This was our first and last visit. The manager at this location did not have good customer service skills. He made our party feel awkward. We had a problem with our food so the super nice waitress said she'd talk to a manager about our situation. However, the manager ended up coming over to our table saying, "I heard you wanted to speak to a manager?" Even though the situation was brought up to him, he made it seem like we were the ones causing issues. Anyways, he said he'd give us a complementary gift card which we never received. And we waited about 15 minutes after we paid for our check for the gift card as well but no one brought it. This manager was not friendly in tone and responded with quick uninterested responses. As for the restaurant's busyness, it was a little below average of busy so I don't excuse a busy restaurant for his actions. It also seemed like he was avoiding our party at the end of our stay. This place has some astonishing food for a bar/restaurant. First of all, saddle ranch is 21 and up so if you're 21 don't go out with your friends here, or you will be left outside. The place itself has a pretty chill atmosphere, more on the loud side of the spectrum. What is interesting is that there's a mechanical bull inside the restaurant , which was pretty interesting since I never seen one inside before. That thing goes harder than your average mechanical bull in my opinion. Anyways, I wanted something non meaty and ordered a spinach dip. Honestly, the dip was really well made; the cheese, spinach, and chips were on point along with an IPA. But the amount I got for the price was less than I expected and it was so much calories for that little amount of food. I regret eating it, but hey gotta live life once in a while. Crowd: zero stars. These people make the crowd at the nearby Orange County jail look like respectable, well dressed clientele. They're stupid, is what I'm saying. Yelp: one star. They make you give it to them, so they have that going for them. Wow. In retrospect, I'm actually glad to have come here so that the bar of expectation could be lowered to a profound new low that I didn't know existed. Extremely disappointed in this place. Came here with reservations and although we added a few additional people to the original reservation, we still waited over 2 hours to be seated. The manager Ryan, did not honor our request to be seated inside and when we tried to correct the situation, he dismissed us as if we didn't matter! Manager John did try to accommodate (thus the 2 stars) by providing extra appetizers, drinks and bull rides, however, we were seated directly by the restroom, we only had one server for 18 people, we didn't have silverware until 20 minutes after being seated. The Block is full of great places, and the food here's pretty "meh." My mom's steak was really fatty, my hummous tasted watery and like it was pre-packaged, my veggies had freezer burn, and my water had some kind of black flake in it. My aunt ordered some kind of cocktail that she said was pretty good. Their cotton candy's alright, too, but there's a cotton candy stand right outside that's 1/2 the price and fresher. Not my first trip to Saddle Ranch, but the service this time was not as great as my previous visits. I went for brunch with a couple of my girlfriends and we asked to sit inside so I could watch football. The table they sat us at made it difficult to watch the game so I asked the hostess to change the channel of the tv over our table. She said she would take care of it. About 15 minutes later I asked our server to adjust it and got the same response. An hour later, after we had ordered and finished eating our food, and after I asked about 10 different employees to change the channel it was FINALLY changed. There are tons of TVs all over the restaurant and they were only showing two stations: my game and AWFUL music videos. It should not have taken over an hour and 10 people to change 1 TV screen. I spent nearly four hours here yesterday. A group of co-workers were having a "farewell" party for a colleague. By the end of the evening, we were a party of 10+ people. Both the food and service were excellent. I splurged and got the filet mignon. The steak was cooked to perfection. The only way I could have enjoyed it more is if I had grilled it myself. The guest of honor mentioned that her mixed drink was a little strong (I believe she had a Mai Thai that came in a small carafe with a straw). The ambience was about what I expected. The lighting was low and the music was very loud. I personally don't like having to shout to be heard, but the rest of my party seemed to be enjoying themselves. As the evening progressed, I came to appreciate the variety of music being played (different genres of music from the past 30 years, not just country). Went to the SaddleRanch today with family from out of town and I knew it was going to be busy since it was football Sunday and bottomless Mimosas and Bloody Mary's all morning till 3. Gave my name and made a reservation for 12 people, and it took 2 hours to get seated. Seriously, I know it's hard to make room for a party of 12 when everyone's trying to drink bottomless till 3 pm. Btw... we made the reservation at 1pm so I expected it to be longer than the hour wait that was given. After waiting the 1 hour and 40 minutes I asked if we are ever going to get seated because we wanted some of the bottomless fun that was being served. The manager asked if I could wait another 15 minutes and he would make sure we were well taken care of. So first off, Fourth of July was empty here, just a few patrons here and there, so when we