AMAZING pupusas and service! I've tried a few spots in LA but this is my favorite so far! It was very clean and feels very homey. Definitely will be back! I got frijoles y queso and chicharrón con queso! 10/10!

The food was fantastic and the service was excellent! I had the Tamal de Pollo, and my husband enjoyed the Huevos de Jamón. It's a cozy neighborhood spot that's clearly a local favorite -- definitely worth a visit!

Stopped here after playing an escape room up the road. They're cash only but they do have an ATM inside. Now on to the food: We got the queso con loroco and revueltas pupusas. My friend and I agree, it's two thumbs up! The service was attentive and speedy. If you want an authentic pupusa, check out this spot.

Cumbia music blasting. The waitress promptly turned it down when I asked her to.

Discovered this gem thanks to yelp. I've actually traveled right past dozens of times. Walked in and asked what were the popular items. I was told the soup was best so I got the Caldo de Pata: a savory soup of tripe, beef foot, yucca and mixed veg. In a minute I got chips and salsa. The salsa had small cubes of avocado and was a perfect mix of spicy. Less then 10 minutes later my soup arrived piping hot The meat was tender and tasty and I thoroughly enjoyed the foot since I hadn't had it in over 10 years. It's true, the waitress doesn't speak much English. But she does her best to work with you and is very kind doing it. If she can't help, another guy comes out who speaks perfect English. Service was great from all and I hope to be back next time I'm in LA.

I've been coming here since high school and I'm 24 now. The food was always really good, service…read moretypically welcoming and friendly but always expensive. We came a couple of months ago and had their loaded yucca fries with carne asada as well as some pupusas. The meat on our fries felt really low quality-- the best way I could describe it was it tasting like frozen hamburger meat-- and gave us indigestion for the rest of the night, which was really disappointing to experience. Today we unfortunately experienced some really rude service. My bf ordered a plain water and we were given a fresco ensalada (no big deal, he likes it) We don't eat pork and ordered fried yucca on its own, just yucca frita. We were given a plate of yucca con chicharron :( I told the service we just ordered yucca frita and we were told that we did not specify that for her. I explained that we don't eat pork so we sent it back and were met with a displeasing look. I said we didn't want to yucca anymore since we had a lot of food already and she said "the kitchen already made it." So I said it was fine but just the yucca this time and she came back with the same exact plate just without the chicharron-- no visible plate change. Needless to say for the price, decline in food quality, and rude service, it's not worth coming back. At least not for a while.

I just moved back to LA and tried this place for the first time yesterday. The food was genuinely…read morereally good -- flavorful, comforting, and the pupusas immediately stood out. I enjoyed it so much that I came back again today after work specifically because I was craving them. The food once again did not disappoint. The servers I interacted with were kind and pleasant. However, today's experience left a sour note. When I walked in, I was the only customer in the restaurant. Every table was empty. I asked if I could sit at the corner table with the couch, and the man I spoke to made a face and told me it was only for groups. To be clear -- there were no other customers. Zero. So the response felt unnecessary and dismissive. After asking the servers, I found out that the man I spoke to is actually the owner. That made it more disappointing. Owners set the tone for their establishment, and hospitality should start at the top. There's no reason for a paying customer to feel brushed off -- especially when the restaurant is empty. Good food can bring people in, but good service is what makes them come back. I'll likely return because the pupusas are honestly that good, but I do hope there's more awareness about how guests are treated. Without customers choosing to spend their money there, no business survives -- no matter how great the food is.

We…read moreusually make the drive to North Hollywood, but decided to give this place a try--and it definitely did not disappoint! We started with the ensalada, which was refreshing and had just the right amount of sweetness. For pupusas, we ordered the revueltas, loroco con queso, and frijol con queso. We tried both corn and rice dough, and honestly, both were delicious. My personal favorite was the frijol con queso with the rice dough- so flavorful and perfectly cooked. The yuca frita was exactly how it should be: crispy on the outside, soft and fluffy on the inside. The chicharrón was cooked perfectly as well, and the homemade green salsa that the sweet lady helping us made was the perfect addition. She was so kind, welcoming, and always had a friendly smile, which made the experience even better. Another thing that really stood out was how clean the restaurant is. It's spacious, with plenty of seating whether you're coming with a large group, your family, or just stopping by for a meal on your own. We absolutely loved this place and will definitely be back. Next time we're bringing my Salvadoran in-laws- I have a feeling this place will get their authenticity approval too! Spanish!

Service was quick, there is a big dining room with plenty of seating in case you want to dine in, looked very clean. Massive pupusas with a lot of filling, not one of those restaurants that give you nothing but masa, these pupusas were legit. They come with Curtido and the usual salsa roja. So much flavor packed into these things, these are some of the best pupusas I've ever had, good size and they do not cheap us out on filling. Definitely try em if you're in the area! Parking on the street, or in the back very limited in the alley.

I've actually traveled to El Salvador before, so I've had the opportunity to experience the food there firsthand. Since coming back, I really haven't found many places that gave me that same authentic taste and feeling--until coming here. Everything we tried was amazing. The pupusas, beans, plantains, meats, and all the traditional flavors were on point. You can tell the food is prepared with that real homemade Salvadorian style. If you've been to El Salvador and know what authentic Salvadorian food is supposed to taste like, this place will bring back some memories. In my opinion, this is about as close as you're going to get without actually getting on a plane and going to El Salvador.
