We went in with what I was hoping to be a quick and easy to solve issue (cloning an ssd and adding more storage). Unfortunately because we had tried a less knowledgeable repair shop before going to S&S the issue was more in-depth than I expected, the first repair shop had created additional problems during their attempt to fix the original issue. S&S went above and beyond to work with my 11yr old and myself to come up with a solution that would get us to where we wanted to be and repair the additional problems. I recently got a new PC running WIN 11. The old one was running 8.1. Big change. I took both boxes to S&S to transfer the data and set the box up. They got it done before the say was over! When i got it home, i had one small problem. I called Sean. He said bring it in and I'll check it out. I had spent hours moving files around. It took him 30 minutes to get it set up perfectly. I learned about S&S computers through a tech service friend of mine (who works in a large IT department and calls them when he can't fix it). I have taken several machines to them for repair, for just trying to speed them up to full hard drive replacement, extra memory, etc. My job requires high speed, high functioning equipment. I usually have 30-40 windows open at a time on 2 browsers, with several other programs running in the background. When I start to have issues I call S&S. The last time I had issues - I called on a Friday morning- they said to bring it in. They were able to evaluate it immediately. They did not have the equipment I needed in stock but told me to run to Office Depot and get it. I did, came back, handed it to them and left. I stopped for lunch on the way home and about the time I was headed home I got a call and said it was ready. They don't mess around! These guys are great- they have gone out of their way to make sure my computers are running the way they should be and are great at explaining what is going on, what really needs to be done and if you should even bother with a repair. I had a 5 year old computer I had built myself, had a pretty odd issue that made it unusable. Took it to S&S, they did some diagnostics, helped get me pointed in the right direction for part replacement. I did something stupid, when I replaced what needed to be replaced, took it back to them and they corrected my mistake and I think they undercharged me for time spent to be honest. These guys were excellent and honest. Rare combination now a days. My printer died and I called these guys. They told me to bring it over and they would take a look at it. After spending some time with it they recommended that I try a simple component replacement first. They gave me a print out of the component off Ebay that was under $10 . I took my computer in and the guys were very nice. The issue was not simple and they spent a lot of time on it. They backed up all my information and fixed the computer. I got it home and a couple of days later I thought I had another issue (it was user error). The guys looked at it again free of charge (since there was nothing wrong) and helped me over the phone to figure out what the problem was at home.
