On 10/22 rushed on lunch break to WGV location. Arrived on time. Was greeted with "Did you get our call? The Dr has left." Then they went on to tell me they had tried to call and left message earlier that AM. I explained that I work in an environment that does not allow for cell phone use and had no way of getting the call. They did not seem to care. After understanding that I was not going to receive any care, I left and listened to the message they had left. It said that they had a cancellation and could see me at 10 AM. It said nothing about the DR having to leave early, which would not have helped me in the slightest. I called the St Aug location and got a supervisor who tried to soothe me with a lie (my impression). Apparently the Dr had a surgery that she needed to get back for. Mind you the message said nothing about needing to shift or cancel the appointment, but rather that they had cancellation and could see me earlier. My other issue is that they should have known the operating room was available before that morning. Is the medical industry so bad they throw surgeries together at the last minute? How do people fast if they are told that morning they are having surgery? With that said, is it fair or compassionate to their customer to cancel an appointment at the last minute? I give this group 0 stars. Bad customer service. Last part of the story is that I was in such discomfort that I called Borland Grover. Although they were busy, they had a cancellation for that afternoon quite far away. I had to go back to work and let them know I had to leave early to drive an extra 60 plus minutes round trip to be seen by a doctor. All of that said stay away from GI Associates.

Dr…read more Riner took me as a patient with Crohn's Disease and GAVE...Not only was he extremely comforting and reassuring me that we can get on top of both diseases and get it under control. I was very concerned as I did not know about GAVE (Watermelon Stomach) and what causes it and what can be done. Dr. Riner took me as a patient and felt that with both diseases affecting my stomach and colon I should further see a specialist and has been very proactive on getting me to a clinic in Orlando. His staff is very friendly, his PA is very educated and patient friendly, and he is very comforting. Thanks for not letting me down Dr. Riner and keeping me confident in my health.

Now I will not say that is a bad thing. This well-oiled machine operates successfully by the skilled and highly experienced medical professionals and staff who run the front office area. Though the lobby is large, it was still a pretty crowded house. I had to take my dearest for a medical procedure here with Dr. Ibach and I found the care overall as highly impressive. I appreciate very much that Dr. Ibach visited the patient (which I did get to be part of) after her procedure, even though she was still pretty dazed as the anesthesia hadn't worn off yet. That was ok. No one forgets good quality Dr. to patient care. Dr. Ibach is a first class experienced professional who I would recommend to anyone anytime. As I watched things move along here, I did notice on the monitor that the names on it moved on and off pretty quickly overall. To its credit, this Borland Groover clinic has created a fine-tuned machine in moving patients along through this medical treatment center. With that, I will add it's good to see their human side too. They do treat the patients in a very caring manner. It is a clinic I would recommend to others. Recommend: HIGH

Despite the seriousness of his condition, the earliest appointment available was more than two weeks away. We repeatedly called trying to get him seen sooner and were told someone would call us back, but no one ever did. Over the course of several days, we made multiple attempts to contact the office and received little to no response. Ultimately, we had no choice but to go to the ER to get the testing and treatment he needed. This was especially frustrating since he had already been an established patient and had been seen there just a few months earlier. The lack of communication and urgency was BEYOND disappointing. I would not recommend this practice based on our experience.
