We recently asked to cancel our contract and was told we were renewed for a 5 year contract and to cancel we will need to pay over $900 - pull payment up to end of contract. Really?? What company can "muscle" you into staying with them. Our first contract with SafeTouch was 2 years, our new upgraded is not living up to the service we were lead to believe we were paying for but that is okay, but we can end by paying lump sum or GET THIS, system can be turned off and we can just continue paying monthly, REALLY??? If we are not satisfied why make us continue to pay you for it???????????? update: Management called and we were able to come to an agreement in cancelling our service. After nearly 20 years as a SafeTouch customer, I never expected my relationship with the company to end this way. I called to temporarily pause my monitoring service while our home is being remodeled. After waiting on hold for about 20 minutes and being transferred to a cancellation specialist, I was told that pausing service wasn't an option. When I asked about canceling and restarting once the remodel was complete, I was informed that I would have to pay the remaining balance of my contract. The problem is that I didn't even realize I was under a contract. In 2024, after my system lost its connection and SafeTouch was no longer monitoring my home, I was told my equipment needed to be upgraded to restore service and that the upgrade would be free of charge. What I wasn't aware of was that the paperwork I signed also extended my contract through 2029. After spending even more time on the phone, I decided to cancel anyway, even though it cost me approximately $1,400. To add to the frustration, after all of that, I was told I still had to send an email requesting cancellation before they could process it. I've been a loyal customer for almost two decades, and this experience was incredibly disappointing. A company should value long-term customers and be transparent about contract terms, especially when presenting something as a "free" upgrade. I have been a loyal customer for over 20 years and I would have to pay for a new system. I am severing tires with the company that does not believe in customer service nor taking care of their customers. Based on my many earlier years of encounters using Safe Touch I would have given it at least a 4 star rating. But based on my overall fairly recent experiences with Safe Touch company, prior to when I very recently received assistance from Safe Touch's employee Justin, I would have given S T just 3 stars. However I would if possible definitely want to give more than 5 stars to Justin in the Jacksonville Safe Touch service center. Justin is an extremely helpful and a very patient service representative!! I have had three different issues come up over the past month re: 3 different component failures within my Safe Touch security system. All 3 issues occurred on weekend days when the Tallahassee office is closed during the weekend. I thus called S T's Jacksonville location. In doing so, I was very fortunate to have reached Justin. He was able to guide me through the process that was necessary in order to stop what had been a failed component's weekend long beeping warning sounds :-( . And today Justin very patiently stepped me though the processes that helped to rectify a third system component which had caused my entire security system to completely stop functioning over the weekend. I truly hope Safe Touch's management team fully realizes just how very fortunate S T is to have an exemplary employee such as Justin. I recently called SafeTouch to get my backup battery replaced. The first two customer service agents told me I would be charged for a service call because there wasn't an active warning signal. That explanation made no sense, since the warning signal only appears when the power is out. It wasn't until I threatened to cancel my service that a representative in the billing/contract department finally confirmed the truth: the backup battery is covered under warranty, and there would be no charge for the replacement visit. This back-and-forth was frustrating and unnecessary. SafeTouch's customer service has steadily declined while their prices have increased. Paid 3300.00 up front to Justin Wofford, service manager. Took a month to install. Sent one tech out for a two person job-so spent 6 hours off work to get installed. Service tech left without setting up a safe word. First fire alarm goes off in a smokey kitchen and we deactivate using app immediately. Get a call from dispatch confirming false alarm. But no safe word set up. THEY SENT THE FIRE DEPARTMENT ANYWAY!!!!!. Cannot cancel this service. Locked into an 89.00 a month service contract for 3 years with a company that has no idea what customer service means. Stay away from Safetouch......literally any other system will do you better. They offered me nothing for my inconvenience except "there's nothing you can do, talking with a manager will not change your situation and we do not offer customers refunds or discounts for inconveniences"...... read more

