It's been a while since we came in for drinks and food at this Saddle Ranch location. We did some shopping for two days in a row that's why we came here for two days straight. I'v always liked the food here and they have one of the best brunch food and drinks out there. Sometimes we come in to watch UFC, it's one of my favorite sports and this restaurant and bar has enough good TVs to watch it. They do have cover charge for UFC big fights though. The outdoor bar is my favorite cause the weather is usually nice in north OC. Heaters work well at nights so the outdoor bar is where we eat and drink after some shopping. It's not loud and crowded here so it's much better than Dave & Buster's or Lucky strike in this shopping center. They make good Grey Goose martinis, Micheladas and Bloody Marys. For food vegetarian burger, spicy chicken lettuce wrap, jumbo buffalo wings and filet steak are good choices, the tots here are so flavorful and yummy! Haven't been here even though I pass through it all the time. However, friends and I decided to check it out for the bottomless mimosas and bloody Mary's. Let me say, the drinks were amazing and the food was really good too. We got Daveri as our server and she was amazing. She kept our drinks coming and was super friendly. I honestly didn't know what to expect being that the place looked empty. Also wasn't sure why they recommended reservations being that more then half of the restaurant is empty. Came to the assumption that they are under staffed and have to limit seating. Also Daveri was non-stop the whole time we were there. Everyone in the restaurant was in their toes, being attentive so I'm very pleased. Food came out in good time, it was good and the service was great. I'd give it 5 stars for the service we got but I feel management needs to pay attention and staff better so the staff isn't so overworked. read more

The staff was so nice, hospitable, and fun. From the moment we walked into the door, they were attentive and warm. As for the food-- we were beautifully greeted with a complimentary spinach dip appetizer, which was really tasty. The bread bowl was extra fresh and definitely a winner. On the downside of things, my daughter ordered a ranch club which was fairly subpar, too salty, and the fries were old and stale tasting. My husband had the spinach and salmon salad which was very uneventful and basic. The salmon was cooked ok but it was simply a huge bowl of spinach and nothing else but salmon and dressing. Not the best. My other daughter had a French dip and said it was ok. Again, as for service, FANTASTIC! The ambiance was great and everything else in between was amazing but the food wasn't what we expected. I hate to report that the food was drunk people bar food, and they certainly can't hang with the big dogs. On the brighter side of things, they have a super fun and entertaining establishment. It's so cute and is loads of fun for adults. Gotta love that. I wish we could rate in categories; if that were possible, they would receive a 5 stars for service, 5 stars for ambiance, and 1 star for food. Interestingly enough, I will be back at some point to give them another try because it might be better. If I'm being honest, the food wasn't that great. Other than the jumbo buffalo wings, the salad with blue cheese, pecans and cranberries was average. As well as the macaroni and cheese. It needed more cheese and tasted more milky then cheesy. Wish they would've obliged our request by only bringing out the wings first. Our waitress (Daveri *B) made our dinner even that much more special as she is what I call the right type of staff for a Grade A Restaurant and she was very attentive and just has the right personality that I believe would make a Great Manager or Owner of a Establishment for sure, we thank you and loved that you were our waitress, Not a lot of Restaurants have these type of workers in there establishments anymore so I really love how the staff treats there customers and our needs. We Came down to shop and eat different restaurants from the Fresno Area and this is our 2nd time here and we Love It and Most definitely recommend it as well as we know it is one of our "Must Visit Spots To Eat" when in Orange. If I could give this place 0 stars I would. Out of three came here for lunch on a Saturday around 11am. Establishment barely had anyone in it so service was pretty good at first. We got our drink order in and it came pretty quick. After about 5-6 minutes our waitress returned to take our food order. After that we never saw her again. That order took nearly 30 minutes for it to be brought to our table and it was wrong, no special requests were made either. While waiting our drink glasses were empty. Took 15 minutes for anyone to check if we needed another. The atmosphere was dead, servers weren't tentative and the manager made a scene in public towards another customer. To top that off, men's restroom urinal wasn't clean according to my husband, and the women's restroom didn't have toilet paper. Now I know why we stopped coming here for several years. read more

