100% recommend Alpine Sterling!…read more I wanted to get my first set of skis, so I came in to simply try on boots and discuss options. All of the employees I chatted with were experienced, helpful, and super nice. They understood my thoughts on wanting to get a good first setup that will last and guaranteed I can bring back any purchased gear to discuss any concerns I have. I ended up buying new boots, skis, and bindings and am LOVING them! Really appreciate all of the staff here for taking the time to make good recommendations. Will be back to buy more in the future, for sure!

Prices were very fair and the quality of his merchandise was top notch. Chris was so kind and patient helping me get the gear I needed. He never tried to oversell me on anything even though he easily could have done so. He walked me around and helped me get everything that my husband would need to stay warm and have an epic time snowboarding. His passion and thoughtfulness shone through. He was answering phone calls, handling other customers and juggling me with ease. Super fantastic. Will come back to Sterling or Fairfax for any future needs. I later found out that Chris turned out to be the owner so fingers crossed he never retires. Side note -he has a sick Grateful Dead collection! Highly recommend visiting here.

I brought my daughter here for her first figure skates and the experience could not have gone any better. She walked out with a pair of great fitting skates, freshly sharpened, and a huge smile on her face. And all for a very low price, we couldn't be more satisfied and would highly recommend them to anyone.

The opening hours are limited but I was able to get in on a Saturday right after practice. Lots of families were there with the same idea. Just be prepared to be patient to find parking because the location is in a warehouse/garage district. The staff were very kind and helpful in showing me where the bats, batting helmets, gloves and other supplies were. Think about this place like a thrift store - some items are in great condition, some are passable and ok for a season, but you may have to lower your expectations if you are looking for super low prices. But knowing that some new bats are $100+ or even upwards of $250+ a pop, getting a decent one for 50% off retail is great when you don't have the luxury of waiting for sales. And if you are conservation minded like me, the fact that this stuff isn't just getting thrown out and can be used for others is a plus. They also obviously have softball, football, hockey, soccer, and other sport supplies in stock. And the store did not smell like a nasty locker room, which us a great sign.
