Worst customer service I have ever experienced, do not buy or service a car from/with Napleton. Just the highlights: $661 for a "diagnostic charge," phone system does not properly route voice mails and they blame missed messages on the customer, sales slow to respond. My odyssey van battery light turn on the highway right before Columbus, WI at night while traveling to Canada. We stayed in Columbus that night then early that morning i tried calling all mechanic shop to fix my vehicle and this Chevy dealership was kind enough to take me in and fix my vehicle right away and drove me back to the hotel to wait with my family while they replaced the alternator. 2.5hrs later they had it fixed, picked me up, and got my vehicle. They even gave me plastic clips to fasten the underbody plastic shield and wheel well cover to have a safer trip. Thanks to their quick resolution, we were able to continue our anniversary vacation on time. I can't say enough on how great they handled our vehicle repair in a quick first priority type off situation, keeping us inform every step of the cost before they proceed, and then after driving off, they contacted us that evening to make sure we were still ok. There are good dealerships out there, good people that care about their customers and their vehicle, but when you get that call later that evening from the dealership while you are almost racing Canada to see if all is still going well, is a five star dealership. read more

We were in the market for a used Yukon. We were dealing with Juan one who was very responsive and answered all of our questions regarding the Yukon we were interested in. He informed us that he had exactly what we're looking for. We drive an hour to go see this vehicle. When we got there, Juan had it pulled out, running, with the air conditioner going! On the front end, it seemed all was going to go smoothly. After making a decision to purchase vehicle, Juan started to talk with us about interest rates assuming that we were going to go through him for financing. We told him that that would not be necessary, that we already have pre-approval with our Credit Union. He went on to continue to try to pressure us into letting him run our credit and see what interest rate he could come in at. I asked him what has been the going rate with them so far and he said around 7%. We told him that we had pre-approval for 5.99% interest. At this point, we called our bank to get the specifics worked out. Meanwhile, he's talking with the manager. When we begin to discuss the deal with Juan, the manager came into his office and interrupted our conversation and said,"I don't want you guys to think I'm a jerk before I even say what I'm about to say, but I have a guy coming on Saturday with a trade in and he's financing this vehicle through me, so if you are going to go through your Credit Union and not though me for financing, I'm selling it to him! But I will sell it to you if you finance through me!" WHAT!?!? WOW!! Ok, no thank you sir, we will not be pressured to finance through you at a higher interest rate! Wow, no way we will ever shop at this dealership! He didn't succeed in not wanting us to think he wasn't a jerk! Unbelievable! read more

On Thursday evening my window fell down into the door on the drivers side. Just popped and went down. I call Napleton on Friday Morning and they said to bring it in right away. I drove in (about 10 minutes away) and met with the service dept. They immediately put a mechanic on it to see what happened. They came back a few minutes later and said the cable on the mechanism broke. They wanted to know if I could wait for it as they would send a person to get the part right away but it might take about an hour to get it. I was happy to hear that and said I could wait. In about two hours from the time I drove in the shop it was finished. They did an outstanding job and do believe in Customer service. Great service and friendly staff. Will not be recommending nor returning to this dealership. Within 2.5 to 3 months after purchasing my used Grand Cherokee it started making a ticking noise and losing power on acceleration, as well as an oil leak. Almost $5,000 later in repairs...... I understand I purchased a used vehicle and things break, however, this is pretty extreme and some of these issues they had to know about. read more

Take your business elsewhere! Purchased a used truck from them just 2 weeks ago. While i was purchasing the truck, they were great. Very friendly and willing to work with me. But as soon as I start having problems with the truck, I cant get a hold of my sales man, Gary. I emailed, called and left messages for him until it was too late. My truck was leaking gear oil from the rear differential pretty bad, so I had to take it in to get the diff cover replaced, or i would have blown up the differential. While it was in the shop, they found that the cv axle boots were shredded and throwing grease everywhere, both front wheel bearings are bad, and the brake pads were basically disintegrated, leaving the rotors damaged as well. Basically this truck that passed their "inspection" was very unsafe for me to be driving on the road. Then finally i get a hold of the finance manager, and he basically tells me that they won't help me at all because i went to an outside shop, and he doesnt know if they lied about the work that needed to be done. So now im out $2,500 because i couldn't get a hold of Gary. I will not be returning to them. Or Recommending them. So disappointed read more

