And thank god the rice did taste good because it was ALL rice. At the bottom there was a bite of guacamole and peppers. I think there was a thin layer of refried beans in there but wow. That was just all rice. It sat in my stomach like a lead balloon. I was also given this "sauce" in a container that was leaking. The sauce was very thin, not a normal hot sauce. And it was incredibly spicy, no flavor spicy.

But we wanted to see if we could find something closer and that could maybe satisfy our taco cravings. We came around 3 so it was just winding down the lunch crowd. We had 2 orders of steak tacos, an order of calamari, and I ordered the chicken mole. The steak tacos come with 4. We asked for some spicy hot sauce and they brought us some house made stuff. Hot. Fantastic flavor. The chicken mole was a thin cutlet of chicken breast. I was a bit bummed because I usually get it with bone in thighs or legs. Buuut the cutlet was super tender. The molé sauce was amazing. Best molé I've had yet. Had a bit of a kick to it The calamari app was in the top 5% of all the calamari apps we've ever tried. Will definitely get them again if I'm here. I liked the interior decorations and this place had ample private parking.

Went here last week for cinco de mayo. I knew it would be busy but decided to give it a try. They…read moresaid it would be a 30ish minute wait. Understandable. BF and I got a couple margs and waited outside. 40 mins goes by so I go in and check. They say it'll be another 20ish mins. 30 mins goes by and they say another 30 mins. Pretty hangry at this point. Again, I get its cinco de mayo. We finally get seated more than an hour and a half later. We order the guac and tortilla chips as an app. Guac wasn't bad. Chips were stale like they were out all day of cinco de mayo. My BF orders steak tacos as his entree. I order the Cochinita Pibil. "Slow cooked pork in achiote. Served with rice, beans and tortillas". We finally get that 30 mins later. His tacos were subpar to say the most. Quote "I wouldn't get tacos here again". My dish was the BLANDEST meal I've ever had in my life. It tasted like nothing. I was visibly upset when the waitress finally walked by 15 mins later and told her I couldn't eat it. She asked if I wanted something else so I told her I'd just have the steak tacos because I was starving at this point. She then asked if I wanted a box for the entree I originally ordered and I said no because it didn't taste good at all and neither of us would eat it. She began to walk away and I politely asked if she would still charge me for the cochinita pibil and she said yes so I told her I wouldn't want anything else and to just give us the check once my bf was done with his meal. She didn't pay attention to me the rest of the time we were there. She did end up charging us for that bland plate. Pretty sad. I regret not asking to talk to someone because I guarantee no one in that kitchen would have enjoyed it either, as they were all Hispanic from what I could tell. I myself am Central American so I know authentic dishes. Sad to say I will not be going back there. Good luck!

Upon entering, they have a nice outdoor area to eat with playful decor that makes you feel like you're in Mexico! We were seated immediately, but we must've just gotten there at the right time cause they were so packed! Our waitress brought over water and chips and salsa and gave us a few moments to review the menu. We ordered drinks, a steak quesadilla, and the rib eye tacos and fish tacos. Food came out quick and the staff were incredibly attentive. The steak quesadilla was yummy but I wish they had the sour cream and salsa or something on the side for it. It was only drizzled on top but since they were overlapping, it didn't feel like there was enough. But that's 10000% just personal preference! it was still very delicious! The cabo fish tacos were so yummy, we got them fried and they had a good crisp to is. But the star was the rib eye tacos. SO good! the green guacamole sauce that comes with it paired so well with the rib eye flavor. Hands down my favorite of the night! both orders of tacos also came with beans and rice. I ordered takeout the other weekend and while I waited, there was a live singer/danger performing, so that was fun to watch. I ordered the Vegan Chorizo Burrito Bowl, and the portion was generous - I could barely finish, and I think I saved some for later. The lettuce was crispy and fresh, and the house made vegan chorizo from chickpeas is a fun slightly mealy texture that I crave. I've also had a similar dish in Tostada form, which was crunchy and a little difficult to eat, but fresh and absolutely delicious. It's so exciting as a vegetarian to have multiple protein options at a Mexican restaurant, other than just the classic beans. Parking can be a little bit of a challenge at times - this place always seems busy! They have a small lot you can park in, or I was able to pretty easily find street parking mere feet away from the restaurant. Some people look like they park at the Dunkin Donuts next door at night when Dunkin is closed, too, especially if running in quickly for a pick up order. The dining area is a little small, but there is a special bar area off to the side, and they sometimes have liquor vendors set up during special events giving samples or teaching about their product. I feel such a burst of warmth and sense of being welcomed every time I come here, and can't wait to keep working my way down the vegan menu - THANK YOU for catering to those with dietary restrictions and creating a whole section for us, not just having one dish available and calling it a day.
