My review is based on my third visit to this place. It's a really nice all you can eat sushi spot that has some quality tasting dishes. This restaurant is in a shopping center. It seems that these spots are some of the best when ordering all you can eat. On my recent visit I tried the Dinosaur Egg and Spicy Kani salad for appetizers. For the main course I went after the Godzilla Roll, Fire Island Roll, and white Tuna Maki Roll. Everything really tasted delicious! The right amount flavor and the sauces they used to drizzle on top were great bonuses for each dish. Everything was great! It looks like they redesigned their menu with some new things added on. The only gripe that I would see for customers is the recent mandatory for gratuity of 18% added onto the bill at the end. I personally found it OK for them to automatically add that in. But for some, maybe not so much? In the event the server does a poor job serving you, there is no way to give them a tip you think they may deserve based on that. So either good service or bad, you're paying them the minimum of 18%. Maybe this could hurt some of their business, who knows! I'll be back at this place again! read more

Craving sushi and called my regular spot Sakura in Babylon Village & the phone was disconnected! how can that be?! I refuse to go to Kotobuki because they are too crowded. So I yelped this spot around the corner from me. Beautiful chandelier welcomes you into dining & cashier area. extremely friendly staff. I went simple just to test it out. Salmon teriyaki( which was cooked perfect & not too sweet)box with a dynamite roll(very good) & a Salmon Roe(Ikura) roll to go. Delicious miso soup came with the box, tender shumai & a crisp green salad. I wanted to give it 4 stars but had to stop short because of my Ikura hand roll. When I opened the container it smelled like ammonia. Ikura should NOT smell of ammonia. Would I go back? Absolutely! One bad apple won't spoil the whole meal! read more

I am a regular at sake and I have no complaints at all. Their food is delicious,affordable, and quick I will place my order and they have everything ready in 30min tops! The decorations inside make the eating experience so enjoyable and the staff are always quick to fill your water,take away empty plates, and ask if you'd like anything else to eat. Never had a rude staff experience in here, the manager makes sure everything is great quality. Overall sake is my favorite Asian food restaurant and I will always return for more! read more

