It's a nice size Trader Joe's and wasn't too crowded on a Saturday afternoon. I immediately found the shelves with new items and picked up a bag of yellow curry potato chips I wanted to try. I also got a small bag of Colombian dark chocolate sticks with crispy rice. When I tried both items later they were delicious. The dark chocolate is rich without being too sweet and has a bit of a coffee flavor that I like. The chips are addicting and a little spicy, but not hot enough to stop a heat wimp like me. They had containers of fresh strawberries, which I can never get enough of, so I put one in my basket. Then I headed for the sweet treats. So many to choose from. I grabbed a package of Meyer Lemon Cookie Thins and a little bag of mini chocolate chip cookies. It turned out they both tasted great, especially the lemon cookies, which would be even more delectable dipped in lemon curd. I usually like to look at the frozen food and pre-made sections, but didn't want to buy anything cold today since I had errands to run afterward. I'll be back soon to take another look around.

Please consider removing these devices to comply with ADA accessibility. No need for attitudes, smirking, rude comments, looking at and laughing with other coworkers because someone is struggling with finding their code. Im done with seeing other customers especially the elderly and someone with a lot of returns be disrespected. And everytime its the same girls doing it. One older lady with dark hair, who wears a hat and red lipstick---another younger girl with long dark hair (Hispanic), an older lady with dark and Grey hair in a bun (Indian). The one with the hat actually raises her voice and talks down on people. Ive had to say something to her before about not being rude and she just wanted to argue with me. After me raising my voice back at her she finally stopped. The younger hispanic girl stares and smirks at people. Its unreal. The guys seem to be the nicest and easiest experience. I would encourage you to visit the self service station instead of dealing with them. I hope Amazon or Whole Foods reviews this and can help stop this nonsense. Amazon customers dont deserve this childish unprofessional behavior from a return/pickup desk. The job is simple and can be a good experience like it is with the guys. Apparently some cant do that and should be removed.

Will admit, it is a bit smaller than some of the others, but they pack in a good crowd. It is very clean ALTHOUGH, they have signs that say "no dogs allowed", but people bring their dogs anyway. I have grandpups and would love to bring them - but I follow the rules. I think it is rude to ignore the rules especially when it comes to food safety. Would I go back - Yes, cuz I love it... but if the pet thing starts to get out of hand.... I may have to switch to a different one.

I started looking around for other options and found out that Lunardi's bakery actually sells burnt almond cake and that people say it's pretty good. So I asked my husband to go pick one up for us. The 8" cake was only $24.99, which honestly felt very affordable compared to a lot of bakery cakes these days. From the very first bite, I was so happy we decided to try it. The custard filling in the middle was so good and the cake itself was soft, moist, and full of flavor. They were very generous with the almonds all around the cake too, which gave it that perfect burnt almond cake texture and taste I was craving. The bakery also mentioned that they usually have them available, which is dangerous information for me now. Lol. Definitely will be back whenever I need to fulfill my burnt almond cake cravings again!

I was concerned about delivery because I live in a locked apartment building and didn't know how that would work, but decided to give it a try. Turns out it was fine. I got text messages from Safeway with updates throughout the process and one from the delivery driver when he arrived. He brought my groceries right up to the locked door and I grabbed them from him, no problem. Safeway delivered every single thing I ordered and did a good job selecting produce. The delivery came fast, too. Although there is an extra charge for delivery, it was still a good value because it was offset by the discounts I received (the $30 discount might be for first time users only). I would definitely use this service again.
