AVOID AVOID AVOID My RX was moved here because the Rite Aid in the same strip mall closed. This pharmacy is a total incompetent disaster. 1. I asked for ALL (six total) my prescriptions to be delivered to me by mail. Yet, there is always one or two that they will put on the rack expecting me to pick it up. So about every other month or so, I always have to pick up an RX that was supposed to be mailed. Their reason, "someone missed it". 2. They always, always forget something when they do mail it. Their reason, "I should follow up because their system is not 100%". 3. Even though I am set up for auto refill, they do not refill some RX unless I call. Their reason, see #2. 4. Because of 1-3, I always have to call. Expect to be on hold, then after 5-10 minutes, be forgotten and have to call again. Even though this is the close pharmacy to me, I transferred my RX to other Rite Aid in Union City. I am under the impression that their incompetence is a ruse to get customers to physically go in the store hoping I would do some shopping while there. I have been needlessly going to the pharmacy almost every month because they can never get things right. read more

Wrote to Safeway Store via their web site to inform them about the issue I had with the local Safeway Pharmacy. They contacted the local Safeway Pharmacy and I got a phone call from the Pharmacy manger to come in and they will honor the coupon for a $25 Gift card. I am writing this review to tell you how apathetic this pharmacy is, especially the pharmacist that was working Saturday 17th December. I am on medication that I need to take daily. Even missing a dose is extremely bad for me. My script was sent over on Tuesday. I went in Friday morning to pick up. It was not ready. Went back Saturday to find out they don't have it. ( was told it's on back order) So common courtesy they should have called me so I could contact my doctor to find an alternative solution, but no. They didn't care. I know this review isn't really gonna do anything but I have to rant. The pharmacist named Joanna Chow is the worst. She has the worst attitude towards customer. I came in on 4/20/18 to get my medication that my doc sent over, I asked her if she got them or if the pharmacy needed anything from me at all since I'm transferring all my previous meds from lucky's to here. She answered me with full of attitude. I brushed it off thinking you know everyone has their bad days, whatever. But then I had some questions about my insurance and she started mocking me and answering me with her nasty attitude. I kept my cool even though I was boiling on the inside. I hope she finds peace and happiness in her life because she sure looked miserable and spreading her negativity to bring other people down isn't really helping much. read more

Ok so this is our normal go to grocery store (now that Fresh and Easy has been closed.) And normally we have no problems. It's nothing special but nothing horrid. Just close. Today was an exception. We got 2 bone in ribeye steaks from the meat counter - with blue mold all over them. Total disappointment for the 4th. But we did take them back and got refunded. Just wish they wouldn't try and sell moldy meat in the first place. read more

DON'T USE SAFEWAY PHARMACY! Horrible service and does not keep the same policy as other Safeway. I received a coupon for a $25 gift card on my "just for you" Safeway app...if I transferred a new prescription from a different pharmacy over. Rosario and the pharmacist that worked at this pharmacy refused to give me my gift card because she said I am already a patient. What is the point of me transferring a new prescription if I'm not going to get anything out of it? This policy was not told to me by from a different Safeway Pharmacy location. I was told as long as it's a new prescription, I can get the $25 gift card, and if I refill the same one, I will get a stamp. The keywords are "new" and "refill". They said it's one patient per year....why do I keep getting the coupon then? It doesn't say one per year on the coupon! I asked to see the fine print and they could not provide. As they were helping me, they both walked away without telling me where they were going, and talked to me from behind a wall. Completely rude! Also, if it wasn't for me telling them I was a returning patient, they would not have even checked! Rosario was proceeding to give me my $25 gift card! Soooo what's the point? Why didn't she just give it to me if she wasn't going to check anyway? Doesn't make any sense and a complete waste of time! It's not so much about the $25 gift card, it was b/c I was told something different and the coupon did not say one per year and they couldn't show me the policy in writing! Safeway pharmacy needs to re-train their people to follow the same procedures at each location. This was horrible service and I would never use Safeway pharmacy again. The wait is long to get your prescription. If you buy an over the counter prescription and then need to change it they won't let you. I'm so frustrated because the medicine was $17 and it's $7 on the shelf (no prescription needed). Bad customer service to not tell you you can get it without a prescription for less. read more

Have been coming to this store for years. The pharmacy staff: David, Minerva & Froisan are great people and are very helpful.

Very rude staff. First time I came I got there and I was literally waiting around for 2 minutes while they were chatting among themselves like I wasn't there. The second time I came there for a different prescription they said that my prescription looked fake. I felt like it was because I'm black. Because the whole time she never told me why the rx looked fake. I told her to verify as I had just left the Dr &My Dr was literally down the street the whole time. I told the clerk to call her and verify the rx & the clerk started getting an attitude. I hate them I'll go to rite aid next door next time. It's inconvenient but they're not rude. read more