byers beware!! dealership commited fraud and it was illegal and they had to buy-back this car from me! photos included. bought a vehicle and drove it for 1 day only. woke up to a huge amount of oil on my garage floor. took it back to dealership and they hoisted it up in the air. omg, there was no underbody shield under the vehicle which covers/protects the engine from mud etc... and because there was no underbody shield under the vehicle, the seal that covers the oil was broke. oil was pouring out. after the service manager leland treated me so poorly and was condescending and tried to be superior by patronizing me, i had a meeting with the general manager and the owner of napleton ford. all they kept saying is, we're not going to help you out. the owner said to me, this is how we make our money!! then he smiled! both the general manager and owner knew i was right. but they won't buy the vehicle back. it's almost $1000 to fix the problem and they wont pay. they know if they admit to their wrong doing and help me out, then they're going to lose business. so i drove the car once. now it sits at the dealership with no oil in it. i owe $25,000 on the car, which is a $400 a month car payment. the owner and general manager are evil. please please please stay away! this is my first time ever leaving a review for a business. i don't ever want anyone to go through what they're putting me through. it's almost christmas and i told them that. they smiled and went home to their families, while i left in tears with no car because it's not drivable and a huge car payment and loan. good news is, i did videotape our conversation and it's being sent to the attorney's general office, consumer reports, federal trade commission, bbb and a whole bunch of places. what i learned from this is always videotape in these situations. because when it's your word against theirs, this is the only thing that can help you out. update********dealership had to buy-back my vehicle after it was found by department of transportation that the dealership sold me a fraud vehicle. in the paperwork i bought the car with it stating the last person that purchased it used it for personal use. come to find out this car was a rental car. they lied on paper. will attach pictures. leland is the service manager and he verbally attacked me. then i sat down with vince rushiti the general manager and daniel randolph the president/general manager. they verbally attacked me when i told them they were committing fraud. they laughed at me and said go ahead and investigate us, nobody will believe you. well it took less than 8 hours for me to contact department of transportation and them to contact me saying the dealership did something illegal and that was fraud when selling me this car. it's on paper they lied, and had to buy the vehicle back from me. please stay away. the dealership was countryside ford but days later was boutght by napleton ford. regardless, same people just a different name! also, i never received the wisconsin buyer's guide. i signed the papers and purchased the vehicle on 11/9/22. i found out once i received the wisconsin buyers guide from department of transportation theres a date next to my name that i did not write. it's dated for the next day. this proves i never received the wisconsin buyers guide because i purchased the vehicle and signed all paperwork on 11/9/22. the next day someone put a date of 11/10/22 next to my name and i never received this. they purposely did not send me with a copy of the wisconsin buyers guide because that is where the fraud is. as for the oil issue that i knew was not my fault. i 100 percent believe they knew about this issue prior to me purchasing the vehicle because the inspection paper the dealership signed prior to me purchasing the vehicle said the dealership fixed the right rear tail light because it was full of water. the dealership sold me a vehicle that was previously a rental car and seems someone went mudding with this car prior to me purchasing it read more

I would NOT recommend Napleton Chevrolet Buick in Columbus, WI! Apparently someone backed into the car I wanted to purchase the night before and damaged the bumper and sensor. Both needed to be replaced. The car was also missing a driver side floor mat, the key fobs said low batteries and buffing was needed on the car. The hood showed bubbling in the paint. There was a recall on it. They couldn't do it there. I had to make an appt at a ford dealer. I did not want to take my new car until the issues were fixed but was pushed to that day. I understand it was month end and the sales person Crystal probably needed the sale. Which I completely understand everyone needs a paycheck. During the transaction I was told by Crystal that all the things needed would be taken care of and if i took the car they would pick it up and drop it off for my service. I confirmed a few times that they would come all the way to Waunakee where i work to do that. She assured me yes! When the appointment was set up I was told NO they do not do that. I called and talked to Crystal as I received no response from my email sent. She said she couldn't pick up but would drop back off. Then after my car had been in the shop almost a week I called to inquire when it might be ready as I hadn't heard anything. I was told it was taking longer than they thought but it should be ready the next day. I didn't hear anything from Crystal about dropping it off and no response from my email so I called. When I got ahold of Crystal when asking her she quickly transferred me to the service dept before I could finish talking. Apparently Ford sent the wrong sensor. I feel someone could of called to update me. My other issue is they did not pay off my car I traded in right away and I needed to make another car payment. It took them just under a month to finally pay it off. I again needed to contact them about. Crystal did not know why, and the finance manager said it was sent. Finally talked to the office manager. She told me when it was sent. I called Honda no payment reported. Talked to office manager again and then she said would call them. Finally called me back and realized after checking she was wrong about when sent check and it was JUST sent. So after all this ridiculousness I decided I should let the sales manager know about my experiences, I did hear from him. He did apologize for my experiences and talked about the car being detailed and some compensation but then never committed and tried to change back to apologizing and hanging up. Finally I hear from Crystal they are going to compensate me floor mats which is not really compensation as I needed the driver one and others were fine. I also received which I first thought was going to be a gas card which made me mad as my car wasn't filled up when bought or when returned from service as i was told it would be. It turned out to be a $100 visa gift card which i appreciated. So when i get the car back it is not only NOT detailed but dirtier than when i brought it in. I at least hope this is not how everyone else's experience is but WOW I have NEVER experienced such POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE when purchasing a car. read more

