She does run on time. At least that was my experience. I had to have an endoscopy, which she performed, and she was wonderful before and after the procedure. I was so nervous, but again, she has such a wonderful bedside manner, and she put me completely at ease. She discovered my issue and put me on antibiotics which cured me completely. I don't exactly "want" to have to see her again, but in the future when I need a G.I. doctor, it will be her that I see. I also have that dreaded colonoscopy to look forward to in just 5 more years (yep, I'm giving away my age!).

Having a GI issue and needed to see someone one a restricted schedule. Found GI Associates in WGV…read moreand set up appointment for 10/22/19 at 11:30 AM about 5 days before. On 10/22 rushed on lunch break to WGV location. Arrived on time. Was greeted with "Did you get our call? The Dr has left." Then they went on to tell me they had tried to call and left message earlier that AM. I explained that I work in an environment that does not allow for cell phone use and had no way of getting the call. They did not seem to care. After understanding that I was not going to receive any care, I left and listened to the message they had left. It said that they had a cancellation and could see me at 10 AM. It said nothing about the DR having to leave early, which would not have helped me in the slightest. I called the St Aug location and got a supervisor who tried to soothe me with a lie (my impression). Apparently the Dr had a surgery that she needed to get back for. Mind you the message said nothing about needing to shift or cancel the appointment, but rather that they had cancellation and could see me earlier. My other issue is that they should have known the operating room was available before that morning. Is the medical industry so bad they throw surgeries together at the last minute? How do people fast if they are told that morning they are having surgery? With that said, is it fair or compassionate to their customer to cancel an appointment at the last minute? I give this group 0 stars. Bad customer service. Last part of the story is that I was in such discomfort that I called Borland Grover. Although they were busy, they had a cancellation for that afternoon quite far away. I had to go back to work and let them know I had to leave early to drive an extra 60 plus minutes round trip to be seen by a doctor. All of that said stay away from GI Associates.

She had a phone conference follow up on 4/29 and spoke with his PA, Kelli. Kelli was supposed to send in an antibiotic and my mother asked for something for the terrible cramping related to her cancer. 5 minutes after getting off the phone, she received a portal notification to pay $147 immediately as she was sent to collections!! No explanation, no call from the billing department to explain what the charge was for. She has medicare a/b and a secondary, so unclear why the bill. Needless to say, I have reached out on her behalf without resolution and neither I nor my mom have been unable to speak to a live person about this. NO PRESCRIPTION was sent in as of today!! Not the care you expect from a supposed top ranked office for your mother that has cancer.

Dr…read more Riner took me as a patient with Crohn's Disease and GAVE...Not only was he extremely comforting and reassuring me that we can get on top of both diseases and get it under control. I was very concerned as I did not know about GAVE (Watermelon Stomach) and what causes it and what can be done. Dr. Riner took me as a patient and felt that with both diseases affecting my stomach and colon I should further see a specialist and has been very proactive on getting me to a clinic in Orlando. His staff is very friendly, his PA is very educated and patient friendly, and he is very comforting. Thanks for not letting me down Dr. Riner and keeping me confident in my health.

Now I will not say that is a bad thing. This well-oiled machine operates successfully by the skilled and highly experienced medical professionals and staff who run the front office area. Though the lobby is large, it was still a pretty crowded house. I had to take my dearest for a medical procedure here with Dr. Ibach and I found the care overall as highly impressive. I appreciate very much that Dr. Ibach visited the patient (which I did get to be part of) after her procedure, even though she was still pretty dazed as the anesthesia hadn't worn off yet. That was ok. No one forgets good quality Dr. to patient care. Dr. Ibach is a first class experienced professional who I would recommend to anyone anytime. As I watched things move along here, I did notice on the monitor that the names on it moved on and off pretty quickly overall. To its credit, this Borland Groover clinic has created a fine-tuned machine in moving patients along through this medical treatment center. With that, I will add it's good to see their human side too. They do treat the patients in a very caring manner. It is a clinic I would recommend to others. Recommend: HIGH

At this appt, Dr Etzkorn reviewed results of pancreas endoscopy. We had reviewed this 2 months ago…read more For the MRI results he reviewed gallbladder but not liver. He did not review barium swallow results for problems with my throat & voice. (3 appts ago he had abruptly told me to see an ENT! This is acid reflux related!) For constipation he suggested prune juice (for lifelong chronic constipation) Told him I had tried Linzess for 30 days with no effect. He voice recorded that he would try a different drug if prune juice didnt work, without bothering to ask what other drugs/methods I had tried. I emailed him to ask about results of the liver MRI. I received copies of 13 test results on my patient portal. Just as well. I can read test results as well as Etzkorn. I'll take these with me to my new GI doctor, not affiliated with BG.

There are only 3 doctors in the state who can treat her for what she has. Hence, Jacksonville is one of the medical facilities one is at and we were very pleased with the Mayo Clinic. The facility is top-notch, the campus is modern, clean, and the staff is terrific. Everyone we came in contact with were helpful and knowledgeable. The place is beautiful, art everywhere, places to sit and relax, history of the Mayo family and how it all came to be, photos, and information. This was all just in one part of it where we were, the ER and Davis Building. They also have quality places to eat and even a full Starbucks here. This is a state of the art hospital with world class physicians. Walking the corridors there an air of calm knowing you or your family member are being treated by the best.
