I give them 5 stars because as soon as I walked in the door they were courteous respectful and talk to me like a person and not a number the secretary of the office was real polite then the technician come in from the back he was very polite. The technician brought me out to my car pointed out a couple things what they're going to be doing I asked him a question if I could get my Park window stickers cuz I hate to throw them away they're still active for this year he said he would see what he can do and you know why he's saved them and put them on my windshield I was very happy with that the price was reasonable I found a coupon online have brought the price the $179 what's good is I haven't had a broken windshield for over 30 years. 1st appt rescheduled by text day b/f -windshield not there. 2nd appt confirmed by them morning of--noon appt (cust waiting) Told @12:30 they didn't have windshield--might be on truck between 2-4 ..or not. (?) If on truck but not there til 4 can't install that day b/c 5 pm close time and it takes 1 1/2-2 hours to install. Took Uber home @12:30 got call @2:40 install complete (WTH?) Had to Uber back next morning. Told by mgr Matt Eggleston that warehouse @ location suddenly closed & all staff laid off by corporate day of appt. they didn't know where anything was.... He agreed to pay for my Uber trips (I paid tips & upgrade) but then only sent check for 1 trip b/c (direct quote) "unfortunately we have parts issues all the time" ?? But had email from him on 6/12 "can I please get your address for the Uber reimbursement". I would avoid this company-sounds like it's failing. Wonder how they would handle it if you had a poor installation problem? read more

Was not a good experience. First time windshield was installed, technician left it with a small crack in center of windshield. Had to have someone out for a 2nd time to install a new one. No one contacted me regarding the faulty installation or offer any sort of discount on wiper blades, which I paid for on the first visit, and also smear my windshield I have discovered. Also the 2nd technician left damage on my rearview mirror on the outer edges of the binding piece - looks like he used a jagged tool to pop it open as the edging on the plastic around it is all now 'chewed up' etc. He was frustrated with me because there were multiple air bubbles he had left behind. Was not happy with this service. I'm still not even sure the windshield was installed correctly as now I've noticed the stamp for the manufacturer is now on the passenger side, not the drivers side. read more

This review should not be considered a direct review of this location but rather a review of the corporate entity. This location provides outstanding service and customer care. However, the corporate definition of customer service is to let you talk to a computer or communicate through email. Without a doubt because of the issues I had with trying to get warranty service after replacing a $2,000 windshield I will NEVER use Safelite again. I spent hours trying to use their website and calling phone numbers trying to get the warranty service scheduled. I NEVER did get a chance to talk to anyone but after 3 DAYS I got a return call from an email I left trying schedule the work. The Safelite definition of customer service is nothing more than a circle of electronic interactions with NO WAY to talk to someone. NEVER AGAIN. This is the third windshield I have had replaced by Safelite but their change in approach to customer has made it my last!! read more

Customer service was very bad. Service person came to my home to fix my passenger window. He was young and inexperienced and did not know how to replace the window. So I had to make another appointment to go to the shop in Fairfield. Somehow between the first technician and the second tech one of them damage the motor and the window would not roll up. They claim it was already damaged but it worked just fine before i took it there. They claimed they could not fix it and didn't have any ideal what I could do to get it fixed. They didn't even put plastic over the window until I could get someone else to repair it. read more

Windshield had a quarter-sized crack in it after a rock hit it on the interstate. Geico set me up with Safelite at no charge to me and I got in first thing the next morning at the time I requested. Free refreshments and WiFi in their waiting room, which was clean and had a couple TVs showing the news. Took about 25 minutes to do the repair. You can still see where the crack was, but I knew this from a friend who had his windshield repaired and their work comes with a lifetime warranty. Very friendly staff. Thanks! read more