On a recent trip thru Wisconsin, one of my tires started losing pressure. I pulled into Columbus, Googled Chevrolet Dealers, and located Napleton Chevrolet. I was greeted by Jessica at the service desk. She greeted me with a smile and a "how can we help you today". She entered my work order and said "we will get on it". 30 minutes later, Aaron, the repairman, brought my car out, greeted me, showed me a large nail that he pulled from the tire. He informed me it was not serious, he had plugged the tire and I was ready to go. The cost was reasonable, the service outstanding. I had a transmission issue on my Tahoe. Napleton diagnosed it and did extensive work to get it covered by my extended warranty company. They were successful and got it back to me - runs great. They've always done my maintenance on my Tahoe; I took it there for the transmission work because I knew they had records of the work done. The service department and their staff have been great to work with especiall for car emergencies. The most recent our vehicle had problems with the shift mechanism and they found the problem and had the part shipped overnight and fixed it the next day. The other time we had a tire problem and they fixed it right away. They went the extra effort to fix the vehicle and help us out especially being from out of the area. read more

DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR HERE! I had the unfortunate displeasure of having my vehicle towed here. I was reluctant to bring my business to this shop because I've been constantly ripped off by Micah and his staff but figured since it's in town where I live, I'd give them another chance. They tried stating that the only way they could do a diagnostic was by replacing the battery and doing an entire break down of the engine. A 1650 total to start with out guarantee that would diagnose the issue. When I called them out on their b.s and requested they replaced the battery then go from there they agreed, only to call back minutes later to refuse servicing the vehicle. Towed it to a different shop and got it diagnosed in an hour, no engine tear down required. Avoid this hole at all costs. They are only out to provide you with the most costly diagnosis possible, will refuse service when you catch on, and their main concern is how much they can profit from your vehicle issues. read more

Bought a vehicle with cash last year from Napelton--which was a certified previously leased vehicle with 17,000 miles. We drove home to Janesville and once we got it home noticed the front bumper had popped out. We then made arrangements to take it back and repaired. It was a clip that was broke that they fixed while we were in their waiting room. I recently had scuffed my buffer and took it to a Certified body shop in Janesville to repair and they gave me an estimate. Took the vehicle in for repair and then they called me asking me what happened to the bumper before. I told them Napelton replaced a bumper clip. They stated it was repaired incorrectly--actually it was glued--so they had to destroy the bumper to get it off. Now the whole bumper had to be replaced for additional money. They suggested I go back to the dealership to address this issue. I talked to the General Manager "Dan" to let him know about the faulty repair. We showed him pictures that the Body Shop provided and offered to give him their phone number for clarification. He was very defensive and told us they don't have a Body Shop there and that they out source that work--yet we sat in their waiting room while it was being done. No one told us they out source this stuff--regardless. They do not standby the workmanship of the people they out source their work to. Dan just kept saying its only cosmetic--not sorry or apologetic or even cared about the issue--very arrogant person. We are moving forward and contacting General Motors to file a formal Complaint--this Dealership is giving General Motors a bad name. BUYER BEWARE!! read more

When I arrived, the service technicians were very helpful and friendly. I waited in the dealership's clean and bright customer service area where they had fresh baked cookies and coffee. We told him we were just looking and planned on going to other dealers and check them out. He was fine with that and not pushy at all. We test drove two cars a Chev Trax and A buick Encore. He took an hour with us answering our questions even knowing that we were only looking. We left to go to another GM dealer in Beaver Dam, (sucked) Well after all as said and done we decided on a lease of the Buick. Made the deal and learned all about he options on the car and left. I saw a 2017 Impala on-line advertised for $22,439. I went to the Napleton Chevrolet and test drove it. After the test drive I went in the sales office and was asked if I own other Chevrolets in which I do so they said I qualify for a rebate for that. Then they asked me if I would be financing it or buying it out right. I said financing thru my bank. Oh, the sales guy said and had to refigure the price which now was over $28,000 since I was not financing thru GM. He asked me what I thought. Obviously, not a good question to ask. I told him the price is advertised at $22,438 and I was not going to pay more than that. He had left the office and sent the sales manager in who quickly stated that he did not have thousands of dollars to loose and there would be no sale. I went to a different dealership and can by a new 2018 with more options for under $25,000. What a joke, I would not recommend anyone wasting their time at this dealership! read more
