For over 3 decades Tan has been serving up great food. I have watched his kids grow up in his restaurant. He and his wife are the epitome of a mom and pop shop. There were times when tan would take our orders and run in the back and cook then serve us. Great food and reasonable prices. He does have a dish that is not on the menu. The beef stew pho! Ordered a banh mi with only paté It may as well have been a veggie banh mi because that pate was barely even anywhere ! Just tiny dabs here & there. This Saigon noodle house (not to be confused with the Saigon in Kailmuki or the one in Keolu...) is located right next to Adela's in Kaneohe. After trying some of the desserts from Adela's the last time we came, I decided to get some desserts from Saigon while I was waiting for my food instead. Saigon is take out only which is a little unfortunate because they have so much space. It looks like the have been using the extra space for storage since covid. They make different flavors of tapioca like sweet potato, taro and banana. They also have flan. The tapioca is ok, but the flan is really good. It's smooth and sweet. And perfectly cold right out of the fridge. I also got an order of summer rolls as an appetizer. I wouldn't get those again. I'd come back to try the pho or other entrees. It sounds like their sandwiches are popular too. The guy working the cash register was nice but kind of slow and disorganized. It was just him and an older lady working. read more

The food is consistently delicious and the owners are very friendly and work hard. Parking is convenient. The only downside is they no longer offer dine-in since Covid. 3.5 Came here for lunch on a Wednesday, we planned to come to this area for either saigon or adelas but we were planning to go to saigon anyways. It was empty, they dont have indoor seating either. We ordered the spring rolls with bbq pork vermicelli and also spring rolls with teriyaki chicken vermicelli. Each were 15.50 + tax. It came out in like 10 ish minutes we could see them cooking it. We also got the taro tapioca for 2.95. The food looked good, my family liked the egg rolls. I didnt eat it fresh tho like right away lol so it wasnt... good. I really wanted to like it but there wasnt much sauce? Or the sauce didnt have much flavor? I wish they had more of the pickles carrots and whit radish. The meat wasnt that great but it was fine. We all really liked the tapioca stuff because it was cold and had a good amount of taro and was pretty sweet but not super sweet so it was good. We went to Adela's but there was an hour wait so we decided to check this place out and I'm so glad we did. 10/10 Service 10/10 food The garlic shrimp is SO good. Curry is okay, I have had better but it's still great. I even loved the egg roll and I'm not really an egg roll person. The guy running the register today (I think he's the owner) is very nice and he's even the one to cook the food. They do only do takeout but that wasn't an issue for us. BBQ pork Bánh Mì + jalapeño = Super fast service, awesome staff, and supah delicious grinds. Parking(like everywhere else) is a little cramped so mentally prepare, but soooo worth it. They close 730pm, but they took my take order I called like 740pm and the guy was nice to take my order and asked if I be there 10 mins to pick up order and it was ready when I was there. This is my favorite pho restaurant, has been for over a decade now. The owners are sweethearts and always ask about the kids and how they're doing. Their broth is rich and doesn't need much sauce added because it is flavorful! Our usuals are the combo pho/beef pho, THEIR SPRING ROLLS (we get 2-3 orders), spicy shrimp, seafood noodles and bbq pork. They also have a great dessert selection (which all taste as good as their food). Highly recommend! read more

Good people i love the owners very nice people but sometimes I get served old chicken or old vegetables. A few times I ordered the Summer Roll and the shrimp was old foul smell. Classic mom and pop Vietnamese place! We've been coming here forever and the owners are awesome! They remember my usual order and are always extremely friendly! Great pho and vermicelli dishes and the bahn mi are great too! Only issue is the Vietnamese style coffee is always really strong with very little condensed milk. Our favorite Go-To place for takeout especially as a last-minute decision! Our favorite goto order is the vermicelli combo w/ kalbi & either bbq chx or spicy pork. Our daughter typically gets the tofu pho. And at the risk of TMI, they will sell the pho BROTH if you're restricted to a Clear Liquid Diet before a particular medical procedure....The broth partly makes up for the misery of not being able to eat. I want to honestly say that i'm shocked with how great the reviews of this place is. Maybe it's just a hit or miss with quality/quantity? Not sure. Anyways, decided to try this place out for the first time because i heard such great things. I have to give credit to the husband and wife that were running the show by themselves , the restaurant is only open for takeout and no dine in so that was my first red flag, i personally do not like taking pho as takeout . I quickly changed my mind to the combo #17 and I believe #4? So my gripe is the fact that bother plates i ordered looked so delicious but had absolutely no flavor even with all the garlic chili oil on it. Just surprisingly bland and boring. The shrimp was cooked well done in the combo there was more curry than shrimp literally only four pieces were in this combo for $16 i tripped out. The only thing that was enjoyable were the egg rolls, lots of flavor and good portioning with filling. It's super unfortunate when you can feel and see a business that's suffering due to costs . When the wait for Adela's was over an hour and we didn't have time to wait that long we picked up a quick lunch here. I wanted to hate it but it turned out to be really good! Spring rolls were delicious and made to order. Kids said it was the best egg roll they ever had & they've eaten a lot! The lemongrass chicken and garlic shrimp were fantastic!