After booking, they did the leg work with the insurance company but also gave me pricing for both with insurance deductible or paying cash. I was able to check my account the day before to know how much I would need to pay day of service. No hidden costs on arrival, didn't try to upsell me anything in store. I usually have Safelite come to my place and change out my windshields, but this time I had to take my car in since they had to re-calibrate my EyeSight cameras in my car following a windshield change. Very disappointing & No help at all. Very Poor Customer Service. I was trying to help a customer whose 2 windows on the driver side that was supposed to be replaced by Safelite in Fairfield. Evidently when the customer, Ariel Hernandez picked up his vehicle, made his payment to the cashier assuming the 2 broken windows have been replaced. They gave him his key and he found out one window was replaced but it was not the right window and the other window was never replaced at all. He came to AAA office and ask for our assistance. I called the # (707) 416-2982 you can never talk to a live person. The voice message was saying their office is open from 8:00am till 7:00pm but it was only 4:44pm when I called. These 2 windows were supposed to be replaced. When the customer went to their shop and complained to them the customer was told that he only requested one window. It's just a commons sense, if you see 2 Windows were broken why don't you ask the customer and confirm that he has 2 broken windows. Per insured, he never told them to replace one window only. He said this is the reason why he brought his car to his shop to have them replaced. I am shocked about their customer service. read more

My experience with Safelite is just what 3 stars means, A-OK. I recently had my driver's side window shattered by a thief and needed to have it replaced. My insurance company recommended Safelite and that was fine with me. Safelite boasts that they will come to you at a time that is convenient. While the process of scheduling was easy, I was disappointed with their lack of availability. In order to get my window fixed soon I would have to go to them (about a 20 minute drive). This would normally not be an issue but it was because of inclement weather making it dangerous for me to drive without a window. Instead I had to schedule a couple days out for when they could come to me. I was lucky to have a family member loan me a car during his time. They reminded me of the appointment, complete with a picture of the person who would be doing the repair. This was much appreciated! The man who did the repair was very friendly and professional. My window looked great! Unfortunately there was a mistake made and the next day I could not get out of my car. The parts that connected my door handle were not connected correctly, leaving me trapped in my car and having to crawl across to the other side. I called Safelite to report the issue and they immediately offered to fix it. Once again though, they could not get me in for a couple days. I decided to drive to them (having to call off work early to get there) so that I would have a functional door. The employees were very apologetic and friendly. I was impressed by how quickly my door was fixed and they even got some more broken glass out of the inside of my door that was making an annoying sound. I was happy to have my car back in working order but wish it had been as convenient as they advertise. But hey, they did give me a febreze air freshener! read more

I wasn't planning on needing Safelite, but when someone decided to break into my car and destroy my window in the process, I was glad to have them around. I had originally scheduled with another company (selected by my insurance company) to have my window replaced, but they told me they couldn't get out to my car for another day- not acceptable when I had to get to work the next morning. I called Safelite at 11AM and had an appointment for 3PM, which took all my stress away. The receptionist did a great job setting my appointment, including dealing with the insurance company change to make sure I didn't have 2 claims for the same incident. When I got to Safelite, the technicians were helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable- they made me feel like I could sit back, relax, and know that everything was under control. It took about 90 minutes to replace my window, about the time /i was told. When it was done, the window looked like it had been there all along, and all of the remaining glass had been swept out of my car. It was great to be able to move on so fast like nothing had happened! Bottom line: I wish Safelite had been able to come to me on the day of the incident (no one on the road that day- hardly their fault for my last-minute issue), but thanks to their great availability and service, I would definitely call them again if I need them. I took my car here for a windshield replacement a couple days ago. I talked to someone at 4:30 right before they closed who confirmed that they would leave my car out and leave my key on my front left tire because I wouldn't be able to be there before 5:00. So we drove all the way there just to find out nobody put my car out and it was still in the garage. This was only 15 minutes after they closed we couldn't get ahold of anybody. So we had to go all the way home and all the way back in the morning, which is a huge waste of time, gas, and is very inconvenient. When we called in the morning to make sure it was ready for me to pick up, it was extremely hard to even get ahold of someone at this location, we had to talk to several people who had to keep transferring us, then when we finally did get ahold of someone, we told them about the situation and they essentially did not care. I just started my cross country journey from Ohio to California. It was very cold that morning and my windshield ended up cracking due to a chip + running the defroster. I couldn't drive 2000+ miles with a crack that size in my line of site. So I pulled over made an appointment with Safelite in Fairfield. I was surprised they had one same day. Upon arrival at their shop, they were very courteous and explained the process. Since I was towing, I unhooked my trailer and the tech brought my Audi Q7 in promptly and then explained the process once again along with the total cost. I agreed since I was paying out of pocket. (Deductible was higher than cost of windshield) Within the hour they called me back. Then completed the job and the price came in less than the quote since less parts were needed, I paid the tech on the spot with their handy Apple Store like iPad device and was back on the road again. I attempted to have my windshield replaced in my 2002 Honda Civic through a Progressive Insurance claim. After showing up at the very end of the 3 hour window allotted for the appointment, they refused to install the glass. Their refusal was based on a minuscule spot of rust which was just in stage of forming, barely visible. They claimed that since they offer a lifetime warranty they could not do the repair. I told them that I would sign a form waiving the lifetime warranty, and still nothing. I offered to pay them cash and not file it through insurance, and still nothing. I am sending them an invoice for my 3 hours of wasted time. I have never once experienced a company refusing to perform work in this manner before. read more

