see? Now it's not on the receipt. Tip is required." I don't know about anyone else but I wouldn't do that to anyone: customer or not, friend or not. I won't be going back anymore, and if you could, avoid this place and save yourself the bad day. you deserve better customer service read more

Food was of a 5-star quality. The sushi was fresh, and the rolls were creative, but this place lost one star in my book because their "All You Can Eat" advertisement was very misleading. We ordered a second plate of sashimi for the table, and it was at that time that the waitress told us that we were limited to 30 pieces of sashimi per person, per visit. I informed her that imposing limitations is the very opposite of "All You Can Eat," and that it should be specified on the menu with the other dining rules. We ordered two more rolls and left satisfied. I would definitely come back! A few years have gone by since my initial review (above). This place is playing the same game as last time with the "All You Can Eat" trap, so I made sure they knew that they were in the wrong. Also, they wouldn't combine my rewards points which I have on a few separate cards, which is a ridiculous policy. Lastly the wait for our food was abominable. This place needs to hire a few more chefs, or clean house and find quicker ones. I am downgrading this place to two stars and will not return until they fix the aforementioned issues. read more

The only AYCE sushi spot in Long Island, that I know of. It's also decently priced but they just started to add a 15-18% automatic gratuity to each bill. That's kind of strange to me. I've been here a good handful of times. I like it that it's unlimited sushi, sashimi, appetizers, soup, and entrees. Alcohol and dessert you need to pay extra for. This is a sit down place where you tell your order to the waitress, not like the other buffets where you walk around with a dish and pick what you want to eat. I'm indifferent towards the style of AYCE. The few times I've been there the service was great and fast but the last time I went, the waitress WAS SO SLOW. But maybe that was because it was during their dinner time. Anyways, we would ask for a tea refill 3x before actually getting one and we would also order the same time 2x before actually getting it. The last time was the only time it happened so maybe she was a new waitress. The sushi is pretty delish! Salmon sashimi and red clam sashimi, so good! The rolls are good, can't tell you which one's I've tried because I've probably tried all of them. Don't get any rolls with like sweet plum sauce or any type of sweet sauce on top - it's such a weird combo, for me. But if you're into sweet sauces on your sushi, go for it! Always get the AVOCADO BOWL, SO FREAKING GOOD! Seaweed salad, edamame, and miso soup are staples. They have creative items on their menu like a sushi sandwich and sushi pizza, I wouldn't recommend, it's just so much rice that it fills you up. If you come during peak dinner time you may need to wait for a table. It actually gets quite busy. If you come too late, be cautious of the service. The staffs' dinner time is usually around 9pm on weekends. Other than that, it's a quality AYCE sushi place. read more

I can't imagine how this place could possibly get a 1 star review! The sushi quality, for an all you can eat sushi place is the best I've ever came across (yes, better than Sushi Palace in Centereach) and their cooked dishes and appetizers are full portions! I've brought friends from all across the country and the world to this hidden gem and they have LOVED it! Best bet is to get their specialty rolls, that have the nice sauces to really flavor up the rolls. Chinese, Hibachi and Thai dishes are great too, just as good as quality Chinese and Thai restaurants. Nothing to avoid here. Be adventurous! :) Just to caution: Service quality can vary. Sometimes it can be quick to get food, sometimes it could take more than a half hour or so to get a couple of rolls. This has been a concern for some of the 1-star yelper reviewers. Sushi from a strip mall? Sketchy right? Don't be put off. The prices are fantastic, 4 rolls and a soup or salad for lunch for less then $12? I'm in. All you can eat for $20 but, literally all you can eat. They give you a menu without prices and you go to town. Appetizers, stir fry, special rolls, you name it, you can order it without consequence (just make sure to finish it!) While I wouldn't say it's the best sushi I've ever had, that crown still belongs to my hometown favorite Aji 53 of Bay Shore. I will say it's the best sushi *deal* i've ever had. There's something to be said for coming here with a friend, eating delicious sushi to the point of exhaustion and still only having to foot a $45 bill (As opposed to $80+ at the "high end" sushi restaurants) I'd rate the sushi as above average, and excellent when compared to other all you can eat places. The ambiance is nice, if a bit minimal. The staff doesn't live up to the food / deal. I've had waitresses that seem bored and bothered most times, which is a strange change from the hyper attentive service you typically get from sushi places. All in all though, a great little gem in West Babylon certainly worth checking out. read more

