Clean the tank... poor fish... ;-(
    Neal D.

I have visited this place several times and have found the quality of the food has continually degraded. It's a shame as the bo and pho was generally really good but the food was just not very good this last visit. It seems like the cook/recipes have changed as well as their selection of ingredients. Poorer quality and preparation have been the recent experiences. Also, their fish tank is cloudy with unhealthy fish. It's reflective of the care they are putting into their business. Furthermore, it's not right to keep fish in such a poor environment, ugh...

The spring rolls and shrimp were fresh. Pho and pork dishes were ok. There was no flavor. The produce was all good, just resulted in bland dishes

Theis pho place is a small restaurant most likely for the vietnamese customer. I order a pho and asked if i could have it with tendon and tripe only. The did not comply. The said it was asi they had it. So customer is not always right. So i purchased what tbe wanted to sell me. Lucky me the pho was decent. A little salty but good. I enjoyed my soup. Price is a little higher than the rest of the country. Upper teens in dollars where in most places around the usa are aroung 7 dollars

I live in Houston and every time I come to Lubbock, my trip isn't complete unless I save some time for Saigon. It's been consistently delicious for the last decade I've eaten here. Firm, yet soft, perfect noodles. Perfect pork with not a lot of gross fat and fresh veggies and crisp spring rolls. I don't have a single complaint.

The food isn't terrible but it's not worth the money. Being that I payed for a service it should taste way better. I had the beef and it tasted spoiled. My friend had the rice and it was unflavored. I asked if they could do something about it and they refused. No partial refund, no recooking, no replacing. Other than that the staff was nice.

It's crazy to say but this place has amazing pho! I'm from Houston and I've had my fair share of pho and this is by far the BEST. The staff is really really nice and the place is fairly clean. They could use some music but overall the food is great!

C-11. The tiny spring rolls and not enough veggies underneath

This place doesn't sell the traditional banh mi sandwiches. When I got here, the menu was on the wall. I ordered the fresh spring rolls (which were on the small side) and the C-11 which is fried spring rolls over vermicelli & veggies. Those spring rolls were tiny as well. When I ordered the girl asked me how spicy I wanted my C-11.... I paused and looked at her kind of crazy. In all my life eating at Vietnamese restaurants I've NEVER been asked how spicy I wanted a spring roll. But it was the sauce that came on the side. My fresh spring rolls barely had any shrimp, and the shrimp were tiny. My fried spring rolls on too of my bun (rice vermicelli noodles) looked anorexic. I get that this is west Texas, but lacking authenticity doesn't also have to lack quantity.

The space itself is adorable--think industrial loft vibes with exposed brick, warm wood accents, and that cozy, slightly artsy feel you get from an old brick building repurposed just right. It's the kind of place that feels calm and intimate, especially tucked into a quieter downtown pocket that gives off small-city charm in the best way. I ordered a loose-leaf green tea (I won't even attempt to pronounce the name), brewed French-press style, and it was so good--earthy, smooth, and surprisingly reminiscent of crispy rice mixed with green tea. Warm, comforting, and thoughtfully prepared. My husband went with an Americano, which was solid and well-balanced. They do offer food and small bites, but what really stood out was how community-forward the space feels. There's local artwork displayed throughout the café, all available for purchase, along with curated retail items like tallow products, cool tees, and other thoughtful little finds you don't usually see in a coffee shop. Between the cozy industrial atmosphere, quality drinks, and strong support of local artists and makers, Nashville Cafe feels less like a quick coffee stop and more like a place you actually want to linger. A really sweet spot downtown--quiet, creative, and full of character.
