Crispy eggrolls!
Gerald P.

Had to do another review ! This Vietnamese Restaurant run by a very nice hard working husband & wife team., do a very good job making their delicious Bahn mi sandwiches & tasty , crusty egg rolls. Our favorites! Their plate lunches look wonderful! No eating in , take out only! Give them a visit!

Pad Thai
Reyna A.

Ordered a banh mi with only paté It may as well have been a veggie banh mi because that pate was barely even anywhere ! Just tiny dabs here & there. Plus the shrimp in the pad thai was definitely tough, old & foul smelling ! Yuck ! The Balé that used to be in the Waipahu Don Quijote made it besr ! I miss them.

A few spots in Kaneohe for Vietnamese food but this is one of my local restaurants. Friendly family run business with your typical Vietnamese service. A few spots to eat inside but majority of ppl take out. Easy parking outside and often times busy because of Adela's Country Eatery next door. Consistent food from garlic shrimp, lemongrass chicken, egg rolls, pho, etc. Always happy to support small local businesses in Kaneohe

Tofu veggie sandwich bánh mí

Food is always delish! Today got a Tofu Sandwich Bánh mì and took a photo to show the size of this thing! Marinated Tofu & fresh cilantro & veggie sandwich for vegans/ veggie lovers, so flavorful. Desserts are also delightful. Friendly & fast service.

Taro tapioca

3.5 Came here for lunch on a Wednesday, we planned to come to this area for either saigon or adelas but we were planning to go to saigon anyways. It was empty, they dont have indoor seating either. We ordered the spring rolls with bbq pork vermicelli and also spring rolls with teriyaki chicken vermicelli. Each were 15.50 + tax. It came out in like 10 ish minutes we could see them cooking it. We also got the taro tapioca for 2.95. The food looked good, my family liked the egg rolls. I didnt eat it fresh tho like right away lol so it wasnt... good. I really wanted to like it but there wasnt much sauce? Or the sauce didnt have much flavor? I wish they had more of the pickles carrots and whit radish. The meat wasnt that great but it was fine. We all really liked the tapioca stuff because it was cold and had a good amount of taro and was pretty sweet but not super sweet so it was good. The couple that runs it is really nice tho, they are very friendly. I hope more people support them but its hard because they are next to a really popular place.

Garlic shrimp & curry chicken

We went to Adela's but there was an hour wait so we decided to check this place out and I'm so glad we did. 10/10 Service 10/10 food The garlic shrimp is SO good. Curry is okay, I have had better but it's still great. I even loved the egg roll and I'm not really an egg roll person. The guy running the register today (I think he's the owner) is very nice and he's even the one to cook the food. They do only do takeout but that wasn't an issue for us. We will 100% be back here.

Special sandwich

The pho rare beef and house special pho was ono!! Also the special sandwich too! They close 730pm, but they took my take order I called like 740pm and the guy was nice to take my order and asked if I be there 10 mins to pick up order and it was ready when I was there. Awesome service and thankful they let me order even though past 730pm.

This was probably my favorite meal during my whole trip. I'm writing this review late, and can tell…read moreyou that even though it's been a year, I still think about the food we got from here, more than I'd like to admit. Adela's is a small, take-out order only place, but extremely busy. We phoned in the order ahead of time and the wait time was about 45 mins. We got the Sweet Potato Noodles with Garlic Butter and Lechon. Gracious, it was delicious. Worth every penny. The lechon was crispy, tender, and flavorful. The noodles had the perfect texture and paired flawlessly with the garlic butter. We also got Okinawan Sweet Potato Poi Bread, but this unfortunately was blown out of the water by the noodles. I would not order the bread again, but would instead order 2 plates of food for myself, diets be damned. Easiest 5/5 of my life.

Knowing this place from my friend and she insisted that I should definitely give it a try…read more Fortunately she suggested me to call and pre-order to avoid long wait. They indeed seemed to be very popular as I could see how busy the place was when we picked up ours. It's also a to-go concept only so we enjoyed our pasta at the bench right next to the venue. The pasta was organic and all homemade from peculiar natural ingredients including moringa, taro, sweet potato, bread fruit, avocado, and local saimin. The one serving us was so nice and attentive, which indeed seemed to be needed here given how rich selections they offered. You got the option to pick your own choice of pasta, sauce, and protein or went for their combo. We opted for the latter as we got their Lechon Malunggay Pasta, which was Moringa pasta with roasted pork belly. Portion was HUGEEE and certainly shareable unless your appetite was so big. Meat to pasta ratio was also super general. The pork was cooked to perfection with flawlessly crispy skin yet juicy meat. The pasta came in just the right texture and was already flavorful on its own. You could pick spiciness level for which we took mild and we thought we should've gone for spicy. We also got Ube cheesecake for dessert that was also gigantic LOL. We finished it finally after multiple servings and it was still so good despite kept in fridge overnight. Dense yet not overwhelming and the ube flavor was so strong and I could tell it used real ube. This place was seriously MUST GO!

