I picked up so take out burritos here. The restaurant is cute and clean inside. Service, the lady was nice, I spoke my broken Spanish with her. The burritos were huge and yummy. I got a couple of Carne Asada burritos. They were tasty, the salsas (red and green) were both good, red was more spicy. The menu also has a lot on there, breakfast, plates, tacos, burritos, etc. Credit cards accepted (I think with a small fee), parking in the front. read more

Checked in a few nights ago for dinner and the Patron George was a wonderful Host and Cook! I was super hungry attending a live performance at Golddiggers and Doordash was unable to deliver my food, so I crashed into Sabor Mexicano looking for high protein, salty and nutrient rich food to balance out the sweet and strong alcohol in my system and Sabor Mexicano most definitely delivered! I ordered an Asada Burrito with fresh Avocado added, and the burrito also include Rice, Black Beans, cilantro and onion, and fresh Salsa Verde and Roja on the side. I love that Sabor Mexicano has a rainbow of flavorful beverages to go with their fabulous burritos too! I ordered a Fresh Horchata and Mango Lemonade to go with with my Asada Burrito and the combination was Cielo en mi Boca ;0) I saved half my Burrito for my Bestie and he devoured it along with our yummy Aguas Frescas happily at Goldiggers too!! I definitely you recommend you drop in to experience Maravillosa Mexican Hospitality at it's mas fina!! 1st time here in LA so we chose an authentic place to eat. Very homey, clean, little restaurant in a small strip. Looks dirty on the outside but inside it is clean. Good service but only one person handling the customers and cooking food. Comfy feeling with casual ambiance. Ordered the huevos con chorizo and everything was wonderful. The flour tortillas are huge and delicious. The owner is very friendly and welcoming. I would recommend this place, the menu had something for everyone. I am not quite sure what the hype is about for this place. Everyone said that the place is good, we came after we went to a hike by the Hollywood sign, hoping for the hype to be there. the place was empty, the parking lot is small and shared with a lot of businesses and its in the middle of Hollywood so street parking is even more impossible. we luckily found parking, but this place the food was pricy for LA Mexican food, and it wasn't even that good. i'd say that the beans weren't cooked all the way, the chicken seems a bit old, and the waiters did not speak English and they were out of some stuff on the menu? it was middle of weekend at around 10a, so i was slightly confused. there is no bathroom for dine in, and also some items they have do not have price, and it would be easier if the waiter did speak English bc i was trying to ask about the other stuff and he was not able to answer and said sorry. overall, food isn't great or fresh for that fact, no bathroom, and pricy. would not come back not sure if they were better back then? but this was a miss read more

This restaurant is in the middle of a plaza that is pretty busy. I love the vibrant colors inside, the staff was accommodating and friendly & food portions were huge!! I was not expecting that. My friend got a Carne Asada burrito and she said that the Carne Asada was a bit tough to eat. I got Chilaquiles with a side of rice and beans, which you have to pay for separately. The food, the service/riming, the ambience, I mean everything is top notch. You wouldn't think you'd find such excellent Mexican food on Hollywood Boulevard. At first, I was a bit hesitant about this place but upon going inside I felt like I was in Mexico again. Specifically CDMX. We were greeted in Spanish probably because the waiter thought I was Spanish of which I was flattered because it forced me to speak Spanish. Food: The food was amazing! I was looking forward to a delicious soup but ended up getting sour chicken and thick vegetables that weren't even edible. There was no potatoes at all either?? We found this place to eat before going to a show at the Masonic Lodge. We had the Mocajete, which was plenty for 4 with rice, beans & handmade tortillas with it. Outstanding. It was amazing! The food is beyond amazing! We tried a bunch of different items on the menu. What pulled us to come in was the HANDMADE TORTILLAS! We had ceviche de camarón, sopa de res, arroz y frijol, and honestly, even their coffee was amazing! The service is fast and the gentleman in the front is friendly to LGBTQ+. Wow, wow. My fiancée found this spot on Yelp. I was hesitant at first because I hate being disappointed by Mexican spots, but man the flavor of all the food is 10/10. The chorizo is so tasteful and the frijoles (beans) have awesome flavor. We also ordered mole negro and it hit very close to home ( not as amazing as my moms) but hey, this is pretty dang close! The salsas are also really good, the tlayuda came with red and green (I loved the red) nice and spicy. I will definitely be coming back to try the torta next! read more

