For over 3 decades Tan has been serving up great food. I have watched his kids grow up in his restaurant. He and his wife are the epitome of a mom and pop shop. There were times when tan would take our orders and run in the back and cook then serve us. Great food and reasonable prices. He does have a dish that is not on the menu. The beef stew pho! This is a local Kaneohe staple. I believe they have a loyal following given all the photos of famous patrons on their wall. I just think there's better spots these days. The broth is flavorful, but a bit cloudy. In the past, I would've criticized myself for saying that since the cloudy broth comes from the rendered fat. However, there are new spots that have just as much flavor, but has a cleaner taste. So if you like old school beef broth, this is your spot. And all pho orders seem to come with one type of broth. I ordered a veggie pho on someone's behalf and they mentioned the broth tasted like a beef broth. So proceed with caution. Parking can get tricky here since it's next to Adela's and that place is always packed. read more

Although they are normally super busy I promise the food is worth the wait. I recommend calling in your order ahead. The aunty that helped us was very nice. I believe the day we went they were very busy but only had 2 people working, however she took care of everyone while being friendly, efficient and doing it with a smile. I'm not sure if the one in enchanted lakes is a sister location or completely separate but like the other location their garlic shrimp, kalbi and flan are delicious!!! This Saigon noodle house (not to be confused with the Saigon in Kailmuki or the one in Keolu...) is located right next to Adela's in Kaneohe. After trying some of the desserts from Adela's the last time we came, I decided to get some desserts from Saigon while I was waiting for my food instead. Saigon is take out only which is a little unfortunate because they have so much space. It looks like the have been using the extra space for storage since covid. They make different flavors of tapioca like sweet potato, taro and banana. They also have flan. The tapioca is ok, but the flan is really good. It's smooth and sweet. And perfectly cold right out of the fridge. I also got an order of summer rolls as an appetizer. I wouldn't get those again. I'd come back to try the pho or other entrees. The food is consistently delicious and the owners are very friendly and work hard. Parking is convenient. The only downside is they no longer offer dine-in since Covid. I wish they would bring back that as an option. But having said that, it's still one of my favorite places for bun (vermicelli) with imperial rolls and their rice plates. read more

3.5 Came here for lunch on a Wednesday, we planned to come to this area for either saigon or adelas but we were planning to go to saigon anyways. It was empty, they dont have indoor seating either. We ordered the spring rolls with bbq pork vermicelli and also spring rolls with teriyaki chicken vermicelli. Each were 15.50 + tax. It came out in like 10 ish minutes we could see them cooking it. We also got the taro tapioca for 2.95. The food looked good, my family liked the egg rolls. I didnt eat it fresh tho like right away lol so it wasnt... good. I really wanted to like it but there wasnt much sauce? Or the sauce didnt have much flavor? I wish they had more of the pickles carrots and whit radish. The meat wasnt that great but it was fine. We all really liked the tapioca stuff because it was cold and had a good amount of taro and was pretty sweet but not super sweet so it was good. We went to Adela's but there was an hour wait so we decided to check this place out and I'm so glad we did. 10/10 Service 10/10 food The garlic shrimp is SO good. Curry is okay, I have had better but it's still great. I even loved the egg roll and I'm not really an egg roll person. The guy running the register today (I think he's the owner) is very nice and he's even the one to cook the food. They do only do takeout but that wasn't an issue for us. This is my favorite pho restaurant, has been for over a decade now. The owners are sweethearts and always ask about the kids and how they're doing. Their broth is rich and doesn't need much sauce added because it is flavorful! Our usuals are the combo pho/beef pho, THEIR SPRING ROLLS (we get 2-3 orders), spicy shrimp, seafood noodles and bbq pork. Classic mom and pop Vietnamese place! We've been coming here forever and the owners are awesome! They remember my usual order and are always extremely friendly! Great pho and vermicelli dishes and the bahn mi are great too! Only issue is the Vietnamese style coffee is always really strong with very little condensed milk. Beware Take out only! We live on the leeward side and it was a hot day so we took our food to windward mall. Service was fairly quick. Our daughter typically gets the tofu pho. And at the risk of TMI, they will sell the pho BROTH if you're restricted to a Clear Liquid Diet before a particular medical procedure....The broth partly makes up for the misery of not being able to eat. I want to honestly say that i'm shocked with how great the reviews of this place is. Maybe it's just a hit or miss with quality/quantity? Not sure. Anyways, decided to try this place out for the first time because i heard such great things. I have to give credit to the husband and wife that were running the show by themselves , the restaurant is only open for takeout and no dine in so that was my first red flag, i personally do not like taking pho as takeout . I quickly changed my mind to the combo #17 and I believe #4? So my gripe is the fact that bother plates i ordered looked so delicious but had absolutely no flavor even with all the garlic chili oil on it. Just surprisingly bland and boring. The shrimp was cooked well done in the combo there was more curry than shrimp literally only four pieces were in this combo for $16 i tripped out. The only thing that was enjoyable were the egg rolls, lots of flavor and good portioning with filling. It's super unfortunate when you can feel and see a business that's suffering due to costs .