My technician, Anthony, couldn't have been nicer! He let me know that it would take about an hour to replace, and then need another hour to sit. When he told me this I actually had to reschedule because I was unaware of the sitting time and needed to get to work. Anthony was totally okay with this, and actually rescheduled my appointment right there on the spot. A few days later he came by and fixed it with no problems. My rear window was busted out completely. The tech couldn't get the bolt out of the old rear wiper assembly. He just taped the window on and connected what he could. He was nice enough to tape the hole shut. Another mechanic took 5 minutes to get the bolt loose and finished installing. I was charged full price for a job that wasn't finished. read more

Had to replace my windshield today because of a large crack that appeared, most likely from the cold. My husband was able to make an appointment online, no hassle and same day. The price was lower than four other places we got quotes from first. Upon arrival the receptionists were pleasant and attentive. The waiting area small, but had coffee, pop and water well stocked and a tv playing the game show network - everyone waiting got really into Linked lol. My technician, Mark was pleasant and knowledgeable and made sure all my needs were met. Everything was done on a smart phone with a stylus - very techy! The windshield was replaced within an hour but had to cure for a while before I could leave. Mark even made sure my windows and mirrors were cleaned inside and out and even vacuumed my floor boards. Overall, a good experience, though I had to pay an unexpected expense. I would highly recommend Safe Lite to anyone! read more

I liked that I received timely communication about my service such as call when leaving the appointment before mine, and an email with a picture of the technician that would be coming. SCAMMERS!!! My insurance company works with Safelite and transferred my call. The man from Safelite only asked where my car will be located and if the chip was smaller than a dollar bill. Yes, it was just a small chip from a rock. He came out to my work a week later and instead of fixing it, he put a crack across my entire windshield! His only response was "I don't have a windshield with me to fix it now, call the company." I did and they quote me $289 for a new windshield! They then say "Its in the policy that it may break even more, so you're in charge of paying for a new windshield." Where was this so-called policy when we spoke on the phone in the first place?? So now I have a cracked windshield and feel completely scammed by Safelite. read more

This was the easiest/pain free thing I've ever done with my vehicle! They called ME, set up a time that worked with MY schedule, came to MY work, and they did their work while I continued to do mine. I didn't have to stop my day to bring my car to them, or stand outside with them to watch them repair my windshield. The gentleman came, took my keys, called me when it was finished and was on his way. Very personable, professional and friendly! Also, since my insurance company (Progressive) covered the work, there was no paperwork or payment involved. I highly recommend paying for full glass coverage if you drive a lot like me, and then request that your insurance company work directly with Safelite!