So of course, I was in the area and I am a biiiig ramen lover, I had to try this location. I've tried an abundant of ramen from Noods, but my go-to is their vegan ramens because they have so many options and I could use a little vegan meal in my life every now and then (because of my acne). The ambiance may not be a restaurant, but it's ramen, you can't be asking for much, just good food and good place to enjoy. Since this location is in a food court, it's gotta have fast service, which it did. Service is also a lot more simple than the restaurant because over here you order in one area and then you have to pick it up at the other end when it's ready. The food court provides ample seating, but I suggest grabbing a seat first before ordering so that you get a table near the ramen bar and you don't have to walk far with a large bowl of ramen across a busy food court. Overall, the ramen(s) I've eaten here have lived up to the standard I expect from Noods, which is great. This means you don't have to go all the way to Kaimuki to get some good, quality ramen.

They have been at their Kamehameha Highway location for 43 years...must be doing something right. Decor looks straight from the 80's too...dated but nice..."Back to the Future." We did have a pre-order issue, though. Since I arrived early to make sure everything was set, it was an easy recovery but still disappointing. One pre-order dish was egg fu yong. While the server was reviewing the order with me, she said they didn't have it that day. I told her I wasn't notified when I pre-ordered like I was told "no steamed fish" but I just increased the quantities for the other items and it was seamless for the rest of the guests. She did say but I ordered early enough to get my Peking duck. (If we didn't get that I would have them been pretty annoyed.) Food: Not quite as good as last Christmas but still good. Minute chicken cake noodle - chicken was a bit dry and a little tough. Noodles, gravy, Choi sum was good. Soft gau gee mein (family loves our noodles) was better - very tasty, but the gravy was overflowing and spilling all over. Peking duck - half duck, with buns. Came with the customary plum (hoisin) sauce but no green onions/scallions. Not the same without it but was good. Duck skin was crispy, duck meat wasn't dry. Shrimp chips were stale, though. Walnut shrimp was good. Shrimp was slightly overcooked but not enough to matter. Beef broccoli was very good, but not sure they gave us two orders, seemed small compared to the other dishes which we had upped from 1-1/2 to 2. Overall, it's challenging to get good Chinese food now days so we were all satisfied with the food, good service, and the ease of having the dishes come out timely. Hopefully the next time the food will have gone back up in quality and I can give 4 stars.

Golden Pho is a treasure. This owner-operated restaurant makes you want to come back for more…read more That's not great for me since I'm a townie and Golden Pho is located in Kaneohe. But if I'm on the Windward side, this is my go-to, all the time. They have one of the most extensive menus I've seen in a Vietnamese joint--everything from bahn mi, to udon noodles, to curries, to pho, to noodle soups, to appetizers, to à la carte entrees, to desserts. There is something for everyone and it gives me reason to keep coming back to try different dishes. So far, I had the shrimp udon (but slurped that up so quickly I didn't get a picture), papaya salad, lemongrass tofu vermicelli, and shrimp summer rolls. Hubby enjoyed the Pho, MIL adores the pork udon. Came here on a date, with the MIL, and with friends. Received great service each time and devoured all our dishes with delight. Not one thing to complain about. Also love their variety of sauces available on the table--don't even have to ask! The coffee was delicious too. I had it black and it was rich and smooth, no bitterness at all. And I split the fried banana dessert with friends (avoided the ice cream)...which I should mention I'm pescatarian and I avoid dairy. Love a place where I can enjoy my meal along with the company of my meat-eating, dairy-drinking loved ones. Again, something for everyone. Parking is on the side of the building. They have indoor and outdoor seating. Restrooms are very clean. Worth the drive to the 96744 zip code. Will definitely be back soon!

Theres only such a handful of super good food on this side and I'm definitely adding it to my list. The food is simple no frills but it tastes like a nice homemade meal with love. I really appreciate that they don't load half of the vermicelli dish with veggies. Instead, they gave us the veggies on the side. Service: Friendly Mom and Pops ran establishment. The owners actually have several other locations in town called "Pho Viet" but each is equally as tasty in my opinion. Overall 4/5 because I've tasted the best of the best and this is close!
