This store is one of my favorites. The pharmacy folks are so awesome!! The keep me in line and alive with their quick service and safe advice on my meds. The overall staff are so warm, welcoming and helpful. I have been a happy customer since they opened and will continue to frequent them. Highly recommend then. read more

The pharmacy is always messing up my order. I'm supposed to get 3 months worth of my prescription but they only ever have 1 in stock and I have to keep coming back every month. They always promise me that "next time" they'll have it, but they never do. What a waste of my time. The pharmacy department forced me to download an app to get updates on when my prescription is meant to be refilled but I NEVER get notified. I have all possible notifications turned on. I occasionally get this terribly phone call from one of the pharmacy techs saying that I have less than a day or two to pick things up before they cancel my order. Everything is always last minute with this place. I've asked them what's the deal and they always just say that the system is "down". Well, your system has been "down" for years and counting. They used to have an old system that worked when they notified me with a text or a voice automated phone call, but since they "updated" it's been the worst. I'm going to stop coming here for my prescriptions. read more

Safeway Manager are you wondering why you're not selling more chicken even when it's on sale? Deli has chicken from hot case advertised at a lower price right on the window of the hot case! But the clerk, working 8/10 @ ~6pm, said he didn't have "the code" for the price. "They didn't tell us". Clerk lost a sale when a man didn't want to buy the chicken at a higher price, than the advertised price. A little advice to the young clerk, you're never going to get ahead in your working life with that "I don"t care" attitude. Show some enthusiasm for your job! read more

Average Safeway store but the deli cost a star. One clerk in particular is very inattentive. It takes her minutes to notice customers waiting and when she does she doesn't ask who's next, just walks up to one of us - 100% of the time the person who's been waiting the least. Seems like this should be easily addressed if management is paying attention but this is a long-time problem. What else aren't they noticing? read more

Brand new store (opened in November 2011). Excellent service, staff in the meat department is friendly and helpful. Store is well laid out. Their frozen food section is a little skimpy it seems compared to other stores, but it's still got most everything you need. Credit Union and Starbucks in store. This location is a replacement for the (probably) 1950's era Safeway (that looked like a bowling alley conversion) in downtown Bothell. Typical deli for a Safeway - lots of their store brand soups (most of which are quite good) and their China Express food (although they've changed the teriyaki chicken - it's not nearly as good as it used to be). *** Edit 3/4/2013 There is now a Safeway gas station at this location! read more

I go to this Safeway as it is the closest to me. Can't say I've encountered too many friendly staff members here while checking out. Even waited at the Starbucks kiosk while the girl working flat out ignored me. Two stars because I can shop and find what I need. This place definitely needs some customer service help. read more

Worst experience at a grocery store by far. I'm waiting in line for over 5 minutes. The couple in front of me was just putting their groceries on the belt. a cashier from another check stand says "i can help whosever next in line" which was me. so i walk over there and some hispanic lady with a full cart bolts in front of me and takes the spot he initially called me over for. So now i lost my spot in the pervious line and now had to wait behind this lady who had an entire cart full of groceries because the cashier didn't want to say anything. Even though HE called me over he did not say anything to the lady who rudely cut in front of me. By the time he started scanning my items, TWO PEOPLE THAT WERE BEHIND ME ALREADY CASHED OUT AND LEFT. The cashier did not apologize at all until I started voicing my situation. He gave me nothing to make my experience any better besides excuses. As I noticed how this clown of an employee wasn't going to do anything I requested to speak to a manager. He replied with "I am the manager". I told him I want to talk to someone else and he DID NOT give me the actual general manager of the store's name or number or ANYTHING!!!!! I had to call the customer service after I left just to get the general managers name and info because ELIJAH refused to give me any info about him. So thanks a lot ELIJAH. For making this the worst experience i've ever had at a grocery store. read more

I had never, ever been in this Safeway before, ever. I was filling in for another worker demoing wine or beer. I inquired in the liquor department about setting up..."she don't know nothing" so called a young store assistant to help. He came down the stairs and marched to the back room muttering about vendors...yada yada, yada. I trotted behind him not knowing what to do. NEVER BEEN HERE BEFORE! So to make a long story short he said he was sent to handle me because I have a bad attitude!! I replied I have been in the store less than ten minutes, never been here before. He started ranting stuff at me and I asked if he would like me to leave. He said yes...get out of my store!~ read more

Beautiful store, great selection,&friendly smiling employees. The problem is their 2 price system. There is the marked up price and the price 'with card'. Of coarse this forces everyone to have the stores loyalty cards/rewards cards. Most grocery stores(not all) have gone this route as they believe people think they are getting a 'deal' when they see a grand total reduced when the card is entered. In this particular store I had a shopping cart overflowing and proceeded to checkout. It took atleast 15 minutes to scan and bag all the items. Total came to $321.00 ...Then it came time to enter the said 'loyalty card' number. What happened next is unbelievable and has never happened... The entire transaction was voided!! The cashier was dumbfounded and sent me to customer service. After they finally got the manager they wanted to re-ring the entire cart.WTF? I'm already late and in a hurry.I handed the manager $300.00 cash and left,never to return. (Got screwed for about &50.00 I figure) I'll be shopping at Wal-mart or Publix(back east) where no smoke and mirrors pricing goes on.(no cards) BTW I was using my real telephone #, not 867-5309 read more

I love this location, which is why my experience at the deli is so disappointing... A few weeks back I bought the Crunchy Pea Salad to go with my dinner. I got it home and dished some up and took a bite. THEN I noticed that there were nuts in it. I looked at the ingredients to find it contains cashews, which are one of my biggest allergies. Crunch could have meant celery, watercress or any number of veggies. I mentioned this to the deli clerk when I was in there today and suggest that the name placard indicate that it contains nuts. She looked at me like I was speaking a foreign language and didn't even acknowledge my suggestion. As prominent as nut allergies are these days I would think that they would be a little bit more proactive... read more

This store one of newer ones but is full of young people talking to each other as opposed to customers.

