My son is at UCI across the City drive from the outlet mall in orange. Not wanting hospital cafeteria food i walked a few blocks to the saddle ranch. Picked the saddle ranch because they serve brunch foods and I was in the mood for brunch more than lunch. Walked in, the hostess station was open so I walked to the restroom and then returned. After a few minutes I was acknowledged and offered my choice of a booth, bar, or outside patio seating. I sat down and the bartender came over to take my drink order. Returned with my drink and took my food order. I wanted French toast, eggs, and bacon. The menu had a pancake combo, French toast, and offered sides of bacon and eggs. My server/bartender offered to figure something out and when my food arrived it was everything that I ordered. Food came out and was good, not great. The scrambled eggs were somewhat overcooked, but the bacon and French toast were solid. The vanilla-cinnamon butter was really good. When she brought me the check she had charged me the same price as the pancake combo but had basically substituted French toast for the pancakes. This saved me quite a bit of money compared to ordering the French toast with side orders of eggs and bacon. Thank you, I appreciate you doing that. The restaurant wasn't very crowded but the service was a little slow, both the lack of someone at the hostess station and the kitchen. I might come back, as long as I am not in a hurry. read more

Greeted promptly and politely by three servers and then led to my table by a very beautiful young lady. My selected (by the gentleman up front) table had a tray on it and was wet. The girl seated me and then went to grab towels to clean it. Two issues: They didn't ask me if I wanted a high table, booth or a low table. This is my second time here and they did the same thing. Last time I asked to be moved this time I didn't want the hassle. I would've preferred a low one because the high table becomes uncomfortable after a while for me. Secondly, there were several empty tables around so to put me at a dirty one didn't make sense. Now to my food: I hadn't eaten all day because I had to have a test that required fasting. It was scheduled late afternoon so you can imagine at 5:30pm I was famished. I just ordered something light, Thai lettuce wrap and a cup of chicken tortilla soup. Both were delicious. I ate my soup tasted one of the wraps and then "wrapped" the rest of it to go home. My server, Heydi was amazing even though she was busy she checked on me and made sure that I was okay. She was also very personable like she knew you. A gentleman also came by and checked on me. I believe he was a manager I didn't catch his name. He had a nice smile and was very kind. Although it wasn't a five for the above reasons, I did have a good experience. I also needed to add that my server decided to treat me to a complimentary desert. It was not something I would've chosen, but the gesture was very kind. The dessert was ok, I ate a portion of it, the ice cream and fresh fruit part. read more

Visited here for Valentine's before our movie date. I forgot how busy restaurants are every year during Vday lol .. Parking: This spot is located in the OC Block. There is a large parking lot. Just like any other outlet, finding a spot can be difficult, especially on the weekends and during the holidays. Ambiance/Environment: We visited at night. It was extremely busy inside. No one was seated outside when we checked in. They have a large space. It's pretty dark inside during dinner. There are two bars with plenty of indoor seating. The bull machine is in the back of the restaurant. Service: They were definitely understaffed. We were told wait time for a table will be 45 min. We were offered the bar instead. There was only one server at the bar. He was nice and courteous. Throughput took a while after ordering as the kitchen was backed up. Food: 1) Monster Platter - This included baby back ribs, onion rings, sweet potatoe fries, mini sliders (4), chicken strips (3), and 4 different sauces. This is listed under their appetizers, but it was the perfect amount for my bf and I. We enjoyed every food item. Make sure to dip bc the sauces were so flavorful! 2) Creamy Spinach & Artichoke Dip - I ordered this bc I was expecting it to be a small portion. I was definitely wrong lol. The sour dough bread was big and filled with the dip. There was also a generous amount of chips. The dip was so creamyyy! 3) Brussel Sprouts - Our server gave this to us on the house in recovery for the wait time. My bf loves Brussel sprouts, so he really appreciated this! 4) French Fries - The servers also gave this to us on the house. I originally asked to sub the sweet potatoe fries with regular fries, but the order was already in process at the time. I really appreciated their recovery! The fries tasted as expected, but the ranch dip made it better! Pricing: Prices are high $$$ as expected. This is our second time here. We left fulfilled and satisfied, despite the wait. read more

