My son is at UCI across the City drive from the outlet mall in orange. Not wanting hospital cafeteria food i walked a few blocks to the saddle ranch. Picked the saddle ranch because they serve brunch foods and I was in the mood for brunch more than lunch. Walked in, the hostess station was open so I walked to the restroom and then returned. After a few minutes I was acknowledged and offered my choice of a booth, bar, or outside patio seating. I sat down and the bartender came over to take my drink order. Returned with my drink and took my food order. I wanted French toast, eggs, and bacon. The menu had a pancake combo, French toast, and offered sides of bacon and eggs. My server/bartender offered to figure something out and when my food arrived it was everything that I ordered. Food came out and was good, not great. The scrambled eggs were somewhat overcooked, but the bacon and French toast were solid. The vanilla-cinnamon butter was really good. When she brought me the check she had charged me the same price as the pancake combo but had basically substituted French toast for the pancakes. This saved me quite a bit of money compared to ordering the French toast with side orders of eggs and bacon. Thank you, I appreciate you doing that. Greeted promptly and politely by three servers and then led to my table by a very beautiful young lady. My selected (by the gentleman up front) table had a tray on it and was wet. The girl seated me and then went to grab towels to clean it. Two issues: They didn't ask me if I wanted a high table, booth or a low table. This is my second time here and they did the same thing. Last time I asked to be moved this time I didn't want the hassle. I would've preferred a low one because the high table becomes uncomfortable after a while for me. Secondly, there were several empty tables around so to put me at a dirty one didn't make sense. Now to my food: I hadn't eaten all day because I had to have a test that required fasting. It was scheduled late afternoon so you can imagine at 5:30pm I was famished. I just ordered something light, Thai lettuce wrap and a cup of chicken tortilla soup. Both were delicious. I ate my soup tasted one of the wraps and then "wrapped" the rest of it to go home. My server, Heydi was amazing even though she was busy she checked on me and made sure that I was okay. She was also very personable like she knew you. A gentleman also came by and checked on me. I believe he was a manager I didn't catch his name. He had a nice smile and was very kind. First time coming here, and I love the cute western theme! Also, they have a mechanical ball so if you're into that 10 out of 10. We sat at the bar and we greatly enjoyed it. They have TVs all around playing music videos. There are lots of different menu options, which is a great choice. If people are into a variety of different things I feel like you can find a great food choice for anyone. Drinks at the bar, were delicious and portion size were great! Also, the bartenders were really kind although very busy service was great. I ordered the three mini cheeseburgers and I was so obsessed with the fact that they were so cute and tiny! I really like the atmosphere and setting of this place, reminds me of a western saloon. Great selection of music too, playing the greatest hits of the 90s and 2000s. Took me way back to my undergrad days. I opted for the original burger, which was pretty good and a sizable portion I might add. We've passed by this place many times and finally decided to check it out during our most recent trip to the Outlets of Orange. They offer a happy hour until 6pm with 30% off appetizers and drinks if you sit at the bar or the tables right in front of it. We arrived around 5:30pm on a Friday and were seated right away. We ordered the loaded potato skins, the BBQ pork rib appetizer (which came with fries), and the spinach and artichoke dip served in a bread bowl with chips. We also tried the spiked honey lemonade. Had lunch here on a Friday. It wasn't very busy, but we were only seconds away from walking out before the waitress finally came and got our drink order after we waited for quite some time after being seated. As you can see from my review history, most of my reviews, virtually all of them, are positive. Sometimes a business goes above and beyond and the experience is amazing and sometimes it's just good, but I try to take a glass half full approach. With that said, I'm struggling to find Anything positive about my first visit here. We were seated promptly on arrival but as soon as we got menus, it was at least 15 minutes before anyone came to ask for drinks or appetizers. We ordered both and it took another 15 minutes to get two waters and a soda. We ordered steak nachos and a barbecue chicken salad. Neither one of these are complex orders and we didn't ask for any special preparation. I don't know why it took 45 minutes to get the salad and another 20 to 30 minutes for the nachos. I recorded a video of the restaurant just to demonstrate that it was virtually empty so it wasn't as if there was a huge rush. I did go to the bathroom while I was waiting for the food and saw that our server was camped out back texting on his phone. The salad was decent, although it included onion strings, which were pretty much nonexistent or just crumbles. Overall, it was decent at best. The nachos were $36 because they added $13 to add steak and $ for guacamole. Maybe it was Wagyu beef that they used and the avocados or handcarried from Mexico And freight was super expensive. That was the most expensive plate of nachos I've ever had. As you can see in the picture, the chips were over browned because it was probably sitting on the past in the kitchen for far too long. I really wanted to like this place but unfortunately it was far below expectations. Thank goodness the nachos were on happy hour so they were reduced by 30%, but regular pricing would've been the full $36. Wow. read more