Do not engage Safe Touch Security to take care of the security of your home. They lead you to believe that they will be installing the system, you sign a contract and you give them your credit card payment. A couple of days before the supposed installation we got a call and email asking us to sign another contract and the day before installation a phone call telling us there was no record of payment. This morning they were supposed to be here at 8:30 and we canceled other important appointments we had so we could be here and learn about the system. No one showed up and we received no call from Caleb the representative or from the company to explain what was going on. The customer service is AWFUL and UNRELIABLE. I don't understand how anyone could entrust this company with their security when they are unreliable in every way. We have called ADT and their response was immediate and we will be using them. I hired save touch security alarm systems for my home around five months ago. Installed were security cameras, and motion sensors on my windows and within the home. It has been a nightmare. As of recently, why having medical treatment away from home the police were someone's out to my home Twice within a 10 day. Period. Faulty sensors, and alarm systems installed in my home. Now my security cameras do not work. Every time I call the tech department they can't seem to fix and when I get management on the phone, they say it's gonna be a month before they can come out to my home or to expedite. I will have to pay $300 because they installed faulty systems in my home. My doorbell camera they install was faulty also. They installed a newer version and that does not work either. Very static he and the voice is also static when speaking to a visitor outside the door. . Buyer beware. I fired ADT security alarm systems because I thought they were bad. If I could give 0 starts I would I have had the worst experience with this company. The salesman sold me cameras for my home and business. He explained at my business I only needed two outdoors cameras and one indoor camera to "bridge the gap" between the outdoor cameras. When the installer came to install the cameras he asked when I would like the cameras as I have four exterior doors and only two cameras (i was then informed the indoor camera does not record). I called the salesmen and questioned him and his response was "no one breaks into a building from the back" WHAT! I should have stopped the installation and canceled everything but I gave them the benefit of the doubt and let them install them. Then it came time to install the cameras at my house. Before purchasing I asked if I would receive notifications on my phone and was told yes (later to find out you only get so many a month and if you want more you have to pay extra for that). I had nothing but issues at my house and office from day one and every time I called they came to try to fix the problems. When I finally had enough and said I would just like a refund they told me I was past the 3 days return window and didnt want to help me any longer. Fast forward to a year later Im still dealing with the issues and my business was almost broken into and low and behold the cameras never alerted me (even though I pay for the extra notifications) Safte Touch does not care about my concerns and knows Im stuck in a contract for 5 years. I currently have safe touch security in my home. I have just recently sold my home and I am moving into a new home just 13 miles away from my old home. I wanted to continue using safe touch at my new home however I was informed that I would have to pay the remainder of my contract at my current home. What the fuck !!! That's about 3K unless I continue their service at my new home then it's like 2300.00 plus I still need to buy new equipment and have it installed there so that'll be about another 3K. You people are a scam and need to be shut down. I can't believe you do people this way. I should've read your reviews prior to getting involved with you because you have screwed me. I don't see what the issue is with just letting me buy new stuff and paying for that and installation at my new house. I have been a SafeTouch customer for nearly 20 years. There service has always been 10+. I just called for service because a fire sensor is constantly chirping. The repair person said to remove the cover the see if it stops. It set the alarm off because it thinks the system is being tampered with. The first available appointment is not for another week. We recently purchased a new home and wanted to explore our security monitoring options. SafeTouch was one of them. Our sales rep did a great job of providing information that was necessary, especially for someone that has never had a security system before and isn't up to date on the latest and greatest when it comes to technology. I did absorb some of what he was saying, but some other things... I didn't agree with, but I kept it moving. Our new home for some reason does not have a doorbell system. They don't sell wireless doorbells, such as the Nest or the Ring. Their reason - It has to be charged which means the battery can die. They also don't offer multiple panels. Their reason - Everything can be controlled on the app. Luckily we were able to go with a security company that allowed us to integrate multiple door bells, and panels in addition to a whole lot more. All controlled on the app and then some. I think SafeTouch would be a great option for some people, but it wasn't for us. read more

Their app does not work AND the video recording doesn't work. You have to manually delete videos every 30 days or else it stops recording. Since the day I started my service with them 5 years ago it's been straight bullshit. They put you in long contracts and refuse to let you cancel when THEIR system doesn't work. Don't advertise that you have a great system when you DON'T. If you're going to continue to collect peoples money, then INVEST in a better app, truthful salesmen, and technology. Sub-par product and service - and they rely on holding customers to full 3 year contract in spite of multiple system failures and inconvenient service visits. November 6th, 2021 (8am) - Installers were unable to complete the installation, as they were in need of a part that was not available (Saturday). During this visit, the hard wiring in the previously functioning panel was all cut - since they were adding wireless sensors. November 16th, 2021 (window 1pm - 2pm) - A new crew of installers arrived, and continued working until after dark. At this time we were not provided any collateral or literature other than to use the online app - Alula. I was surprised this was an outsourced app, and not seemingly proprietary of Safetouch, since that had never been mentioned before. It doesn't work well. November 21st, 2021 - Within a few days, a sensor developed a fault - which causes an hourly beep. December 1st, 2021 - They emailed me about the autopay function. I emailed her back advising her that the system still is not working. No response. December 6th, 2021 (8am) - Service technician identified zone 8 (window in the family room) was not connected properly. He removed the wireless sensor and replaced it. The error message on the keypad vanished, and we figured all was fine. I was a little concerned having needed a service visit so early on, considering the system worked fine for a few days and then fizzled. December 10th, 2021 - The alert on the keypad came on again, with the system beeping every hour. Another service visit was scheduled. December 22, 2021 (3pm - 5pm) - A new technician noted that the battery was not properly in place for zone 8. He secured the battery, made sure the magnet connected, and cleared the error message on the keypad. December 25, 2021 - A new error message appeared on the keypad, this time for zone 14. Beeping on the hour again. At this point, I am not at all confident this system is dependable or will continue to work properly without significant effort/scheduling/impeding work and inconvenience. It has not worked properly for more than a few days at a time, and is less than 2 months old. December 27th, 2021 - I called to request cancellation based on the poor track record of the system. The representative told me that I could not cancel and would have to pay out the full 3 year contract. December 28th, 2021 - I called again and was given an email address to write to request cancellation. (Done - email sent) January 5, 2022 - I've reached out a few more times, no response to cancellation request. Representatives keep saying that it does not matter how many times they send service reps or the system fails because they offer a lifetime guarantee... this does not offset having to schedule work around their visits several times a month...VERY UNHAPPY CUSTOMER! read more