Good food - truly something for everyone, excellent value, friendly staff and a nice casual atmosphere. Came here with a large party a few weeks ago and they were very accommodating - same great service as when I am here with a smaller party. Hopefully as this joint gains in popularity, the quality does not go down as what tends to happen with other places. read more

The food is delicious. It's all you can eat sushi, so you can't go wrong there. There were a few imperfections with a few menu items each time I visited. Not enough to demand a refund or anything, like a little soggy vegetable tempura one time. The most criticism I have to give and the only reason this place didn't get 4 stars is the service. Waitresses hand the wrong peoples food around the table, don't refill tea and water regularly, forgot to bring ordered food out without bring reminded it was ordered, etc. There is also the matter of no free refills on what tastes clearly like fountain soda. The sushi tastes great, they have a lot of very filling, large, rolls. If you can ignore the disappointing service flaws, the food is definitely some of the best sushi around. read more

This place is SO good. We ordered the spring rolls, chicken teriyaki dinner, and four rolls of sushi. My sister said the chicken was cooked really well, and it's a really good portion of food. My mom and I ordered sushi, I had the "Painted Lady" signature roll, and the taste and presentation was amazing. I felt like the sushi chef took his time and made each plate special and beautiful. The decor is really modern, and it's very clean and appealing. Everyone that worked there was very friendly, too. I'm definitely coming back, especially because beer and sake are half off every day. I will never be ordering again from this establishment. I consider myself a regular here , always ordering the lunch specials and coming on a regular basis to enjoy their sushi. Unfortunately last night will be my last time ordering from them. I placed a delivery order around 7:30pm to my job (they always deliver to me here) and in total I ordered 4 rolls. I only received 3 but was charged for 4. I contacted them upon delivery about the missing roll and they offered to give me store credit and I politely asked for a refund to my card. The woman on the phone put me to a brief hold and came back to tell me (this is at 8:30pm) they would send me the missing roll. My work is only 5-10 minutes away. Now it was 9:20 and I still did not get the roll. I called again and they said the delivery man "just left". At 9:35 I call again and they said they were now closed and I would have to speak with someone tomorrow and was hung up on. I just got off the phone with them yet again and they gave me a hard time about being refunded. I have never experienced such a hard time trying to get the food I ordered or to he refunded for what was missing. Never eating here again. read more

I LOVEEE this place. Yelp is actually what brought me here in the first place and I hope this convinces more people to go. Everything is all you can eat: all sushi rolls, appetizers, hibachi, etc. You can pretty much get any asian dish here and it's all included in one price. I've been to other all you can eat sushi places that have a noticeable difference in quality due to it being all you can eat. This place is just as good if not better than regular priced Japanese places. It's not a buffet or a menu where you need to pencil in what you want like some other all you can eats have. This is a normal restaurant where you order off the menu. The special rolls are all really good, big, and fresh. They also have a lot of the trending creative dishes such as sushi pizzas, burritos, and sandwiches. For $30 each my friend and I ordered 2 garden salads, a house salad, a kani salad, a wonton soup, a miso soup, the sushi pizza, and 4 special rolls. We were stuffed and everything was amazing. Our favorite is always the sushi pizza - its so good! An absolute must. I highly highly recommend. I take all my visitors here and drive 30+ min to get here. The staff is nice and the service is quick. There is also an all you can drink option that I haven't done but I've seen a lot of big groups do it and it looks like a lot of fun! read more