I made a reservation to bring my team for lunch this past Sunday. I was so grateful for the online reservation system. It was extremely easy. Casey greeted me at the door, and took me to our table before anyone else arrived. While I waited, he continued to check in. All but one of my party canceled or didn't show up. He allowed us to stay at the table and continue to deliver excellent service. Super grateful for our experience, and in planning to bring my team there for lunch again. Will definitely be asking for Casey! read more

First time coming here, and I love the cute western theme! Also, they have a mechanical ball so if you're into that 10 out of 10. We sat at the bar and we greatly enjoyed it. They have TVs all around playing music videos. There are lots of different menu options, which is a great choice. If people are into a variety of different things I feel like you can find a great food choice for anyone. Drinks at the bar, were delicious and portion size were great! Also, the bartenders were really kind although very busy service was great. I ordered the three mini cheeseburgers and I was so obsessed with the fact that they were so cute and tiny! It did take quite a while to get our food, but we understand that it was a busy evening so we didn't mind it too much. We took note that they have happy hour so we look forward to coming here and enjoying some food and drinks then as well . read more

I've had this spot bookmarked for a while! I'm excited to finally get to try it. With all the great reviews, it has to be a good one right? I like the vibe of this place! It's casual and they had classic rock playing on the tv's. Love that! The booths are very comfortable. I ordered the Grilled Salmon Salad. It was very fresh. The salmon tasted good and was cooked well. I liked the strawberry and nuts. It was a lot of spinach though. A mountain of spinach is too much for me lol 9/10 The truffle Mac and cheese was okay. It was missing some salt. Tasted off for me. It was alright. Could have been better. 7/10 Hummus trio was very fresh. Each hummus in the trio was yummy. The carrots and celery were great! And the warm pita was delicious. 10/10 My husband got the ribeye. He enjoyed it, and ate every bite. He also liked the veggies and tots. 10/10 Service was fine. Our waitress did a good job. read more

This is conveniently located at the Block in Orange where you can shop while working up an appetite. Had dinner here with family. Ordered the fish tacos. It came with 2 tacos, cilantro rice, beans, and chips. It was a massive portion so you could potentially share it. Also, had the candy bar ice cream and my oh my was it delicious! Service was great! Had one waiter for a party of 20 and he was amazing! He was quick to get our order and refills. The lighting is dim and the seating is spacious. There's a mechanical bull that you could ride too. Overall, great experience from the food to the service. Will definitely come back! read more

if you haven't had brunch at Saddle Ranch, you're seriously missing out. I'm telling you, this place rips. First off, the vibe is wild--in the best way possible. It's like Old West meets bottomless mimosas. There's a mechanical bull just hanging out in the corner like it's no big deal, and everyone's just vibing. Now, let's talk food. I got the steak medium rare and it was absolutely dialed in. Like, perfect crust, juicy center, seasoned like whoever's back there took it personally. I've had steaks at "fancy" steakhouses that don't even come close to this. And then there's Beca, our waitress. Top tier. No joke. This girl was operating on another frequency. Super attentive, cool as hell, knew the menu like the back of her hand, and somehow made you feel like you've known her for years. The kind of server that makes the whole experience better just by being awesome at her job. Honestly, Saddle Ranch crushed it. Great energy, bomb food, and staff that actually gives a damn. I'll be back probably to ride the bull after round two of steak and tequila. read more

I really like the atmosphere and setting of this place, reminds me of a western saloon. Great selection of music too, playing the greatest hits of the 90s and 2000s. Took me way back to my undergrad days. I opted for the original burger, which was pretty good and a sizable portion I might add. The it was very delectable because you can taste a char-broiled I especially love the complimentary biscuits that come with cinnamon and sugar butter. The service was excellent and very friendly and I'm definitely coming back for more. read more

We've passed by this place many times and finally decided to check it out during our most recent trip to the Outlets of Orange. They offer a happy hour until 6pm with 30% off appetizers and drinks if you sit at the bar or the tables right in front of it. We arrived around 5:30pm on a Friday and were seated right away. We ordered the loaded potato skins, the BBQ pork rib appetizer (which came with fries), and the spinach and artichoke dip served in a bread bowl with chips. We also tried the spiked honey lemonade. The serving sizes were generous, and everything tasted like standard American bar food -- nothing particularly memorable. They have a mechanical bull, which probably is probably pretty lively later in the evening. Overall, we're glad we gave it a shot, but it's not a place we'd rush back to. read more

