Having been raised in Gordon Valley/Suisun Valley and being a proud ranch and vineyard property owner in Gordon Valley, this area has always held such a special place in my heart. It's home. We were so excited to welcome Ryan Darrall Winery to Gordon Valley, and after spending quite a bit of time there, I have to say, they have truly created something special. From the moment you walk in, there is such a warm, welcoming, family feeling. Ryan, his family, and his entire staff make you feel comfortable and at home from the very beginning. This family winery is the BEST! I stumbled upon them December of last year with a dear friend visiting from Denver. Shelby, was the only one in the tasting room that day, & for about an hour so were we. It was a cold, winter day. We tasted all of the wines, learned how the winery started, & the heart & soul behind it. I left that day knowing I'd be back. About a month later brought another friend, our dogs, & joined as a member that day. What a gem! We went for a tasting with friends and were treated like VIP's from start to finish. It was a beautiful day and we enjoyed our tastings outdoors. The cutest winery run by the super sweetest young couple and their siblings. The others that work there are super friendly as well. Definitely a "cool" winery and all of the wine is sooo good! Meeting up with some friends for a nice Saturday afternoon out, we decided to come to Ryan Darrell wine. We enjoyed the beautiful layout of the facility and that there was ample seating and shade. Our journey through Suisun Valley we came across this beautiful winery. As we walked up we were greeted by a young man that asked if this was our first time here. He and his brother Ryan were very hospitable. I really love this winery as it felt like I was somewhere in the Napa Valley. Wine tasting was $30 but we decided on a glass of wine. Had a wonderful afternoon enjoying a tasting flight at the newest winery in my backyard. The ambiance is absolutely stunning. The outdoor area has comfy couches and plenty of shade. We began our flight with the Granache Blanc. So light and fresh. Perfect for a summer day. Next was the Granache Rose. So lovely and tart. It's a modern look fitting perfectly into the style and ambiance of Suisun with the Napa-like architecture. The cabernet is only on its second year and needs time to develop.