This is my first and possibly only review I will add, I usually don't do this at all but the service was horrible. My business partners and I had set a reservation after the convention and I spoke to the person at front about my reservation when they said they would check me in. Half an hour later I don't see anyone in the front anymore and when she eventually appears she said I was apparently already sat. At this point we were so close to leaving but due to the weather we decided to wait it out and get a table. The girl at the front looked so unamused, bored, didn't even want to be there I spoke to multiple other customers who agreed. I get working costumer service is difficult but definitely don't have someone like that working the front if you want to start your guests on the wrong foot. The only thing I would give a 5 star review on would be on the goodness for our server I think her name was Kathy. She was very knowledgeable on the menu and helped us pick the best appetizers. Now this review is of the restaurant cause they seemed that they didn't have it under control which is absurd for a high profile restaurant in a MALL on a rainy day but oh well. Don't think i'll come back next time on a trip but thank you kathy if you ever see this you made our dinner tonight better!!! The food was decent and my colleagues agreed on the ribeye and the baked potato that it was one of the best in the states. There are some things I need to mention before coming to this restaurant. But first, A message to Cathy: Cathy. YOU DESERVE 50 STARS, and I'm sorry I had to give this a bad review, but the business's needs to change. Out of all of the servers at Saddle Ranch, you were patient, kind, and never made a big deal out of anything. For context... My brother has a Severe Allergy to some food, and I have a Service Dog for my Disability(s). We have special accommodations with our disabilities that help mitigate our experience when going out. We always have a difficult time going out because most food he is allergic too so we don't usually have a family dinner, but chose too tonight because we were together and were excited to eat somewhere that was nice. This place though. The staff are STRESSED out. Literally, a woman with brown hair curly, working at the front was complaining to me about her job. Telling me she HAS to fold all these dressings for the napkins. There were 2-4 servers I saw there, and they ALL when faced with a question, completly dipped, ignored people WAVING them down, and had a very hard time with the system they are working for. We waited for a booth because with a Service Dog, I have to be Very mindful with where to put her. Usually I put her Under my chair. The chairs there couldn't fit my Golden Retriever breed of dog, and so the next option was to put her under the table. Since we had 5 people it was impossible for her with the bottom claw of the table to be seated at a table since all of our feet would be there, and that claw prevented her from laying tucked under the table. The ONLY option I had was to put her next to me, which is Not an option for me. After we waited a good while, I had to ask with my mom taking turns what the update was to sit outside. I went and asked the lady that, and she said "give me one minute to find out". She never updated us, until I had to ask a 3rd time. They said they wouldn't be able to serve outside because they wouldn't be able to keep track of people and no one was working outside even though there was a Large family out there already. My mom went inside to ask a question and they seated us. But they seated us at a table in the Middle of the restaurant with the chairs and everything after being asked for a booth, and waiting awhile. Not only did this create an unsafe working area, if the dog isn't tucked under the table, or chair, people can fall on her, pet her, step on her, exc... plus a lot of people see a dog, and they start treating us like a show. We NEEDED a booth Basically, and absolutely NO one was able to help us since when i tried to ask about getting one, the waitress said give "me one minute". And never came back to my knowledge. The only people who were able to help us was the manager Jesse, and our server Cathy. One of them seated us at an accessible booth that's been OPEN ever since we were placed at that other inaccessible table. We should have never been treated the way we were treated by the front desk waitresses, and it not only makes the business look bad, it makes the customers not want to eat there. I was disgusted and repulsed at how I was treated for having a disability when it should NEVER be an issue. Cathy, thank you for everything and you better win this dumb competition because you are one of the only people who deserves it honestly. The amount of customers coming in and out is a lot, and there is a lot of noise, and you just handle your job so well, I could NEVER do what you do, and you deserve the best. Same with you Jesse manager. You were very kind. I KNOW how crazy working at that mall the Block is. I used to work at that mall and It is CRAZY 24/7. (Expect when it rains terribly)! On a plus, the food was some of the best food I've eaten in my life. Scenery is great with the theming of the restaurant and there are fun things to do like pick songs from the online jukebox, to the bull riding.
