Being disabled & on limited income we needed someone to inspect the Jeep to know if it was safe to drive. Honesty is critical for vehicles when you are traveling on highways with your loved ones. We bought 5 vehicles during my marriage at 1 dealership where we experienced being lied to learning that dealership was telling us our jeep needed a new part that a second opinion told us that was not true. My neighbor told us of their mechanic being honest & not overcharging shared people were driving from other States to have him work on their vehicle. We learned their mechanic quit working for this same dealership but he was at their Madison Dealership shared with us he ethically & morally quit because this dealership owner was charging customers for repairs they did not need to keep money coming in to pay his payroll expenses validated our experience at this owner's second site scared us. He retired that we were looking for a new mechanic that Eagan's Automotive provided us with EXCELLENT SERVICE & were HONEST..... which we read on-line I am giving them my review as the REPAIRMAN you need to go for repairs. Dave's a great mechanic, but most importantly he is HONEST. Zimbrick VW diagnosed my Tiguan and said I needed a new turbo for $2700. Desperate, I sought a second opinion from a well-known Madison VW repair shop. I was told the same thing but quoted $2400. Through the grapevine I heard of European Autowerks. Dave told me he could probably do the repair for $2000. Grateful for saner price, I agreed. The next day, Dave called to tell me he was pretty sure that the turbo was fine. But I did need a new diverter valve for $150. TWO reputable service centers had insisted that I needed a new turbo. And from the research I'd done, I agreed with them. Dave said otherwise. Five months later, my Tiguan is still running great. He could have easily charged me $2000 and I would have been grateful. Instead, he did the right thing and made me a customer, and advocate, for life. In addition to being ethical, Dave strikes me as the kind of mechanic you want working on your car. More than simply being competent, he has a genuine curiosity to figure out the problem. I really can't recommend this place enough.

Apparently, after a visit to a local dealership for a routine check up and oil change about a month and half ago, the dealership failed to assemble my tires securely to my vehicle. That's what the noise was. Holy crap, right?! After the guys told me, they went back, securely fastened the tires to my vehicle and charged me nothing for it!! NOTHING!! I was expecting a ball joint, a wheel bearing, or something else was the issue and was going to cost me a decent amount. How's that for honesty? I know where I'm coming for any future auto issues. Since then, we have taken multiple vehicles in, for everything from basic oil changes to suspension replacements. An anecdote: there was one time one of my control arms broke while driving and I had my car towed there. They looked into the issue, and Chris called me to let me know that Nissan would probably cover this under warranty, because there had been what was almost a recall, but you had to actually experience the problem first (they wouldn't replace them preventively). I didn't know about this, and they could have just diagnosed the issue and done the repair themselves, and I would have been none the wiser. Instead, they saved me hundreds of dollars. Their work has always been reasonably priced and completed to our satisfaction. I'm glad that Aaron, who had been operating as the main mechanic as it was, purchased the business and is continuing on as Syverson Automotive. I also really like the small shop feel -- if there's a question on the work done or recommended to be done, he's right there and you can actually talk to him. The only negative: it can take a bit to get in sometimes, so give them a call a couple weeks before you might want to be scheduled, if you can.

He gave an extensive report & photos showing our 1999 JEEP could not be on the road anymore as I was going through a divorce having medical bills I was forced to keep my jeep functioning but sadly the WI SALT RUSTED the underside frame. Mike then helped inspect a VAN we were considering from a private owner to ensure it was a good safe vehicle for the price/milage vs price having more knowledge & experience than we do as previously I bought vehicles from dealerships but being disabled on fixed income I can't be stranded nor had money for any surprised repairs. This was so helpful to us to make sure we invested our money into a used van that will meet our needs for $6600. He gave us knowledge to handle this transaction with the title & checked so we were not scammed as we experienced looking for a used vehicle on CRAIGSLIST....that seller was lying that we caught them scared us because we are struggling it is SAD to almost be harmed that MIKE'S ASSISTANCE took away so much stress that is priceless when disabled, poor & suffering other issues. We gave a TIP he did not want to accept but we insisted telling him to buy lunch for his staff or give them each a $20 bill as I said his kindness helped us so much that he /staff needed a little treat. He is NOW OUR PERMANENT REPAIRMAN. We are suffering by Attorneys committing crimes to avoid liability that we have suffered deeply where Mike was an EARTH ANGEL SHOWING US HUMAN KINDNESS still exists.