This review is for July 6 at 9:30pm. I totally forgot our servers name but she was soo cute and funny! My bf and i love coming here for dinner and drinks. We ordered the spinach and cheese dip which comes in a bread bowl. Soo delicious ! Main entrees we got the ribs deal with two sides it was enough food for us since we ordered an appetizer (: we also got a large cocktail to share the Arizona sunset which comes in this big glass cup! They're not cheap with their alcohol either. They also gave us a complimentary garlic edamame which was so different from the ones I've had but it was so good. It's always such a good time when we go! Reasonable price for great food! read more

Had lunch here on a Friday. It wasn't very busy, but we were only seconds away from walking out before the waitress finally came and got our drink order after we waited for quite some time after being seated. The waitress was apologetic for the wait. We ordered our food when our drinks arrived, and we got it in a timely manner. My burger and tots were excellent, and my girlfriend's buffalo chicken salad was really good. At the conclusion of our meal, our waitress provided us with a dessert that was "on the house." She said the dessert was free just for "stopping in today," or was it because she knew we had to wait? Hmmm. Either way, she was nice and seemed genuine, and when my girlfriend inquired about her tattoos, she lit up as she gave a brief explanation of what her tattoos mean. Oh, the interior of this restaurant is really cool! read more

Honestly, so disappointed in this place. Service has always been slow so if I go, I expect that. Today was another thing. My family and I walked in and we weren't greeted for approx 5 min. Someone finally came over and said they were gonna take someone's order and then come right back to seat us. No joke- 20 minutes later (after talking to the bar tender), he came to seat us. We sat waiting for another 10 minutes And then the bar tender came to take our order. It was happy hour so before I ordered, we wanted to confirm happy hour was still on. He had the audacity to say it's for the bar area only. We had kids with us and weren't going to sit at the bar so we asked if an exception could be made- he reluctantly went to ask his manager who said no. Absolutely awful customer service. We left! Will not ever be coming back here. read more

Fair enough experience! Came with family and the food portions were generous for everyone. I enjoyed my food, having not had sandwiches for a while, and happy to have been able to order tots instead of fries with them instead. We got a couple drinks as well, but needed to order extra shots for some of the cocktails due to it tasting a bit lacking. Though a lot, the food came late, the service was slow, and it just overall felt understaffed. Due to that, it seemed like the staff just seemed unhappy? Not mean, just not happy. We went during the day, so I don't know how the night excitement would be, but it's decorated as you expect it is when looking in from outside (incredibly yeehaw). read more

We went to the movie theater for my husband's birthday last week at The Block and swung by here for a steak lunch. Right off the bat, Chris the bartender served us immediately. He was so attentive and friendly. He knew we were on a keto diet and couldn't have bread so he brought us over garlicky edamame to snack on while our steak was being prepared. It was so delicious! The ribeye was cooked to perfection at medium rare and the chimichurri sauce had a lot of tasty flavors. The veggies were a solid too. Kathy the waitress helped us out as well and she was just as down to earth and helpful. Gerry, the manager came by our table and made sure we were happy. He was such a nice guy. The entire staff were real kind people. Thank you so much we are so coming back! read more

As you can see from my review history, most of my reviews, virtually all of them, are positive. Sometimes a business goes above and beyond and the experience is amazing and sometimes it's just good, but I try to take a glass half full approach. With that said, I'm struggling to find Anything positive about my first visit here. We were seated promptly on arrival but as soon as we got menus, it was at least 15 minutes before anyone came to ask for drinks or appetizers. We ordered both and it took another 15 minutes to get two waters and a soda. We ordered steak nachos and a barbecue chicken salad. Neither one of these are complex orders and we didn't ask for any special preparation. I don't know why it took 45 minutes to get the salad and another 20 to 30 minutes for the nachos. I recorded a video of the restaurant just to demonstrate that it was virtually empty so it wasn't as if there was a huge rush. I did go to the bathroom while I was waiting for the food and saw that our server was camped out back texting on his phone. The salad was decent, although it included onion strings, which were pretty much nonexistent or just crumbles. Overall, it was decent at best. The nachos were $36 because they added $13 to add steak and $ for guacamole. Maybe it was Wagyu beef that they used and the avocados or handcarried from Mexico And freight was super expensive. That was the most expensive plate of nachos I've ever had. As you can see in the picture, the chips were over browned because it was probably sitting on the past in the kitchen for far too long. I really wanted to like this place but unfortunately it was far below expectations. Thank goodness the nachos were on happy hour so they were reduced by 30%, but regular pricing would've been the full $36. Wow. read more

