I had purchased new rear tires for my 1974 John Deere tractor but could not find anyone who would do the dismount and mounting job for me. I tried 3 different Les Schwab stores, Pape Equipment in both Sparks and Fallon and several others with was just about to give up on getting this job done locally when I decided to give S &W tractors a try. I emailed a request for service to them and received an immediate response from Trevor who said they could do the job and also supplied me with a reasonable quote for the work requested. We agreed upon a time, and they came and picked up my tractor and took it to their shop and took care of changing the tires and getting the job done. they returned the tractor to me after a few days and the tires were mounted perfectly, which was quite labor intensive job. They stuck to their estimate to the penny even though it was quite a difficult job to get done. I had never done business with these folks before, but they will be the first ones I call in the future with any tractor service needs I may have. So I purchased a 2620 tractor with a loader, box scraper, and backhoe. All is well until the tractor started having trouble starting and having been still under warranty I simply called the office in Carson City, Nevada, where Daniel came with his truck and trailer and took it away to the shop in Carson City. My tractor had a bad ignition switch that they had fixed the same day and brought the tractor back to next. If you want a nice little tractor. Mine is a 25 horse model. This is a good tractor. The back was fantastic with the exception that it doesn't have an extended hoe on it, which I had on a commercial model. I went to S and W to buy a part for my Kioti tractor. They did not have it in stock. Rather than order it for me they said they would order a couple and asked me to come back in a couple weeks. When I returned in two weeks, that day the man handling Kioti parts could not even find the part in the computer after I showed him the part in a brochure. He told me, the man who normally handles parts was on the phone. I told him I could wait but he said "I never know how long he will be on the phone", so leave you name and phone number and I will have him call you. It has been two days and no one has called me! I couldn't be happier with the service they have provided. I visited a few places in Reno and Carson and was pretty much sold on a Deere. I live in the area of S and W but had never heard of Kioti so I thought I'd swing by and take a look. Wendy took me out into the yard and started showing me all they have to offer, I seriously felt like my aunt was selling me a tractor. I completely abandoned my Deere idea and was sold on a Kioti. The hardest part was choosing which one! She told me I should go think on it and on my next day off I could come drive them all to see which one I like best. So as promised came back the next week and bought it. I've been back a few times since buying things and even after the purchase I'm still treated with tons of respect. We needed some work done on our horse trailer, and I especially wanted the brakes and bearings checked as it had been far too long since that had been done. Ed at S & W managed to fit us in quickly, was super nice to deal with when I got there, and they went over our trailer with a fine-toothed comb. Turned out the brakes and bearings were fine, but the trailer did need a few little things, none of which were expensive and definitely needed to be done. These folks could easily have made a lot more money on us -- we gave them the perfect opening to replace the brakes and bearings -- but they were 100% honest about everything and didn't make us spend a penny more than was actually needed. Man, I wish they did cars! We will definitely use them in the future for any trailer or tractor needs, and you can be sure I will be recommending them to all my horse-owning friends. I required a new hydrolic hose with fittings for my tractor. It was a Saturday and where I normally do business (one block away) for such things was closed. The exact same hose from S&W Tractor was nearly twice the cost. It was $24 at HIS and $46 at S&W. Should I need another hose on a Saturday, I'll wait until Monday. read more

I wrote a review shortly after buying a tractor from S&W. It has been two years since then. S&W still treats me like a member of the family, it is a great place to do business. The "little" tractor, a CK3510, I bought has been excellent, I have put over 400 hours on it. We live in the flats east of Genoa, if you are familiar with the area, you know that water is an issue. When we moved in, there was a "pond" on the west side from seepage down Water Canyon that runs until June, the south side was a bog from January until mid June. To date, I have brought in over 800 tons of material and moved another 1000 tons of native soil to deal with the drainage issues. That "little" has done it. When a pipe at the well head broke, with that "little" tractor, I had the pipe dug out and repaired in less than a day. If you think you need a tractor visit S&W and look at the Kioti products.
