The staff is very friendly, willing to answer questions, always in a good mood. It's just a breath of fresh air to come here. The food is amazing. I could inhale the entire menu. If they sold the sauce in gallon jugs, I would take two home with me every visit. The Pisco sours are top-notch, velvety with just a touch of tartness. Love it here. Will be back.

Nicole was outstanding and so knowledgeable about every entrée on the menu. Her pride and knowledge about what this restaurant had to offer was impressive and refreshing. Everything was so flavorful, fresh and uniquely fantastic. I ordered two entrées to go and wish I had taken more photographs than the ones I have to offer here. There's some type of green hot sauce they have that is enough to give this restaurant five stars alone. FRESH, flavorful and healthy. I cannot wait to go back. Part 2: we went back again tonight for dinner after going there for the first time for lunch. Again all of it was soo good. I HAVE to know the story now about why the street sign ended up being spelled "perubian" instead of Peruvian. Different staff this time, but equally as amazing and knowledgeable. Had such a nice time.

'traditional' tapas Gambas al Ajillo flavor aka less paprika please. Saudero tacos (a brisket confit suadero tacos with a chile jam, aguacate, serrano cruda, toasted sesame, fresnos and micro cilantro) We sat on the patio for a wonderful AZ spring evening. The service was great. I also enjoyed their extensive tequila and mezcal menu. The only downside is the parking -- it's pretty small and shared with Lou Malnati's next door!

This is by far a hidden gem! I stumbled upon this place while staying in downtown and was looking…read morefor ceviche and I found it! I got the empanadas which were out of this world, I'm not sure how they make them but they are pretty addicting. I can see why they're so popular. I also got their specialty ceviche which had pineapple and omg it was phenomenal. I bought my friend who also is a chef and they were also impressed. You can tell they put effort in every ingredient and you can taste the difference. I wish I'd lived closer otherwise I'd be there every weekend.

They'll also validate parking at the garage. We came for dinner before a show at the Mortgage Matchup Arena (which is just a quick 0.5 mile walk over). Happened to hit happy hour, which was just a few dollar savings, but nice. We tried the following: -Empanada Pabellon with Pernil: loved the plantains inside mixed the pork! -Empanada Colombiana Beef: good -Pollo and mango tostones: the tostones itself were a bit tough to chew on -Ceviche mixto: I've never had fried calamari with ceviche but it was nice and refreshing mixed with it! -Piña Tiradito: presentation was lovely and tasted just as great! I can never taste the fruit or make out the flavors for ciders and I'm a sucker for anything guava so was excited for the Sazon guava hibiscus cider, and while it was nice, sadly couldn't make out the flavors. Overall, cute space with bites to share and we'll be back as the burritos sounded good as well.

It was Saturday October 3rd. The day before our 18th anniversary. The wife and I enjoyed an early…read moremovie and then headed out to an early dinner. We didn't plan or book anything so we just decided on the type of food we wanted and googled. We originally chose somewhere else but could not get a reservation. Then we ran into Toro on google. The Lomo Saltado was the eye catcher here and what made us want to come here. We arrived roughly 40 mins ahead of time (didn't know traffics would be light). That was no problem. They sat us immediately. It was a nice day so we sat outside. It was a beautiful view of the golf course with the burning Toro sign adding a fun touch. Our waitress was a sweet young woman who was very knowledgeable of the menu. She answered every question as if she was cooking it all herself. We ordered a bottle of Sauvignon Blanc to start out. Once the bottle arrived we ordered our starters. We shared the Lomo Saltado and Empanadas. The empanadas were delicious, and the herb sauce on the side elevated the flavors. The Lomo Saltado was delicious on a bed of rice. My only disappointment is that traditional Lomo Saltado comes with Fries and lots of veggies. This was great, but I was hoping for those fries and veggies. I ordered the Red Snapper Fillets with Coconut Rice as my main course and my wife ordered the Lobster Fried Rice. We felt these would pair great with the white wine we were already enjoying. As stated in the picture, prawns were included with my dish but I had them put them on the side and my wife enjoyed them. The lobster came on the shell lying on top of the fried rice. My wife felt like that was a nice touch. She chopped up the prawns and mixed that in also. She loved it a lot. Even our waitress thought it was a nice add. My red snapper fillets came a top a bed of snap peas that were sliced up and in a pool of a coconut based sauce. This dish was amazing. I cannot rave enough about the snap peas in this dish. They brought the enter thing to life. The coconut rice was also amazing and cooked to perfection. I do feel like it could have benefited from having a bit of crispy rice mixed into it. I forget the name of the free dessert the waitress brought us, but it was amazing. It was billed as more of a soufflé but I found it to be more like a lava cake on a cookie shell. They served with a a slightly lemony ice cream. You wouldn't think that would work with chocolate but it totally did. After our meal I wanted to stay a bit to drink a bottle of water and let some of that alcohol settle out of my system since I was driving and don't like to risk the biscuit. So we stopped at the bar. I got my sparkling water and my wife ordered a dirty martini. She said it was the best dirty martini she ever had. This was a sensational place to celebrate our anniversary considering it was an impromptu pick. Kudos to all involved.

Also the complementary cheese bread was good, also the ginger shots. We got the churrasco, it had alittle bit of everything. Wish the meat was cooked alittle bit more cause it looked raw. Also wish it was hotter the food. The sausage had no flavor. We got Brussel sprouts and the mac and cheese were good. Also got a complementary dessert , chose the brownie and it was to bitter, tasted like dark chocolate. There was a fire dancer too. The server was nice.