Visiting the area I was shopping for a family get together. My husband had dropped me off to do some errands while I shopped and I was to call him when done. I got into the check line to find out I did not have my phone. I mentioned this to the checker Perry and he offered me his phone to use to call my husband who of course didn't answer! I finished my checkout and waited outside for quite awhile before the hubby realized I had called and left a message. He had called the number back and spoke with Perry. He finally decided to pick me up! I have never had a checker in a grocery store treat me as respectfully and kindly and generous as Perry did. He is a fine young man and Safeway is darn lucky to have him as are the patrons. Thank you again Perry! read more

It s 3 am I need milk , butter and dog food , where do I go , Safeway . One of the things I love about the safeways near me is they be open 24/7 most of the year . Which good for a night owl that some days does not sleep person like me . The stores have good prices , they are well lite and have good staff working the stores . Some even sell gas at low price too , got to love that . read more

I love this Safeway! I've been going here since the day it opened and the staff is always incredibly friendly and available. I have never been in a grocery store where I can always find someone when I have a question. Every interaction I've had with a staff member has been stellar. The prices are the same as the other Safeway on Bothell-Everett Hwy and there seems to be more selection. And, of course, the convenience of 24 hour shopping can't be beat! I love going to the grocery store at 10:00 at night when no one is crowding the aisles. I agree with others - the location is a bit odd for a grocery store but it's also on my way home from work so it's convenient for me. read more

I like the large parking lot - it's easy to get into and out of without hassle, unlike Fred Meyer stores in the area. A nice deli and bakery selection. I also like the snack sized cookies, 2 for $1, when you don't want to buy a gigantic box of cookies, its a nice alternative. A clean store with friendly employees and a nice modern location. I've been shopping here more and more and notice some of the prices are more competitive than Fred Meyer. read more

Nice grocery store. I like that the parking lot is easy to maneuver and enter/exit. Great selection of products, clearly labeled aisles, organization of products made sense. Employees seemed friendly (I didn't have to ask for help though, really only interacted with the cashier). Only minus is that I don't like the stacked (unpacked?) cardboard boxes on the top shelves in some of the aisles (there was at least one aisle that had this). Just looks sloppy to me. I'll come back here rather than the QFC down the road though even though it's a little further, much nicer store. read more

I like shopping late at night when the stores are quiet but my usual store closes at 11pm so I come to this store once in awhile. After my experience this past weekend, I will find a different store or shop earlier. The young man working the register had an attitude and I bought 2 items that had gone bad. I had to change my dinner menu on Saturday because of this. The total of the 2 items was less than $10 so I'm not going to rummage through my garbage to find the receipt or bother to call the manager. I just wanted people to beware. read more

here is my second update- the Starbucks in there also suck! they act like you are stupid and I am in there every day! today I wanted to use my rewards and it didnt take it then the lady told me how they wont unless I tell her... ok no other Starbucks is like that, and then she says I have to pay cash for the rest since she can't go back and use it! there are good people who work at that Starbucks but the newest girl in the morning is a no go for me! read more

Always check the expiration dates on any packaged meat. Half of the lunchables I purchased on 1/16/12 were expired 1/13/12... and the kicker is this is a new store. read more

The Safeway on Bothell-Everett is the flagship of a newer sshopping development. The store is new as well and very clean. They usually have wine tastings which is an awesome way to start your shopping trip :-) read more

So my friends and i stopedp here to get lunch while on break. I was really disstisfied by there chinese food it was really dry and the lady helping us dropped my friends chicken on the divider and still served it to my friend. Not impressed wont be shopping this safeway again... read more

This is by far my favorite place to shop for groceries. It's spacious, has a great deli and bakery, plenty of parking, and of course a Starbucks. I'd give it five stars, but they do an incredibly poor job removing sale tags after sales are over. They always give you the sale price anyway, but you have to pay close attention to how all your items are ringing up. read more

I came here in search of flowers for my wedding, within my low budget. Santhi in floral not only did an amazing job on the flowers and made everything perfectly beautiful, but her customer service was awesome! Bottom line, she came in way under budget and all was wonderful. I recommend her highly for any event flowers you need. Who'd have thought Safeway would be a great wedding florist? Not me, but I'd be wrong!!! read more

I've been a Bothell Safeway customer for over 40 years and was thrilled by the new Safeway at 24040 Bothell/Everett Hwy. The first manager was a real innovator who made the store a great place to shop. Since he left things weren't the same, and now that the corporation that owns Albertsons has bought the store, it is apparent that it is being run into the ground. The employees have been cut back to twenty hour weeks by management who receives a year end bonus for employee hours saved. There is minimal additional help at the check stands during weekend hours which is much busier than weekdays that stresses the cashiers and customers alike. I have had to go in the dairy section in back myself to get the type of milk I wanted as there was no stock available in the cooler. There are holes in the inventory, boxes in every aisle, constant resets. The initial wine tasting lady who served wine in real glasses, was outgoing, chatty and knowledgable and was a real draw for wine aficionados, I spent over $100 on wine there thanks to her help with smart choices, my wife and I had fun chats and developed friendships with other wine fanciers. Now there is a person with zero knowledge and no personality serving wine in tiny paper cups like those people get their pills handed to them in hospital settings. One of the biggest draws was the friendly and courteous cashiers who now seem to have become very unhappy in their workplace situation. It's a sad thing to watch as seemingly obtuse corporate interests destroy a thriving and formerly vibrant business and ruin the earnings and benefit expectations of their employees. I have begun to spend less there and have gravitated toward their competition. read more
