Finding a restaurant that can satisfy a group of eight can be a challenge, especially without a reservation, but Kumo Sushi made it look effortless. We stopped in on a Saturday, and despite our large party, they were able to seat us without an issue.
Every one of us opted for the all-you-can-eat menu, and it was absolutely worth it. The ordering system is one of my favorite parts of the experience--you order directly from an iPad at the table, making it easy to browse the menu, try a variety of dishes, and keep the food coming at your own pace. - we were so busy eating I forgot to take more than one picture.
As someone who doesn't eat fish, I'm always a little hesitant about sushi restaurants, but Kumo has plenty of options beyond traditional sushi. Throughout the meal I enjoyed the green salad (which had one of the best ginger dressings I've had), miso soup, cucumber roll, chicken tempura roll, beef negimaki, fried rice, spicy edamame, bok choy, and ice cream for dessert. Everything arrived fresh, hot when it was supposed to be, and full of flavor.
The restaurant itself is clean, inviting, and has a modern atmosphere that makes it a great spot for everything from a casual dinner to a family celebration. My only tip for future diners is to bring a light sweater or sweatshirt--the dining room was a bit chilly during our visit.
From accommodating our large group to delivering consistently good food throughout the meal, Kumo exceeded our expectations. It's a great value, offers something for everyone (even non-seafood eaters like me), and is a place we'll happily return to again and again. read more