read more

I've been a big fan of Saddle Ranch especially at the WeHo and the old Costa Mesa locations. Does the Saddle Ranch @ Orange live up to the expectations? Let's find out! Came here on a Friday night with our party of 4. Got seated right away which we loved. Our waitress is extremely sweet and gave a moment to serve us our drinks while we explore the menu. We order a handful of steaks and burgers. I ordered a Filet Mignon medium rare with veggies and a side of baked potato - loaded. As I was sipping my drink and catching up, my stomach started growling because the food hasn't come in 40 mins. Finally, in the 45th minute, our food finally came.. how was that possible when the restaurant was less than half empty on a Friday night? At first glance, my filet mignon looks small and sad. Heck my baked potato was larger than my steak! What? The filet was ok, honestly nothing to brag about being so small. But an $4 extra for a loaded potato for only sour cream and chives? After dinner we took a stroll to the bull where there's a handful of people riding the bull. The vibe here was turned down many notches and just wasn't the same lit crowd as compared to the other locations! Come here for a chill night with not a lot of expectations. For more of a turn up crowd, look into Saddle Ranch in Weho! read more

Been to a couple other Saddle Ranch locations... my take on this one. Large space with multiple TV's for your sports viewing pleasure. Crew / staff working up in there are absolutely awesome. Very attentive and righteously courteous. Then... there is the food. Huge portions (especially the salads) and while maybe not on a gourmet level, it's still delish. Nachos? Check. Aforementioned salads? Check. I loved the shrimp and they were pretty large. Definitely worth a repeat visit!!! read more

My hubby wanted a birthday steak and picked Saddle Ranch for its vibe. He wasn't disappointed. We had a great meal that was delicious and everything was on point. Hello, My wife, toddler, and I were shopping at The Block on Saturday, 9/6, and decided to end the evening with a nice family meal. We noticed Saddle Ranch looked about a quarter full, so we stopped in since other restaurants had a 45-minute wait. After a short wait at the host stand, we were seated near the restrooms and greeted promptly by our server, who was very kind and attentive. We placed our full order right away (two Space Dusts, a kids' chicken tender, an appetizer chicken tender, and sweet potato fries) at 8:30 p.m., but our food didn't arrive until around 9:00-9:15 p.m. Thankfully, we had brought snacks and activities to keep our son occupied. While there was a large party in the restaurant, I noticed they were already eating when we sat down, so it was surprising to wait nearly 40 minutes for chicken tenders and fries. I understand ticket times, but this seemed excessive. By the time the food arrived, the tenders were cold and the fries soggy. We ate them because, at that point, I didn't want to risk waiting another 30 minutes. I ended up closing out our $66 check and boxing them up, knowing I could reheat the tenders later at home in the air fryer. Unfortunately, no one from the team checked on our table after the food was delivered. What left me most disappointed wasn't just the long wait, but the lack of acknowledgement from management. I wasn't looking for anything comped. I simply would have appreciated recognition of the delay and a sense of leadership presence. The experience made me feel like both the FOH and BOH teams weren't being supported or guided effectively. I share this not to complain, but in the hope that ownership and leadership take a closer look at how the team is being led. There was no presence of a manager in our experience. A little more care and accountability could make a big difference for guests. This really bummed me out and I don't think we'll be back. read more

Friendly service, fun decor and plenty of TV's to watch sports. A fun place with a mechanical bull and ranch style decor, good for a night out with friends or a large group. We ordered the half rack of ribs with BBQ sauce and the the Prime Rib and received the food pretty quickly after ordering. The ribs were very yummy and just fall off the bone tender. They only come with either dry rub or BBQ sauce, no other flavors. The prime rib was ordered medium rare, this was tasty but definitely overcooked. Each item came with two sides, we got the asparagus, which were good, the Sautéed Spinach was lacking flavor, seemed just blanched and the Garlic mashed potatoes were also a bit plain and not very garlicky. Our server was friendly and the rest of the serving staff were also attentive when needed. They provided a complementary dessert for the holiday which was a nice touch. read more

