I was told I needed to come back in 10 minutes because the pharmacist needed a consultation on one of the medications. Each person in line was told the same thing. This is a lie; the truth is that the non-pharmacist staff cannot give out the medication when the pharmacist is not present. It would be nice if they would just be honest. There was no apology for the delay and the pharmacist break times are not listed apart from the lunch break. There usually are no greetings like "Hello" or "Have a nice day" or "Thanks for doing business with us". There is rarely a smile. I go to this pharmacy only because it is the only one left in my neighborhood.

RECOGNITION to Safeway Employees: V, Pharmacist…read moreRhonda, Customer Service Jolene, Checker Today, I called Safeway's Pharmacy, Miss V, the Pharmacist answered. I told her my hubby's meds were all stolen from our car, along with everything from our 2-week camping trip. V's voice immediately calmed me down while she worked with me by phone to fill my husbands meds (not tomorrow or the next day, but TODAY within a couple of hours). V's thoroughness has always been spot on with our medications. Thanks again for your kindness and help. Hey, it's time we thanked wonderful Rhonda in Customer Service, because she's worked diligently for 30+ years at Safeway. And, I gotta say, "On each and every occasion she's always put Safeway's customers first by assisting them 'when and where'd there's a need. An example of this is my 78 year old hubby gets confused at times. AND, it just makes my day when he comes home with stories about how Rhonda helped him. Thanks so much Rhonda! Hey, I may be a senior, but I'm an observant person, and I gotta say Safeway is so lucky to have Rhonda in their employment for all these years. Lastly, thank you, Jolene, for always making Safeway a great place to shop. You make the customers happy to be in your checkout line with your quick smile and speedy customer service. Your the best checker ever! BOTTOM LINE: "Extend kindness and appreciation back to those people who consistently assist you when you are shopping." "AND, always check to make sure your car is completely locked, so you don't lose important property (like we did)." Thanks to anyone who's reading my review about three wonderful people who brighten our day when we shop at Safeway. Bill & Loretta Sylvia Fremont, CA

He told me the herbalist only works certain days & hours & walk in's are welcomed. As I entered I was politely greeted & asked to take a seat to have both pulses assessed. The gentleman asked in Cantonese if I needed a translator bc the herbalist speaks Mandarin & what a relief to hear bc I don't speak Mandarin. After 10-15 minutes I was prescribed 4 packets of herbal medicine. I am a strong believer of Asian Herbal remedies so to have a reputable place like Yang Sheng Tang is comforting to know. What also impressed me was their non-pushy sales pitch to have you visit them again or to tell you to come back to get assessed again. The gentleman kindly commented that if I need anything else to visit his store again, but there was no obligation to do so & that shows me that he really cares about his customers.

The pharmacist took her time to answer and address all my questions and concerns. I really appreciated that. I received the compounded cream very quickly, and after a few uses, I could tell it's a high quality product. It works perfectly on my daughter's skin and doesn't cause any adverse reactions. I've experienced appointments being accidentally canceled, being placed on hold for 15+ minutes, dismissive attitudes, and staff giving inconsistent or inaccurate information. Most recently, I called to have a copy of my contact lens prescription emailed to me so I could purchase lenses while I was already at the store. I was told it would take 10-15 minutes, so I waited. After more than 20 minutes with no email, I called back. I was placed on hold again, and when someone finally answered, she asked for my date of birth. After I explained that I still hadn't received the email, she simply said they were busy and wouldn't be able to send it right away. I explained that I had already called earlier and was waiting at the store because I had been told it would only take 10-15 minutes. She then asked for my name, and after I gave it, she repeated my date of birth--but got the birth year wrong. It felt like she hadn't been listening and was just trying to dismiss my request. She eventually said she would send it "as soon as possible" because they were busy, but the rude attitude and lack of professionalism were disappointing. I understand that offices get busy, but clear communication, attention to detail, and respectful customer service should still be expected. I truly hope the front desk improves because the doctors are excellent, and it would be a shame for the overall patient experience to be affected by poor administrative service.
