Her attitude got to the point where I had to tell her to stop worrying about my purchase I completely understand if an item doesn't qualify for a clearance price that wasn't the issue. I was simply asking a question. There was absolutely no reason for another employee to speak to me the way she did. It made a simple checkout experience uncomfortable and left a really bad impression of the customer service at this location.

They sell them in bags of 8 now, instead of requiring you like before to buy two bags of six for a dozen bagels. The new price is basically $5.00 for 8, so I guess the price per bagel has gone up, but what hasn't. HERE IS THE BIG NEWS! THE BAGELS ARE NOW WATER BOILED! I saw the big sign on the wall, "water boiled". What that means is they're more like real bagels like you would find in an actual bagel shop, a more dense and chewy bagel, yeah like New York, I guess, even though I've never been. The previous bagels were basically fluffy beard donuts! Costco ended their association with Einstein's bagels (the bread donut ones) and now makes their own using water boiling before baking at each store. I tried them and, whoa, what a difference, it way better. Maybe not totally as good as an actual bagel shop, but way better than what they had before. I used to avoid Costco bagels, but not any more. It's incredibly strange I lost my charging cable when I had locked it inside my Pacsafe hip bag while flying . . . Hmmmm~ Weird. Anyway, I bought an upgraded, ten-foot, lightning, charging cable. The charging cable is more heavy-duty, thicker; it's black, wrapped with the same material as an industrial, extension cord verses the charging cable I lost was wrapped in some sort of corded, cotton cloth, flimsy material. Moreover, I can never find a ten-foot lightning charging cable in Placerville, Sacramento, Roseville, Rancho Cordova or any of the Bay Area Big Lots Stores: Oddly, this Big Lots Store has a plethora of items I have YET seen in other Big Lots Stores' inventory.

Easy in and out. I got my one item that was fully in stock. Atmosphere - Well stocked. Good selection. Plenty of parking. Open 7 days a week from Mondays to Saturday from 8am to 10pm. And on Sundays from 9am to 9pm. Service - Excellent. The one item was on the very, I mean VERY top peg. I asked the employee to borrow his step stool, but then he came and just got it down for me. And he brought a few extra down for future customers. Good thinking. Price - $1.25+; but I only come here for the $1.25 items. Owner Comment - Congrats on your success since 1953 with 15,288+ locations (8000 of which are Dollar Trees). I did not know that Family Dollar "merged" with you in 2021. I'm not sure how they are saving on dressing room security costs since the two pop-up stalls were unattended. There was one cashier and a line of 10 customers. This plaza has necessary basic services like laundry, fast food, a full-service restaurant, insurance, dry cleaners, hair, etc. If you want higher-end, like a mall, then go there, but this plaza is practical for those who need the services offered here. There are three vacancies currently. There are the current tenants: All-State (David Smith) Bobby Page's Cleaners Glam Girl Handbags & Accessories Hair We R Los Garcias Mexican Restaurant Nails by Tracy P & L LaunderLand Subway (anchor) Liberty Tax Service used to be here a few years ago, but closed, as did Payday Loans & Checks Cashed. The one thing that would be nice for this plaza is if there were some handicapped parking spots right near the laundromat, with a curb cut, so clothes carts can be wheeled easily to your car. This plaza, despite being low end, is in a high-traffic retail area, across from McDonald's and CVS. It has potential, if it could land a major tenant. I give this shopping center three stars, only because it has more potential than is being used and it is lower-end, so it is not a destination spot, like a mall or outlet center would be. I live close to the store, within walking distance, and pop in often. It's very clean well organized, and has an abundance of merchandise. The staff welcomes me in and offers to help with my selections. I find prices a bit higher than some other thrift stores, but feel that it's worth it due to its cleanliness, large selection and tidy organization. I'm a big fan!
