Such a quirky little bar in the heart of Chorlton, great atmosphere and reasonable prices. We visited on Saturday night for a drink before our meal, and although it was busy we managed to find a few seats in the back room. The bar is small but well stocked, with a good selection of spirits as well as plenty of beers, ales and ciders on tap. Lovely wine too, and very fair prices. They also have some delicious bar snacks - popcorn, pistachios and homemade sourdough pretzels! The decor is really eclectic - feels like you've walked into a 70s living rooms, with a mish mash of patterns, colours and styles and lots of artwork on the walls. Warm and cosy, with a busy hum of groups and couples chatting away. In the end, we came back later after our meal for a few more drinks, and they had two DJs playing vinyls on the decks. It wasn't sing-and-dance along kind of music, but it had everyone in good spirits. Great little find and look forward to visiting again soon.

The music is a relaxed mix of alternative indie and folk with live performances most nights - the the toilet is behind the performer which can make you centre stage if you need to pass by! And what a place it is. The food is decent pub grub (the burner burger jammed with jalepenos and cheese is a sure-fire hangover cure), the atmosphere local and lively (especially on match days) and the staff are great. In fact, this wholly unpretentious little gem it would be a full-on five star except for the fact that the beer (usually Landlord/Hobgoblin) can be pretty hit and miss. It's divided into two main areas: the main bar and the smarter back room that recently received a lick of paint and some new sofas. The old pool table has gone, but happily the multiple screens are still around - this is a pub that really revels in its sports pub status. The BG is run by an Irish guy, and while not explicitly an Irish pub, the multiple screens often show Irish sports alongside Premier League fixtures, rugby games etc - they're pretty good at letting you now what they're showing via Facebook.

Too bad they don't seem to do the chicken curry with half rice half chips any more - that was tops. Order the Sunday roast or the steak and ale pie and you won't need to eat for a week afterwards:)

Recently opened, the new restaurant is one of the few on First Street so it is quite easy to find. Obviously we took advantage of the January offer and judging by how busy it was on a Tuesday night, so did a lot of other people! Walking it the vibes were really good with great lounge music playing and people chatting away. The menu and drinks offerings seemed to be the same and prices very reasonable. We all knew what we wanted to have anyway- our favourite burger or pizzas! We started with a sharing platter which would probably suit 2 people more than 4, but everything on the board was cooked perfectly. We especially liked the spicy mayonaise as it had a good kick to it. I really liked the burger- big thick and juicy with accompaniments to match and we ordered 1more mac and cheese to share halfway through our meal cos we couldn't get enough of it! The staff were really friendly and bubbly which made the night an even better experience. We sat on the outside tables, so you might want to watch out for the heaters, as they are really hot! I must say, I was very impressed with this restaurant, and dare I say it, as good as the original!

The atmosphere was great fantastic tunes playing in the background which really got us excited for the night ahead of us. We got three drinks one of which was a shared which was served in a massive popcorn container! It was delicious and worth the money. If coming here definitely try one of the cocktails they are gimmicky and very fun to drink! A great place for a catch up session with the girls and for prepping a night out on the town. I will be back!
