Being disabled & on limited income we needed someone to inspect the Jeep to know if it was safe to drive. Honesty is critical for vehicles when you are traveling on highways with your loved ones. We bought 5 vehicles during my marriage at 1 dealership where we experienced being lied to learning that dealership was telling us our jeep needed a new part that a second opinion told us that was not true. My neighbor told us of their mechanic being honest & not overcharging shared people were driving from other States to have him work on their vehicle. We learned their mechanic quit working for this same dealership but he was at their Madison Dealership shared with us he ethically & morally quit because this dealership owner was charging customers for repairs they did not need to keep money coming in to pay his payroll expenses validated our experience at this owner's second site scared us. He retired that we were looking for a new mechanic that Eagan's Automotive provided us with EXCELLENT SERVICE & were HONEST..... which we read on-line I am giving them my review as the REPAIRMAN you need to go for repairs. They are very busy as a result. BRAVO EAGAN AUTOMOTIVE CREW for being HONEST REPAIRMEN as vehicles must be SAFE on highways with our family member's SAFETY being your #1 priority.

The cure for the mechanic-phobic…read more To start things off, I am going to admit I know basically nothing about auto repair. That gene must have skipped a generation, because all I can do is turn on the ignition, fill the car with gas and pop the hood for the mechanic. I break into hives if I need to go beyond those steps. So going to the shop to get the car serviced has always filled me with dread, which most mechanics capitalize on to pay for their kid's college education. Since I've started going to Village Mobil for my car maintenance, that is no longer the case. I always feel that they have my best interests in mind when they make service recommendations and they work with me to come up with the most cost-effective solution rather than push the repair that puts the most money in their pocket. The quality of their work is solid, I've never had to return to redo a repair. Their shop is clean and they share a building with a Milio's where I can wait for short repairs. They have free wi-fi and a current newspaper to cover my old and new school media needs. Just a couple of small negatives. * Because of their popularity, I often have to schedule an appointment a week out. * They don't have a loaner car for longer repairs. Because of my favorable experiences, I no longer procrastinate going to the shop for scheduled maintenance. Never thought that would be the case.

My young son bought his first car, all on his own, before going off to college this fall. He bought…read moreit used from a family friend and fellow church member who did their very best to make sure the car was going to treat him well for years to come. They had had all the work on the car done at Village Mobile in Waunakee while they owned it. Before deciding to sell it they took it in to them again to get a full and thorough inspection. It was inspected and a list of all the issues found was created. This list was passed on to my son before he purchased it. In total, they noted $1,800 of things to be fixed. We proceeded to fix the majority of those things for a total of $550. That $1,800 is clearly a major rip off of the customer. When fixing the items they noted, we discovered there was a crack and two large rust holes in the rear subframe. Totally obvious to even a non car person with out taking anything apart. I called Village Mobile to ask them about this oversight to such a major issue with the vehicle. They said they did not feel they were responsible in any way. I assured them, I did not expect them to take care of the issue free of charge. I just asked that they consider seeing what could be done to help my son get the car fixed so it was safe to drive at a reasonable price. I asked that they have compassion and see if they could do what ever they could to keep the cost down for him given they had missed something that was such a safety issue. They called today with the quote to get it repaired and I was absolutely flabbergasted! With a used subframe, mind you, they quoted us $2,000 to fix it!!! As I said earlier, the original quote, after a supposedly thorough inspection was $1,800, to fix all of the cars issues. Now they are telling us it will be $2,000 to fix the issue they completely missed. I don't know about you, but I would not trust anyone in that business to look at, quote, or do any work on my vehicle. In my opinion, this is gross negligence and complete incompetence. Not to mention price gouging, no compassion, or self conscious. For reference, here is a picture of what they did not see upon inspection. This is unacceptable on so many levels. I hope everyone reading this will think twice about doing business with Village Mobile in Waunakee and you will spread the word far and wide that this is not a company you can trust with your business.

While all other places either quoted me higher prices or were super busy for a car inspection, Don's price was reasonable as well as was flexible with timings. They gave a detailed report on the car and told me that the serpentine belt ($170) is wearing off and needs to be replaced soon. With this, I was able to bargain a better price before buying my current car. In fact, the serpentine belt broke less than two months of me buying the car as they predicted. I have been getting my oil change here every 3-4 months ever since. Mine is a 11 year old car with 220 k miles, so there are new issues that regularly pops up. They give me estimates for all the repairs, they also tell me which one is necessary for me to drive and which is not (like my car's rattling noise at times which I'm fine with). They also call me if they find new issues while they are working and ask for my decision before moving further. I'm grateful to them for always being honest and kind to me. I strongly recommend the place on the University Ave especially if you work close to the campus. I usually call them to see if I can drop my car off in the morning before going to work at UW and I pick my car back around 5 pm when I head back home. This way I don't have to worry about losing working hours. Thanks Don The Car Care Man!