This place is located in a small strip mall, which I was a little leary about at first. However me and my friends came here for the all you can eat dinner special, which runs Monday-Friday. For $21 dollars we were able to choose whatever we wanted from the menu, this is not a traditional buffet--but better. The buffet menu did not list prices, but the specialty rolls looked and tasted as if they could normally be about $15 dollars themselves. Tip: make sure you finish just about everything you order, or they will charge you a little bit extra, understandably. The quality of this food is spectacular and should not be wasted. I just called to place a to go order after attempting to do so online multiple times and it did not work, kept cancelling my order or taking things out of my cart without me doing so. I called, began placing my order. The woman who answered the phone was clearly rushing me and did not have the patience to take my order. I work in the industry, you find the time to take care of your guests or place them on a brief hold and find someone capable of doing so to make the guest happy. One of the rolls I attempted to order has avocado in it, I cannot have avocado due to an allergy but others having dinner with us can so I simply asked for it on the side. She then tells me we can replace it with cucumber but can't give it to you on the side (guess businesses is terrible). I said I would just like it on the side we do not want cucumber. To which she replies, we do not have a container for the avocado. YOU ARE KIDDING ME RIGHT?! I said the same little container you place soy sauce in cannot hold avocado?? She said no. This to go order was for 7 people. I said thank you anyway and hung up the phone. Terrible customer service, I hope they are happy that avocado cost them 7 customers for tonight and forever!! Wait..what!? All you can eat sushi for $20...not a buffet, and not horrible? Of course, when I leave Long Island..something like this decides to exist. I've been here twice, once when it first opened and just recently. My second time here, I came on a Tuesday night around 5:30..place was pretty empty, only 2 other tables. I was here with my parents and we opted for the all you can eat for $19.99. THIS IS A GREAT DEAL. The all you can eat menu is basically the regular menu, maybe minus a few rolls? I honestly don't even know..there is plenty to chose from. We ordered a few appetizers, edamame, shumai (2 orders), soup, and salads. I had the naruto roll, rainbow roll, sake roll for myself. We also got the babylon roll, red dragon, and volcano. All were fantastic. We also each had a hibachi dinner, I had the shrimp which was very good..my parents had the shirmp and steak combination. The steak was a little tough. I was feeling pretty gluttonous and decided to order two more rolls (still can't get over the all you can eat sushi thing). I just had a spicy salmon and salmon avocado roll. We decided to try a dessert, not recommended...they use a dessert company, and everything is frozen. Better off going to swirls & twirls next door if you need a sweet fix. Pretty sure I'll be visiting here as much as I possibly can. read more

This place has the best sushi I've tried, and I tried plenty lol. I order their Maki combo lunch special ate least twice a week, ate lunch and dinner (a la carte and all you can eat options). The all you can eat if a great deal, with made too order, delicious and beautiful presentation dishes. I can't say enough about this place... Go there all the time with husband and kids. They have plenty of options from the all you can eat menu for the non-sushi eaters like my 6 years old son. He loves the general tso's chicken, their fried rice, shrimp tempura and vegetable rolls... We were recommended to this restaurant by a friend. We are sooooo happy that we finally tried it tonight. The special rolls were fresh and very tasty. The teriyaki chicken was tender and sweet and the portion was large. We really loved everything that we ordered. The atmosphere was minimalistic and modern but nice nonetheless. The music set a cool vibe to the place. Sam, the owner, was super friendly as was the rest of the staff. It was obvious that he wanted to make us happy and full! Lol. update: while the food is mostly still terrific, the service has become increasingly surly and even somewhat argumentative...decided to try the chicken negimaki at lunch today, and it was extremely disappointing - dry, rubbery chicken that was so unappealing I had to send it back after one piece...the waitress had the audacity to start arguing with me about why i wouldn't eat it, explaining that i didn't like it wasn't good enough for her, she insisted upon details and when i laid it all out for her she more or less stormed off with it to make matters worse, they've taken to nickel & diming customers by charging $1 extra per roll to have them made with brown rice - c'mon guys, extending this simple courtesy won't break the bank & will in fact keep people coming back i'll give them another shot since most of the food as i said was quite good, but if they continue to be rude & cut corners i may be done read more

Just awful experience last night. Certainly not the first time we have dined at this place, but will be the last. Place was not crowded and we were a party of four, 3 adults and one teen (14). The adults were going to order from the all you can eat menu, my grandson from the regular menu. We each ordered 2 rolls and my grandson ordered lo mein and a small fried rice. Our waitress was continuously busy chatting with co workers instead of doing her job. Sushi rolls were left up on counter for at least 15 minutes until she noticed that we were looking at her. Never once did she ask if everything was ok, or if we needed anything. When she realized we were "unhappy", she sent over the waiter to take over. We ordered 1 more roll each, which took forever to get and asked for the check. Not only did they try charging us the price for all you can eat for the meal from the regular menu, they argued about it. Also a 15% tip was added to the bill. I thought a tip was for good service. This is different that the other all you can eats because you get access to the entire menu of high quality rolls and meals, instead of just the cheap stuff. Fancy rolls and pad thai included!