Always prompt response to alarms... ...but, just like cable companies and the mega-security companies, they are totally obtuse to the value of a customer's time. Theirs is valuable, and yours is worthless. It doesn't matter if you're an attorney with a $400/hr billing rate, you'll be expected to sit around the house for hours waiting for some schlub high-school grad to show up and spend 10 minutes replacing a sensor (something which you could do yourself with some competitors' systems). If they had any sensibility, their techs would call YOU when they're on the way, and wait for YOU. After all, aren't they charging you for it??? In the end, I'm not sure if the prompt response to false alarms from marginal hardware is really worth the premium over the cut-rate mega competitors. read more

Only gave SafeTouch one star because I had no other option in order to leave this review. My elderly mother purchased an alarm system package with this trash company. I honestly do not know if it was properly explained to her that it was a 3 yr contract wasn't there for it. However fast forward a year later my mother sells her home and purchases a condo in a 55+ community. No longer needs SafeTouch I awaken to hear the customer service representative being disrespectful and rude to my mother. I get up grab the phone and ask to speak to a supervisor Nicole S. I explained the situation. Nicole asks me to email a copy of my mothers sales contract for the condo. Which I do. Case closed they'll cancel the contract (May 2022). My mothers passes away June 2022 my heart is destroyed and here comes another bill from SafeTouch. Oh look contract was never canceled. They lied. And now want her death certificate. 8 Year Long Customer - Leaving because of bad customer service I would say that Safetouch Security back in 2009-2010 was a great service, but until recently when we decided to move and start new at a new construction house, we see that the level of service has gone WAY DOWN. We started off with Kurt (the salesperson) coming out to the new construction home and saying that our pre-wired system only needed the keypads replaced for $250.00 and the monitoring service would be $30/month. Fine. He then sets up the technician, Kyle, to come out a week later, they get there and say that Kurt didn't know what he was talking about and wrote down all the wrong equipment and that they would need to re-do the entire system (which would in turn void our builders warranty) so we were like, no thank you, we want our deposit back. Getting the deposit back has been the longest process - 4 customer service people later and 5 days later we now hear the refund has been processed but could take 7-10 days to show up in our account. Then yesterday I see a pending $33.81 charge on my bank account for service!! WHAT? We don't even have service. I call Safetouch, the representative says that there's a 50/50 chance it will go through! I said so I have to wait? She says, call back tomorrow if it goes through. This morning, of course the charge went through. Call Safetouch back, AGAIN. She puts me on hold for 10 minutes comes back and says she was advised to wait a few more days to see if the charge gets refunded. At this point I'm furious. I call back and ask to speak with a manager. The representative has me on hold for 11 minutes... I think this is their tactic. Leave you on hold to see if you hang up. I finally had to hang up as I was at work. Worst customer service ever. Almost $300 dollars later... no service, no refunds.. we called ADT and got a new service put in. Will never use or recommend SafeTouch ever again. read more

They do not guarantee their equipment. The equipment did not have a life span of longer than 60-90 days. It appeared the equipment may have been refurbished. Did not stay connected to internet and I was i told it was my problem. Since changing to another company I have had no problems, pay less per month and they guarantee the equipment. If I could rate this company less than one star I would! STAY AWAY! I sold my house and don't have a place to transfer my system. I'm under contract and they will not pause it until I buy a new house and refuse to turn my system off. So now I'm left with two options. Not selling my house or I guess cut the wires and have the cops come out because I cant sell the house to someone with s system on that they don't have control over. Additionally, my phone number changed and they will not change my phone number except via fax. Seriously, who owns a fax machine? First of all I wasn't aware there was a 3 year contract with an additional 2 years no one tells you about if you don't do a written cancellation in certain period of time after cancellation date. We had service 2007 to 2013. Along with alarm a smoke/heat sensor was purchased. We had issues with that sensor and a tech came out. The sensor was disconnected without our knowledge. We paid for the sensor and monitoring for those years. Now we find out the sensor had been disconnected and we contacted Safe Touch. They will take no responsibility for repairing or replacing the sensor. read more