Hello, My wife, toddler, and I were shopping at The Block on Saturday, 9/6, and decided to end the evening with a nice family meal. We noticed Saddle Ranch looked about a quarter full, so we stopped in since other restaurants had a 45-minute wait. After a short wait at the host stand, we were seated near the restrooms and greeted promptly by our server, who was very kind and attentive. We placed our full order right away (two Space Dusts, a kids' chicken tender, an appetizer chicken tender, and sweet potato fries) at 8:30 p.m., but our food didn't arrive until around 9:00-9:15 p.m. Thankfully, we had brought snacks and activities to keep our son occupied. While there was a large party in the restaurant, I noticed they were already eating when we sat down, so it was surprising to wait nearly 40 minutes for chicken tenders and fries. I understand ticket times, but this seemed excessive. By the time the food arrived, the tenders were cold and the fries soggy. We ate them because, at that point, I didn't want to risk waiting another 30 minutes. I ended up closing out our $66 check and boxing them up, knowing I could reheat the tenders later at home in the air fryer. Unfortunately, no one from the team checked on our table after the food was delivered. What left me most disappointed wasn't just the long wait, but the lack of acknowledgement from management. I wasn't looking for anything comped. I simply would have appreciated recognition of the delay and a sense of leadership presence. The experience made me feel like both the FOH and BOH teams weren't being supported or guided effectively. I share this not to complain, but in the hope that ownership and leadership take a closer look at how the team is being led. There was no presence of a manager in our experience. A little more care and accountability could make a big difference for guests. This really bummed me out and I don't think we'll be back. read more

The customer service at Saddle Ranch rivals a 5 star restaurant. I booked a large party luncheon for 30 people after meeting and emailing with their event coordinator Dana Thordsen. I told her I wanted to limit our total out the door price to $35 per person or less. I also told her that due to time constraints we would need all of the meals served within 20 minutes of our arrival. She helped me customize their regular menu by alerting me to meals in the salad, wrap, and sandwich sections that would fall within our budget. She emailed, texted me, and called prior to our event and a few days prior, I was able to give her a list of all of our orders. She also let me know that on the day of the event, Cesar, wouid be the manager, who was our contact person. When we arrived, several tables had been connected into a U shape, allowing us all to sit together. Cesar introduced himself to us and made sure that all items were delivered as requested since we had a few cancellations and some orders had to be packed to go. Our wait staff was top notch, friendly, and had all of our food and drinks delivered within the requested time. We had prearranged seating that corresponded with our menu request, but due to some changes even the people in the wrong seats, received their meals with no problems. The restaurant delivered and started us off with the most amazing mini jalapeño corn muffins and a whipped honey butter. We ended the meal with an enormous cotton candy that looked so whimsical. Came here on a Friday night with our party of 4. Got seated right away which we loved. Our waitress is extremely sweet and gave a moment to serve us our drinks while we explore the menu. We order a handful of steaks and burgers. I ordered a Filet Mignon medium rare with veggies and a side of baked potato - loaded. As I was sipping my drink and catching up, my stomach started growling because the food hasn't come in 40 mins. Heck my baked potato was larger than my steak! What? The filet was ok, honestly nothing to brag about being so small. But an $4 extra for a loaded potato for only sour cream and chives? After dinner we took a stroll to the bull where there's a handful of people riding the bull. Been to a couple other Saddle Ranch locations... my take on this one. Large space with multiple TV's for your sports viewing pleasure. Crew / staff working up in there are absolutely awesome. Very attentive and righteously courteous. Then... there is the food. Huge portions (especially the salads) and while maybe not on a gourmet level, it's still delish. Nachos? Check. Our server was amazing! Just a big let down on my food. Was it my mistake to order baby back ribs from a place not "technically " a bbq joint? Sure, my bad. Was it a mistake to serve me, at a minimum, day old ribs? Yeah. I asked for them without sauce - server said "dry rub only"... I said yes! Hoping that maybe they knew what they are doing! First, our server, Viviann could not have been sweeter or more considerate. My review has nothing to do with her service. She was excellent. We arrived just after 11Am. Only a few tables occupied. Asked for a table for 9; reasonable that they needed a few mins to set up the table. 20-mins later we were seated. Seated for about 15-mins before our kids and drink order was taken. 20-mins later our drinks were served. 20-mins after that the kids pancakes were served. Just kidding, 1 kid pancake breakfast and burger were served. The other kid pancake breakfast was served 15-mins later (pancakes?!?!). Finally the adult food order was taken, about 90-mins after we were seated the first adult order was served. 15-mins after that the rest of us got our food. We waited five minutes before we we acknowledged another ten to be seated at a high table next to the maintenance room with its door wide open. I understand needing to seat fairly for servers. However we passed 1/2 dozen empty tables and saw probably ten more further in the restaurant that were open. Was there a manager on duty. If so what was he doing. read more

Friendly service, fun decor and plenty of TV's to watch sports. A fun place with a mechanical bull and ranch style decor, good for a night out with friends or a large group. We ordered the half rack of ribs with BBQ sauce and the the Prime Rib and received the food pretty quickly after ordering. The ribs were very yummy and just fall off the bone tender. They only come with either dry rub or BBQ sauce, no other flavors. The prime rib was ordered medium rare, this was tasty but definitely overcooked. Each item came with two sides, we got the asparagus, which were good, the Sautéed Spinach was lacking flavor, seemed just blanched and the Garlic mashed potatoes were also a bit plain and not very garlicky. I highly recommend coming here! My wife and I moved out to Anaheim recently and have been here twice and both times food and service have been outstanding! Our bartender Chris took great care of us, even with the bar full of people he was on top of everything without us having to ask for anything.