My family and I were in town for spring break and we're going to meet up with some family to catch up and grab some dinner. We were staying at the Knotts Berry Hotel so it was fairly close of a meet up spot (about 20 minutes away). I can honestly say this was the best meal we had while in California. We were lucky enough to catch the last hour or so of HH and received 30% off all appetizers and drinks. We took advantage I ordered a gold rush drink, which is basically a margarita in a giant carafe. Couldn't beat the price! As for food we all decided on apps, we split the monster platter which had ribs, sliders, chicken tenders, onion rings, and sweet potato fries including alllll the sauces. We also split the Buffalo cauliflower, crispy Brussel sprouts, and the hummus dip trio. All the food was tasty. By far the BEST ribs I have had. They were so tender they legitimately the tastiest ribs I've ever had. Our server was on top of everything and it was a great experience. I will come back every time we are in the area. So worth it and a great HH price for anyone. read more

The customer service at Saddle Ranch rivals a 5 star restaurant. I booked a large party luncheon for 30 people after meeting and emailing with their event coordinator Dana Thordsen. I told her I wanted to limit our total out the door price to $35 per person or less. I also told her that due to time constraints we would need all of the meals served within 20 minutes of our arrival. She helped me customize their regular menu by alerting me to meals in the salad, wrap, and sandwich sections that would fall within our budget. She emailed, texted me, and called prior to our event and a few days prior, I was able to give her a list of all of our orders. She also let me know that on the day of the event, Cesar, wouid be the manager, who was our contact person. When we arrived, several tables had been connected into a U shape, allowing us all to sit together. Cesar introduced himself to us and made sure that all items were delivered as requested since we had a few cancellations and some orders had to be packed to go. Our wait staff was top notch, friendly, and had all of our food and drinks delivered within the requested time. We had prearranged seating that corresponded with our menu request, but due to some changes even the people in the wrong seats, received their meals with no problems. The restaurant delivered and started us off with the most amazing mini jalapeño corn muffins and a whipped honey butter. We ended the meal with an enormous cotton candy that looked so whimsical. I highly recommend you contact Dana if you have a large party. mailto:dthordsen@thesaddleranch.com read more

The good: They restaurant is very large and has both an indoor and outdoor seating area. Inside, there's a mechanical bull you can ride. I got the pancake combo with sausage patty and eggs. It came on a neat giant silver platter. The pancakes had a great flavor. My toddler ate a ton of the eggs. The waitress was friendly and gave my kid free cotton candy (her first time having it)! We got free bread as well as a jalapeño corn bread. The interior has a western saloon feel and the exterior is unique with figurines. This was one of the few sit down restaurant options in this outlet. The bad: The free bread didn't seem the freshest though it came warmed up. The sweet potato fries came with a cinnamon dip which was fun but it was too sweet considering the fries are already naturally sweet. Something zesty, acidic or different would balance the sweet fry better. The food isn't too special to me but the ambience is uniquely themed and very American. The interesting: I first heard about this place from YouTuber Heath from the Vlog Squad. They'd go to the LA location and pre-game or end their nights here after an event. read more

Honestly the food here was so fresh and hot! The reason I'm giving three stars is because of the service upon arrival. As we entered, it took a while for someone to take our name down and greet us. Then when the hostess finally came she did not have a good demeanor at all! She was a lil aggressive and in a rush when we finally sat down. We wanted to sit somewhere else and she gave us a hard time. We just sat at the table because we did not want to bother her anymore. However, Azel was our waiter and he was fantastic! He made up for the poor customer service from the hostess. He was humorous, amicable, and very easy going. Very chill guy. The food was very good and hot! I really enjoyed the food. I had the salmon petite with baked potato and sautéed spinach. The jalapeño muffins and biscuits with the sweet butter was GREAT! Flavorful and cooked to perfection. The decor was decent but the restaurant could have been cleaned a lil better. I know it was short staff but the restrooms were very filthy. That should be a priority no matter what. However, nice atmosphere wasn't too crazy loud or turnt on a Sunday. Wish someone would have rode the bull though. Overall, I like Saddle Ranch, first time coming to this location in the Orange outlets, which is very nice and good environment for Saddle Ranch. I may give this location another try. Azel really made the experience here good! read more

The service was super slow. I am talking over 30 minutes and the food was not hot when it arrived. I would have sent it back, but after waiting over 30 minutes, I didn't have time to wait again. I would have given 1-star but the food, even being cold, was decent. read more
