My young daughter bought a purse online and she went to Pearl Street to exchange it for a different color. She told her she might want to return it and had a long conversation about the return policy, etc. instead of taking note of that and telling her her options for return she just did a gift card exchange, which resulted in my daughter only being able to return the purse for store credit and not the refund she was hoping for. When I went back in with her to talk to a sales person about it, she was incredibly rude and unhelpful. Unfortunately, we will no longer be shopping with this store due to the lack of customer service. read more

This is a really fun store to peruse and shop at - particularly if you aren't looking for anything in particular. I've scored skinny jean overalls for under $50 (yeah sale rack!), killer tank tops for under $30, and amazingly fun printed jeans. Online orders (I like to check there for mega sales) may also be returned directly to this store. While many of the items are flowy they do specialize and carry lots of smaller sizes. Particular lengths (like petite) may be purchased online. There are lots of accessories here to try on and check out. From corduroy scrunchies, to earrings, to sunglasses and purses you are sure to find something you like. The store can be crowded on the weekends (particularly when CU is in session) so I recommend going in on a weekday if you find yourself down this way. I've found the staff to be cordial, with some being friendlier than others. Overall, clean store with colorful and unique pieces to peruse. read more

Cute and organized store! Always go here when shopping on Pearl street too. I would say that I always prefer to shop on the free people website rather than any store because of the bigger selection and sale section is cheaper and better, but it's nice to go to the store as well. Usually at stores like these on Pearl street the service is ok because the associates are always chatting but I would still recommend this store. Free people is pretty pricey but I love the style of their clothing. read more

I know this location is much smaller compared to Cherry Creek, however I feel like I always end ip purchasing more here. The other store may be too overwhelming I guess? I'm a Free People fan, in general. I love the hippie styles and flowy garbs. I'm also a fan of how I can wear a medium in many items from here. However, I must announce that many of their tops and dresses are geared toward women with little to no "girls," aka breasts. There's just no way that anyone heavier than a D-cup can fit in some of those... I've tried. Other items, although they technically fit, just didn't look right, unfortunately. The shirts and dress that do fit are awesome! I have yet to try on any of their jeans, so I'm unsure how they fit the curvier woman. I agree that some of the salespeople are friendlier and more helpful than others. When I visited this location, they were more interested in gossiping with each other than assisting customers. read more

I got a very half-hearted hello at the door, but no further inquiry into my shopping needs, then looked over to find the cashiers staring at me multiple times. Only have been to this location once, today during lunch, but the service was surprisingly great. I tried on a number of outfits and all the employees went out of their way to help and welcomed some small friendly chat. A number of items were sold out but they always offered to check in the back, even when they were mostly certain it was gone, and they brought back similar items I might like in return. In the end with their help I did find an entire outfit I really like. read more

This is one of the stores/brands that fall on my "I wish" list. I love, and have for many years, a lot of the looks, whatever the style of the year is. Until recently when they introduced some items in polyester (which I cannot wear) to their line, I loved the all natural fabrics that they used. They still do have many of cotton and rayon that feel good to me. But here's the issue. They do not make petites, and even if they did, their styles tend to be quite long. I am extremely short. It rarely works. Very occasionally it does and usually turns out to be something I wear for ages. And their goods are pretty pricey. But I figure, it never hurts to look. read more

This is my favorite store in Boulder. I love Free Peole threads and their versatility. I buy many pieces at Free People that I can wear to work, on a date, or just hanging out. I get NUMEROUS compliments each time I wear a Free People item. Their style is unique without being too risque or obnoxious. I think that people may bash this store because they may not have the creativity or confidence to create and rock a Free People outfit. The thing that stands out to me with Free People clothing is that it does not look the same on everyone and it can be accessorized, layered, and styled into a million different looks. The staff at the Boulder store are very outgoing and helpful! Anthropologie just looks like stuff my mom wears, sorry ladies! read more

This is easily my favorite store to buy clothes. Although it is definitely pricey, I can always count on FP to have something unique and chic that I feel great wearing. The staff have always been friendly and helpful. The only downside to this FP location is that it is pretty small. Like I mentioned, I can always count on FP items to make a great outfit. Some of the items I have purchased have stretched out over time (despite washing them as directed) and on others it has been my mistake to not hand wash (be careful of this)! Other than that, I love coming to the store because I can always find something cute to purchase and everyone in the store is super friendly and accommodating. read more

The style isn't everyone's taste, but I have to admit I've bought into the 'paying upwards of $150 to look stylishly disheveled' vibe this place gives off. My biggest issue is the lack of space in the store which makes for less available product, and my hit or miss experiences with the associates. There have been times where I've come in and the girls have been nothing but amazing and times where I felt like I was just a major bother to them. Don't buy anything on the online store. Delivered defective merchandise and then took 3 months, several phone calls, dispute filed with CC company and BBB to get this resolved. Will never buy Free people again. Since they also own and operate Urban Outfitters and Anthropology, I won't shop there either. Can't imagine any different experience with those companies since same business management. Save your sanity and shop elsewhere. read more

This is a fun store to browse, and for me daydream. Day dream I could fit and daydream I could afford. The sales racks are where I make my purchases. The shop is cute and clean. The displays are nice. The staff is always helpful and nice to chat with. It's pretty small though, I wish there was more to look at. My 83 year old mother wanted to buy my daughter and daughter-in-law a gift card. There was a promotion giving an extra $100 for each order of $150. I checked in the store to see if we could get it and after the sales girl had to ask the manager she said it was only online and yes we could do two. So my mom ordered them and had to use my email because she doesn't have one. My wife and I decided to do the same. Well when the extra $100 was sent out. We only got 1 due to me using my email on all of them. Even though my mom paid with her credit card and they were shipped to her address, we only got one. I called and asked the manager in customer service and she said each email only gets one. I said my mother doesn't have an email and since there are clearly two separate orders why not?... after a few minutes she finally understood that my mom had no email and said we should have gone to the store. I said for the third time, we did and they said it was only online. I asked so what do people who have no email do. She said nothing. I guess I should have cheated the system and gave my neighbors addresses. My $500-1000 a year for 10 plus years will go somewhere else. Over it!! read more

I found several items I would have purchased if someone had helped me. The store was NOT busy, and when three young girls came in a few minutes after me, they were greeted and fawned over, and they left without purchasing anything. I won't be going back. read more

Very poor experience with them when placing an order over the phone. I live on the east coast and tried to order a dress for vacation. I had to call back to remind them to ship it on three different occasions. I spoke with the same woman every time and could tell how annoyed she was by me calling. When I finally got my package the night before my trip, it was the wrong dress--style, color, everything (and a less expensive dress than I had originally ordered--but was charged the higher price). I called and spoke with someone else who told me my options on returning the wrong item and that if I wanted the original dress shipped to me, I'd have to pay full price for the dress again and I would have to cover the expedited shipping costs. Obviously I didn't go this route. Really a shame because I love Free People clothing and have been a loyal customer for years. read more
