She said they would match that price if I could prove that to her. I said I had a piece of paper in my car that had a photo of those Stegmann shoes and the price on it. I asked her if I got it for her would she give me the discount and match the Stegmann price. She said she would. I walked back to my car and got it, and she then told me it wasn't the same shoe when they were identical. I had the photo there to show her. She was very rude to me and refused to honor what she had said about matching the price. This is an inappropriate way to treat a customer. Please respond to my complaint. Rita

I reached out to the shop to see if they could help and they told me they'd put in a warranty claim with Lems. About a month later I checked in and they said they were still waiting to hear back. I'm sitting here yet another month later and haven't heard anything. I've never bought a pair of $120 shoes that lasted 4 days and I was stuck with. Won't be purchasing from this shop or buying Lem(on)s again.

I'd like to give it a better review, but in all honesty, the treatment I receive by staff is a big part of patronizing shops like this - and I didn't get a warm, or even acceptable, reception. I started using La Sportiva climbing shoes in the 80's and, my opinion, they make the best shoes and boots for mountain sports. Evan and coworker were taking care of at least 5 customers at a time and doing a great job. He had deep knowledge of each shoe and asked good questions to get me into the right boots. I overheard other customers getting excellent assistance as well. Having worked in several outdoor gear shops, I recognize superb staff when I see it. Kudos Team Sportiva.
