I'm writing this because today's interaction with Atlantic Security was so unprofessional that it…read moregenuinely shocked me. Months ago, I called Atlantic for a quote on a system. I decided to keep researching, because unlike many customers, I don't jump into expensive security decisions blindly. After doing extensive research, I determined that the DSC NEO system was the right fit for me. I contacted Atlantic Security again and requested a quote specifically for the NEO. The quote came back at over $5,000, which was unnecessarily high, so I declined politely. A few months later, I purchased the DSC NEO directly from Tyco Integrated / Johnson Controls--the manufacturer. Today, I called Atlantic Security to inquire about installation and monitoring. Instead of receiving normal customer service, I was spoken to with a snarky, condescending attitude by a representative named Laina. She told me they were "not interested in doing business with me" and that I had "wasted their time multiple times." This is completely unacceptable. Comparing prices, researching equipment, and ensuring I make the right decision on a multi-thousand-dollar security system is not "wasting time." That is called being a smart consumer. These are major decisions--not impulse purchases. Here's the part Atlantic clearly didn't bother to consider: My father's company is a major corporation with multiple homes, buildings, and commercial sites--every one of which is secured and monitored. He is one of Atlantic Security's largest clients. In addition: I personally own a large technology company, and the amount of future business Atlantic could have received from me alone is something they clearly can't even begin to fathom. Because of the disrespect I experienced from one representative, Atlantic Security has now jeopardized--and likely completely lost--two major long-term clients representing a massive amount of revenue. All because of one employee who chose to speak to a customer with rudeness, attitude, and zero professionalism. I will be filing a formal BBB complaint. At minimum, Atlantic Security needs to retrain or reassign Laina, because speaking to paying clients or potential clients that way is unacceptable in any industry--let alone the security industry. Congratulations, Atlantic Security. In a single phone call, you managed to lose a tremendous amount of business from two extremely large companies

Monitor program is way more complicated than it needs to be. In addition, I feel that the program is collection information! Refuse facial recognition and locational add ons. The original installation, after discounts was four times the fee quoted to me by SafeTouch! Payed a year in advance for monitoring service! Will return to SafeTouch next year (assuming that their business hasn't been taken over by off-site programming!)

As of 23 March 2025, I' been a customer of Vivint since the middle of 2022. Over the last 12…read moremonths, the smoke/carbon detector has been going off more frequently as every month past. When talking with Vivint Representative during trouble shooting, there response was the dust is why the alarm would activate. I had my ventilation ducts cleaned, and after several weeks, the alarm continued to be set off 3 to 4 times per month. Finally, Vivint agreed to replace the detector. The same vivint Representative I spoke with on replacing the device, said I would also receive prepaid postage to return the old faulty detector. Upon receiving the new detector, I opened the package to find the new detector with no prepaid postage label or even a return address to ship the old faulty smoke detector. The directions were not detailed enough to program the new detector into the vivint hub panel. So, I had to call Vivint and to get the detector setup and get them to email me a return address to mail the faulty detector to (58 minute phone call), which should have not taken over 10 to 15minutes at the most to complete. Here is further information, highlighting why the phone call took so long. First of all, customer service had very broken English, I could barely make out every other word they were saying. I was having to ask them to repeat what they were saying. 2nd, I ask them to clarify procedures for returning the faulty equipment. The Representative, first said the faulty equipment didn't have to be returned (red flag) completely contradicting what the first Representative had told me 10 days prior. I told the Representative, that I'm not going to be on the hook for a ridiculous fee of not returning faulty equipment, and the information that he was giving me was conflicting information of the first representative. I requested email to be sent to me with a address to ship the faulty equipment to, and after 45minutes waiting on the phone, I finally received the email. It didn't take but 5 minutes to give him the numbers off the new device and he manually entered it in his system and it appeared on my security panel. Vivint has a good product in my opinion, please work on the setup instructions and improving customer service. I hope this review has been helpful.

Likely the most dishonest and lazy company I have ever dealt with…read more First, they lied about the contract length on the phone. The rep who signed us up was "very helpful," but misled us into believing the 5-year term was for "financing" only -- not a contract -- and that we could cancel anytime. Dishonest right out of the gate. When I called back to ask about it, the rep said, "It's not what was said on the phone, it was in the contract." A company with real integrity, apparently. The service side is just as bad -- absolutely lazy. After the initial install, I tried multiple times to reach my local rep about adding some other options. Crickets. A year later, we needed service to reinstall part of the system. The technician, Tom Frank (badge #2520), was completely uninterested in helping. We had 6 sensors already wired to the panel that just needed to be mounted -- two screws each, one ladder, maybe an hour's work. He said he only had 1.5 hours, then canceled the entire appointment rather than mount even one sensor, leaving my family unprotected. I intend to report them to the CFPB for misleading financial sales tactics, and to the BBB and every review site I can find. Fair is fair. To be balanced: the cameras themselves are great.

I'm so perplexed about what went wrong with this clean out. I think the corporate level is…read moredisconnected from the local guys who do the sales and cleaning because this job got messed up. We were quoted $7000 which was the middle quote of three companies I interviewed. For $7k I was expecting a meticulous cleanout from top to bottom but one and a half days into the job, they thought they were finished. I thought there would be a team of people cleaning for four days but it was just one tragic guy who I pitied it was so much work. After a discussion with corporate and an exchange of photos, guy number two shows up and cleans for only one day. Again, the job isn't finished but corporate and guy number two thinks it is. I send picks of the bathroom that didn't get touched but was included in contract and a massive amount of stuff under the master bed I mean it was crammed full of debris and filth! And refrigerator shelving that had been removed but not cleaned. Details I thought I wouldn't have to worry about. So now Guy three finished the job and we are worn down and just want it to end so we pay after they deducted the cost of a vacuum cleaner that went missing. So, I think the sales guy over sold and co tract was vague. I hope to never be in a situation where I need to use this type of service but I was impressed with the accounting department and good documentation on why some drawers were disposed of. They needed to be. Hope this helps anyone who needs this type of service.