Went with my fiancée and a friend, they made a mistake and gave us the wrong menu, the one for all you can eat, which turns out is there Sunday special. The manager or owner was very nice and let us get the all you can eat, and eat we did, Six Flag rolls were massive, delicious, and prettier then there picture, the wasabi roll was refreshing and great, we ordered much more, and each thing was greater then the last. Really good sushi spot. The place is clean and to date. Food and drinks came in a timely manner so service wasn't bad. The apps were good. I had dumplings and my wife had Kani su. The rolls can be gigantic. One of mine, the spicy mango lobster roll, was almost impossible to get in one bite. All the food was good and my wife really enjoyed hers as well. They use a nice quality sushi rice and each roll has generous portions of fish. The staff is very attentive and the entire kitchen makes the food to order. I have been in the restaurant business for years and I have even worked in a couple Japanese restaurants. First just the idea of all you can eat sushi is scary for a seasoned eater-outer, I automatically question the quality of the food. Secondly it's in a strip mall, I don't know why that I assume thats a bad thing but I do. Lol So I was invited here by two reliable sources for dinner. We get seated right away, I take a look at the menu and I realize that there are no prices! Basically everything is included in the all you can eat! So the 3 of us order a couple pieces of sushi (high quality fish btw) and some gyoza. Very fast service they had 4 guys at the sushi station. After that the owner comes by says hello and then comes back with 3 sapporas on the house, score! Second course comes out and it looks amazing 3 huge signature rolls (gone in 60 seconds). At this point I remember saying "it stinks that we finished so fast now we have to wait longer for our next course". I was happily wrong, the next course that had 5 huge rolls on it came out in about 5 minutes. Last but not least we ordered two more of the same rolls (4th of July I think), again great timing! Overall I have no complaints or issues which is very rare especially going to a newer restaurant for the first time. When I lived in Lindenhurst I used to pick up take out from this place before I realized it was an all-you-can-eat spot. Now I have been bringing my family and friends here for years. I even got to know the people that work there and the owner brought over a bottle of wine for us once as a thank you for our patronage. I love this place. This review is so well deserved. They took a reservation for 12 people on a Saturday night which was fantastic. We were seated at the back of the restaurant and I felt it was fairly quiet, even as our big group. They switched over to tablets, so you can tap away and add whatever you want- as many times as you want. There was a server who took drink orders and passed by often enough to replenish. They have all you can drink beer for $8 I believe, and each large sake was $5. Being such a big group with basically a fixed price, and having the tablets to order was amazing. The food flew out of the kitchen the moment it was ready, there was literally no wait time. The sushi tasted great, the cooked food was yummy and hot. By the end everybody was super happy and full. Usually the service here is not the best tonight it has made me never want to come back here again. Whenever they get busier they lose all train of what they're doing. We sat for the iPad for all you can eat. Put in two apps two soups. Two apps came out no soup. So put some more stuff in. Sat for a half hour while three tables were sat and got food. Not just food but our food. When i finally asked after 35 mins i showed them the iPad order that soup took a half hour and put newer food went to a dif table. As i was showing him a waitress came over HIT MY ARM AWAY and says I'm wrong don't worry. This was the last straw as the manager came over to grab everything i said don't worry and told him I'll never go back. I have never dined at Sake Asia so this review is strictly for their take out. I have never had a bad meal from SA. The takeout is always correct, delicious and fresh! There are so many different signature/special rolls that they offer - I would however like to see less fried options for the special rolls, and more raw fish. Sometimes we go and there is just too much rice on the rolls (which I know they do that so you fill up faster) and other times it's perfect. Also some of the waiting staff isn't the friendliest. First impression is that the menu is HUGE for the all you can eat sushi. I'm used to the 2 pieces of paper but they give you a regular menu that has drinks and desserts w/ prices (those are not included) but then there's a few pages of the apps, sushi, sashimi (small selection) and kitchen food that includes the Japanese, Chinese, and Thai dishes. I would actually give them 5 stars for the amount of variety, taste of the food, and price which is very reasonable (~$23 for weekend dinner) but they were out of a few of the sashimi selections and the selections are not a lot as it is. For the apps, we got the following: spicy kani salad - good but missing the panko for extra crunch salmon skin seaweed salad - lots of crispy skin strips w/ bbq eel sauce over seaweed salad and lettuce/green salad. I wasn't expecting the green salad so i didn't eat it but this was tasty. fried oysters - very good and oysters were big and seemed fresh (we ordered a lot of these) soft shell crab - tasted good and light, crispy batter shrimp tempura - batter could have been a little lighter but good nonetheless Kani Su - it was good...nothing special salmon toro tartar - on the sweet side and too much breading/panko mixed in but it was good tuna tataki - good but nothing special For the sushi/sashimi, we got the following: salmon sashimi - tasted fine and cut on the small side yellowtail - didn't look that appetizing but tasted fine and again on the small side red clam - didn't look fresh but tasted okay and cut into thirds of what i usually get as 1 piece flying fish roe - red colored and tasted fine but they give you a small amount Eel Dragon Roll - okay and not too much rice Boston roll - rice was good proportion and shrimp was brown/raw? but it tasted fine spicy tuna roll - this was good w/ not too much rice and not too mushy (it looks like they add more panko to the spicy tuna mix which I actually liked better) Fire Island roll - this was good w/ not too much rice or spicy mayo on top. Again, the spicy tuna/salmon mix was not too wet/mushy and I liked this For the dishes, we got the following: shrimp pad thai - this was actually good and not rushed (like some other ayce sushi buffets). This had good-sized shrimps and tasted/prepared like if you ordered it on the regular menu steak and scallop hibachi - the meat and vegetables tasted good but there were only 2 small/medium-sized scallops and really not a lot of steak either. Again, this tasted like if you ordered it off the regular menu but in a smaller size. For the desserts, they're not FREE!!! but it's okay since we were so full from all the good food. I wish this place was closer to me because i'll be here more often. For now, I guess whenever we feel like making a trek we'll head here again. read more

