My coworkers and I go here quite often for lunchtime and even after work for dinner. Our server is always so kind, polite, patient, and helpful. She's the only one taking orders and serving so please but patient and understand when they're busy. It's a nice little restaurant located inside the Kaneohe shopping center, with plenty of free parking and shops to check out. Took dad for his first Vietnamese dinner. He's 92 so better late than never and he really enjoyed his oxtail phô and I had the regular beef I always have. Their rice noodle plates amd vermicelli plates are also good, as well as the salads. It's been around forever in Kaneohe, so a good place for soups during the winter months. read more

I want to start by saying that our waiters were very friendly and welcoming. However, despite there being only one other party in the restaurant, we ended up waiting quite a while--around 45 minutes--for our main dishes. It was a bit frustrating to see a takeout customer who came in after us place an order and receive their food well before we did. The portion sizes were noticeably smaller than those at most pho spots on the island. The spring rolls cost $10, but only came with two rolls containing minimal lettuce and toppings. The $10 wontons were about the size of a quarter, with just six pieces in total. A large pho was priced at around $19, which was a standard bowl size, but it was light on meat--my bowl had about seven thin slices of brisket, each roughly finger-sized. While the food tasted good, I feel you could get better value for your money elsewhere. read more

We visited here last month on a weekday night for an early dinner, Sorry I didn't take a picture of our food here but I don't think I'll be back. Food was ok, service was pretty slow considering that it wasn't very busy. It was also pretty expensive and they didn't give much meat. My friend who brought me here ordered a three choice pho, two orders of meatballs but only got two more than I did. At the end of our meal my friend had to go to the bathroom which is located behind the restaurant and she noticed food being cooled in a pan that was directly on the floor. The service and employees are very good except it took about 30 mins to get our pho. It's understandable during this time when restaurants might be short-staffed. Food: I ordered the summer rolls (2 pcs) thinking it's the pork one but it's actually the shrimp spring rolls. The other one is called "BBQ pork rolls". I'm glad I tried the shrimp summer rolls, it's one of the best shrimp rolls I've had. This is better than all the ones I've tried in Cali. The shrimp was fresh and huge. The oxtail pho broth was really good and not greasy at all. The oxtail was good but it could've been cooked a bit longer. The meat wasn't as soft , and you have to pull off the oxtail meat from the bone. Overall, the flavor and noodles are pretty good. We also got the rare round eye + brisket medium pho. Broth wasn't greasy at all, good amount of meat. For their normal pho, you can pick up to 3 meat for 1 price or all the meat combination for another price. The food took a bit long, about 15 minutes today. Perhaps they weren't ready since they had just opened. Now for the food. My husband enjoyed his pho. He said the broth was good and had no complaints. The bbq pork vermicelli was just OK. The meat was tough and the noodles were more like spaghetti versus vermicelli. The plate looked sparse, I wish This is one of my favorite dishes elsewhere and I was so hoping it would be a 5 star dish. The service was great. This place is a staple of ours. It's in a small strip mall across Kamehameha Highway from Windward Mall in Kaneohe. I first discovered it years ago when I was waiting for a print job at what used to be Kinko's FedEx and was hungry and a little under the weather. There are maybe 9 or 10 tables in the whole place, and they do both takeout and sit down. I have never been unable to get a seat there, but they do have a steady flow of customers coming and going. The place is clean and well-lot with pictures of artwork and some of their dishes on the walls. This place is family run, and the service is really friendly every time. Hao used to always serve us and was the first I met that day. She helped me choose the lemongrass chicken vermicelli, which was delicious. Most times we go now, Hao works on the back and some of her younger relatives serve in front, but all are great servers and so friendly. Our usual dishes are the spring rolls, chicken curry, and an eggplant tofu clay pot fish dish. Everything is so Ono, hot, fresh, and feels healthy, and I haven't had quite the same flavors elsewhere! I usually ask for hot tea too. These days, those dishes come out to around $50 altogether. I always forget to take pictures of the dishes before we chow down, but I took a few detail shots! Came here with a friend a few weeks ago who desired Vietnamese cuisine that evening. Conveniently located in the Kaneohe Safeway shopping center, with ample parking. The restaurant has a nice local ambiance and most of the diners we encountered were locals. Service was extremely prompt and very attentive. Our glasses were constantly kept filled and plates removed as needed to free up table space. The food was quite delicious and while you can find better restaurants on island, this place was very nice and fit perfectly for those occasions when we don't feel like driving in traffic to downtown Vietnamese establishments. I would like to think I'm a simple person. Called in to order a pho and spring roll - an incredibly simplistic order. My husband picked up my order for me as I had a hard and rough day at work. You know those days at work where you're just drained. Anyways my husband drives 30 mins to go into Kaneohe town to grab me this to-go and when he arrived home I was incredibly and instantly irritated. Partly because again, it's been a long a** day. My whole order is wrong - my whole SIMPLE order. My combination pho is a vegetarian pho *barf* and my fried spring rolls are mystery meat summer rolls. After calling to get this resolved the man over the phone took my number and gave me no resolution. Wasn't too upset but was a little taken back because there were all of two tables with patrons and not a lot of orders waiting to be picked up (approximately 2). Came back at 10 minutes only to find out they were not done and couldn't give me an exact time of completion (after I asked). All in all, took about 30 more minutes. I would've just walked out but a lot of surrounding Vietnamese restaurants would've given me the same timeframe. So basically, took way too long for substandard food. read more

I would say this is the best pho on the windward side. The owner is sweet and nice, and when I ordered to go it was ready quickly. Also they put the bean sprouts, basil separately in a bag, plus separate containers for your soup and noodles (without requesting!) I base good pho on their soup, this soup is tasty! I could drink it without any addition sauces, and when I do add any, I only put a little bit. When ordering your pho, you get to choose from 3 types of meat and either medium or large size. The medium is only 9.95 and I believe large is only 2 more dollars extra. Some places don't give enough meat in their pho, this place gives a decent amount, not too little but not a lot either, it's just enough though.There's also vegetarian pho for those who don't eat meat. I would say there are better pho places but if you're on the windward side this one is the best place, in my opinion. read more
