I was surprised to be able to text with someone to ask questions and get a quote for a replacement…read moreback windshield for my truck. Whoever was answering the texts seemed nice and interested and gave me an honest quote. When I arrived for my appointment, the front desk kid, who couldn't have been more than 21 or so, seemed bored like I inconvenienced his day. He and another boy pulled my truck around back and started to work. About an hour later my truck was finished. I was quoted 2 hours so this was fine by me. I worked from my laptop in their lobby. WiFi would have been nice but I made it work. It was only there an hour. Glass was replaced. What I thought was odd was I was paying with a card and the kid had to call his boss and read off my card to him which concerned me initially. I did receive an invoice and an invoice text so I felt like it at least was charged where it was supposed to. I also saved half of what Safelight would have cost me to drive 20 mins up the road. That's a win. I would return.

Absolutely terrible communication!…read more I had contacted Glass Doctor in regards to replacing a $130 framed mirror that arrived shattered from Amazon during shipment. I explained to the owner that it had arrived broken and that the Amazon seller was reshipping a new mirror. I had questioned whether it was worth replacing, but if it could be done for a reasonable amount I would like to keep from throwing away a beautiful metal frame. Owner stated they agreed, I gave dimensions of mirror and owner stated it would cost $50. I dropped framed mirror off and didn't hear anything until I called 2 weeks later. Owner stated the mirror was complete and I could pick up. The following morning I went to pick up the mirror. However, owner was not present and when employee went to charge me there was no ticket on the item. The employee called the owner and after some discussion I was told it would cost $120! I stated I could have purchased a new mirror for $130 and that I had been quoted $50 initially. There was zero communication in letting me know that it would cost more than double the initial quote. Had I known I would not have had it replaced. In the end I ended up paying $75, which is still more than I had been quoted, but not the $120 they had tried to charge me. I absolutely will not do business with this company again and will not recommend any company, such as this one, that bait and switch their customers.

I've heard most times this recalibration is not needed, but if it turns out it IS needed, you'd have to take it somewhere else at a cost of $250-$700, or as much as $1,000 at a dealership! No thank you! Especially after the already expensive windshield! My tech was Kyle and, boy, was he sharp! When he arrived he told me it would take around an hour, I believe he finished the windshield installation, recalibration and cleanup in around 30 minutes - no small feat for my big Honda Odyssey on his own - and returned from the test drive in under 10 minutes. It was easy to pay with any type of credit card, even AmEx, and all told I think it was about 40 minutes. The owner, Steve, was a pleasure to talk to, as was Kyle, A couple of easygoing guys. I definitely made the right choice! And, if ever I have the need again, I will probably only be putting out a call for one quote ... from MasterTech.

I brought my 2023 Toyota Highlander in for detailing. While the interior looked great, the next day…read morewe noticed numerous fine scratches across the exterior that were not there before. This is a newer, garage-kept, well-maintained vehicle, and the damage occurred while it was under the care of Recon Techs. When we returned to the business to address our concerns, the owner was nasty and confrontational and immediately dismissed the issue, blaming an automatic car wash, which was not the cause. We took the vehicle to a local auto body shop for an independent opinion. Without knowing where the car had been detailed, they confirmed the scratches were not consistent with car wash damage and were most likely caused by a dirty microfiber cloth. We then asked for recommendations on where to take the car for repairs and, coincidentally, they recommended Recon Tech, unaware that this was where the vehicle had been detailed. This auto body shop frequently refers clients to Recon Tech, but after seeing the damage on our vehicle, the owner stated he could no longer, in good conscience, continue referring customers to this business. We gave Recon Tech the opportunity to make things right, but they refused to work with us to resolve the situation.