I love this place. I get delivery from here all the time. Last night we went for the first time for the all you can eat, it was great You can order pretty much any appetizers or rolls you want. I didn't ask if we could also get other dishes from the kitchen but next time I will try! The food is so good. I love their Rockies shrimp and their spring rolls. My favorite sushi rolls are the black angel and the x-mas roll (not to be confused with the Christmas roll) all you can eat prices for the weekday was 20.99 it goes up a couple of dollars on the weekend My friend and I both got the all you can eat, we were even able to share rolls. We ordered 4 different rolls at a time. And tried many different ones, aside form my go to favorites we also got a Godzilla roll, a golden spider roll and a Hawaii mango roll. It was all delicious and the bill with tip came to $60. I'd definitely do that again. There's plenty on the menu I haven't tried yet. Update: Food is always good, delivery is usually super fast. My only complaint is when I order online the price is always lower than when they get to my door. I don't usually have a ton of cash in the house so when they charge me more than the online order says it really messes me up. If you want to be unbelievably unsatisfied and nauseous then sake asia is for you. I'm not sure what exactly happened, but sometime in the past year they went from being speedy with high quality food, to barley making eye contact & serving what can only be compared to as "next day gas station sushi". The rice was hard and dry, the avacado was unripe or black, the fish went from grade A to grade C. The sushi taco was burnt and the kani salad on top was dry and flavorless. The red snapper was mushy...and the dumplings were also burnt. THERE WERE ONLY 2 SEATED TABLES BESIDES MYSELF. I couldnt even finish my meal because everything in there basically tasted like they took it out of the trash. After years of continuous business I am sad to say I will never step foot in this "resturant" again. Praying I don't get worms in my eyes from this experience. read more

Ok, I got an order for pick yup, the sushi was in the middle with 2 hot dishes, not it a separate bag, so when i got home it was warm. The gyoza was deep-deep fried. Very crunchy, really didn't taste like anything. The Drunken Noodle was also not very tasty. every thing tasted the same, like it was just a different physical consistency and had a slimy texture. Come here pretty often. The only complaint I have is that there is one waitress who can come across as a bit rude. she has helped us several times and always been a bit unpleasant. However, everything else is very very nice. The sushi tastes fresh. Their unlimited package for beer and sushi are such an incredible value. I don't even know where to start with this disaster. It's hard to believe this could actually happen in a restaurant. I have never gone to such lengths to post a negative review before but I felt it necessary so anyone else out there avoids the same embarrassment I faced tonight. My group of 5 arrived at 7:00pm on a slow Wednesday night. It has been a few months since we were all abpe to get together. One person even traveled from North Carolina to meet up with us and go to this We were happy to see it was slow since we usually go on Saturday nights and it takes a little extra time for the food to come out. Well we were definitely wrong assuming food would come out quickly...or at all. As the clock ticked past 8:30 we began to lose patience as our one friend who ordered all kitchen dishes like chicken with broccoli and lo mein received all of his food within moments of ordering. We all kept looking around waiting and watching other people come and go. We couldn't figure out what was going on and why none of the items the remaining 4 of ordered were coming out. We continued to ask the waitress what was going on and she didn't know what to keep telling us. She looked nervous and scared. She tried to make excuses that we were a big party but it got to the point where we are waiting a hour and a half and the restaurant was clearing out of people so we were one of only two tables left.  Basically this is what we found out. Anyone who ordered kitchen food got it beause that was a different chef but all of the sushi orders never came out! We finally went up to the counter to ask what was going on and everyone there said they were at the mercy of the sushi chef and he will only make what he wants to make. It is an all you can eat place but according to the people at the register area you can only eat what the chef agrees to make!  How is that even possible? All of the waitresses and other staff were too afraid to tell the sushi chef to actually make the orders placed. They said it's too hard to find a sushi chef so their hands are tied. We asked for a manager but they said one was not available. When we asked who was in charge, they literally said no one is in charge. The waitress advised us to go elsewhere to eat because no one can talk to the chef. She recommended in the future to go to their Massapequa location because "there are no problems there." I guess that location has a chef who is willing to make food for their customers. Here is the best part! At 9:00 we decided enough was enough and got up to leave. They still tried to make us all pay! Pay for what? We sat there waiting patiently for an hour and half for food. When we did not receive food we started asking and finally gave up at the 2 hour mark and went to leave. That's when they sent over a terrified little waitress to give us a check! The whole time I was texting my wife what was going on because she couldn't come with us. My wife is 7 months pregnant and wasnt feeling up to leaving the house. She loves the pinapple vegetable fried rice so I promised to bring an order home for her. I wish there was a way to upload a screenshot of our conversation as proof this whole ordeal really happened and just how long we all sat there waiting. So to recap, because I know this really sounds impossible but, we were told the chef there has all the power and determines who gets what food. The other employees even said that the chef is more important than the customers because if you get him mad he will quit and they are hard to find. In my opinion, at this rate they won't need this chef because they will close by not feeding their customers and still expecting them to pay. read more