First of all why are they even up on UberEats, second, they could've informed us somehow that they did not have anything available, plus they're graded a "B". Food is tasty! There's is variety of items on the menu, from seafood to main typical dishes. Both the enchiladas and Chilakiles are very good. I've been here a few times and this is by far the best dish that I've liked. I will definitely continue to support this local business. Service is fast and quick service. Found this place in Yelp, looking for birria tacos in Hollywood. As a 64y.o., I have had my share of tacos , including in Mexico. I'm not overstating this... they were far and away THE. BEST. TACOS. I HAVE EVER HAD!!! The flavor of the steak, the melted mozzarella cheese, the homemade shells... and the dipping broth... the richness of the soup... OMG !!! I live in Orange County and will be here at minimum once a week for the rest of my life. Folks .. I don't post much, but Sabor Mexicano is worth your time. Delicious food! I had the birria tacos and my boyfriend had the carne asada burrito. Big burrito with high quality meat, juicy & tasty. Their salsas were very flavorful. The birria tacos are like quesadillas with cilantro and they give you a side of the birria broth, very delicious. I squeezed lime on my taco meat and broth. First, I was charged $25 even though the sign clearly stated that valet parking is $17 for the first 3 hours, and $25 after 3 hours. When I asked the valet attendant, he kept saying, "because you dined there," without giving any clear explanation. If it is actually a flat rate for restaurant guests, then that should be clearly stated upfront to customers. Second, when I got into my car, I noticed that someone had touched the navigation settings because the compass direction and display were different from what I normally use. I do not understand why there was any need to adjust or touch my navigation system at all. I really think the restaurant needs to improve and better manage its valet parking system. Honestly, it felt like I was being charged a random price just because I was told, "you dined there." If there is a flat valet rate for restaurant guests, that information should be clearly communicated upfront instead of leaving customers confused at the end.

Their prices are still very reasonable. I have 2 chivis, 2 tacos and an Agua de coco horchata. The arepas were good but the pork belly was a little too fatty (I know pork belly is always fatty) to the point the fat muted the flavored for the arepa a bit, but still delicious. The empanadas were great and as someone who lived in South America and ate empanadas every day, these really took me back to my Paraguay days. The squash blossoms were light and perfectly fried. Unfortunately my friends had gone to Funke the night before so they were comparing the squash blossoms and Funke won out, but they still liked Dama's! Small plates were enough for the 3 of us. Tried the Tlayuda Guelaguetza, Mamela Sampler, craving that Hot Oaxacan Chocolate (creamy and perfect sweetness) and even the complimentary chips with mole was amazing. My Mezcal drink, was made pretty strong too. Parking is a bit tight and difficult in the area, as we had to drive around for quite awhile to find parking in the neighborhood.

What upset me most was the overall lack of communication and attentiveness throughout the experience. It made what was supposed to be a special Mother's Day outing feel frustrating and disappointing. Sadly, this experience soured my impression enough that I don't see myself returning.

I tried the Hollenbeck and the Okie burritos on two separate occasions via pick up, as aforementioned, the service was quick, convenient and the pick up window is seamless, parking is located next to the structure and I haven't had problems getting there. Hollenbeck was good but I definitely enjoyed the Okie burrito more, I ordered the "original" size once and didn't seem to learn my lesson the second time, these burritos can feed two in Original size. They offer a "Mini" version which would be satisfactory for one person. My favorite thing about these burritos is how "home-made" they are, the salsas and meats are fresh and taste like they came out of an abuelitas kitchen. I still need to try the crunchy tacos and nachos which look great, I recommend trying this classic establishment at least once if you're in the area.