showed up with a party of six we were expected to be seated, maybe not right away but not half an hour later... but anyway we just assumed maybe they were short on personnel, fine. after that it just went bad.... one mistake after another.... first waitress forgot my drink, we asked for chips and salsa we got it when the rest of food arrived, we asked for loaded baked potatoes we got regular baked potatoes, no toppings, we asked for béarnaise sauce we got Cabernet Demi-glazed, we asked for sauté veggies we got burnt raw cauliflower and broccoli, we asked for two kids menus we were told they ran out and only got one. I understand when the place is packed things happened but if there's barely any people... honestly it was very disappointing overall. The hostess said 15 min wait took 1hr and some minutes for them to call us and they had so many tables with dishes uncleaned and nobody trying to clean them the staff was trying to make due with what they could but still took 39 min to get our drinks just waters! And then when they brought our food it was cold already all the manager could say was sorry about that after they dropped off the food we never saw them check up on us again until we complained and they brought the check plus I got really bad indigestion from the food horrible service horrible food!! Don't waste time unless your here for drinks and are whatever about service! And it's pricey I would of got better service and any fast food joint and a quarter of the price! Mother's Day or Bust and this was a BUST!!!! A couple of years ago we went to the Citywalk location and had a pretty decent meal so when decision were being made we decided to go again, but try a new location. Reservations are simple online and convenient. Hostess was standing talking to another "Hostess" and ignored us as we walked up to the counter. Gave our names and were shortly seated. I realize this is a "bar" venue but the hard rock music videos were extremely loud and distracting from trying to carry on conversations. It was Mother's Day play some country music in a reasonable decibel. We were seated and it took quite some time before we saw a server. The place was busy, but not so busy we should have been waiting that long to meet our server. There were a lot of workers that seemed to be doing a lot of wondering and not very much working. We were given a basket of almost burnt dry biscuits and muffins. Neither of which were even close to tasty. Ordered an Arnold Palmer and an Iced Tea, the tea was so weak it barely tasted like tea and seemed like a splash of lemonade. Sent them back and just asked for water. Waitress was nice enough to bring us two mimosas free of charge, which should have been happening anyway(it being Mother's Day). Good thing we ordered two others previously which were highly overpriced (at $10 in a plastic cup) so it balanced out. Food, a "chopped" Cobb Salad barely cut up nothing "chopped" about it and barely and ham or turkey which is was supposed to contain. In fact, there was more lettuce than any other ingredients, way to overpriced again. Also ordered a steak, ordered the smaller option and was given/charged for a larger portion. I could have had a much better steak plenty of places for the price and extremely salted tots that came with the meal. Another person ordered a BBQ burger which came with no BBQ sauce and again extremely salted fries. Server checked on us once throughout our meal and then left for the day and the replacement wasn't any better. I have to say the best part of our meal was the towering cotton candy. When cotton candy is the best part of a $100 meal there is definitely a problem. Needless to say I won't go back. read more

I was very dissatisfied with this place I had there wings and a hamburger the wings were stale and cold I thought they were going to be hot wings but they tasted like barbecue it was gross. I the burger tasted like any normal burger you would get at any restaurant. I was sitting near the bar area but I was in the dinning area and a waiter dropped a drink from the bar area it fell to the ground and splashed all over me it fell on my head my hair was wet I told the manager and he didn't even offer a discount all he offered me was a cookie. We usually go on weekends which you would think they staff for but every time we have problems with the service. It doesn't seem to be the server is a bad server bud the support system there is bad. One time our server was afraid to go to the kitchen and ask how about food was coming because she said they would yell at her! We ended up cancelling the order because it was already 40mins late. Our last visit our food order was just nachos and they forgot the guacamole (which was an upsell we didn't really want) and forgot the salsa. By the time we did get our missing items we were halfway done with the nachos lol We asked the server what's up with the bad service he said "I have to make the drinks while the bartender takes a break" he was handling at least 4 tables. This place is a joke... once you arrive there's always a wait with open tables all the time the hostess are absolutely rude! When it's your turn for a table they seat you on one that's been open since you arrived it's ridiculous and there excuse has been they are short handed. Well if there short handed why did they seat me in the area they stated they were short handed in and make me wait 45 minutes when the table was open the entire time. I sat at the bar waiting for a table the bartender forgot my drink and once she made it I received a watered down 17.00 dollar drink. I reached out to corporate and I've yet to hear back.
