Sparkling Rose.. the best of the 10 wines we tasted
    Angela F.

A very nice wine shop in the Village at Meritage Resort & Spa. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff Was surprised to find a Yelp buy one tasting get one free. They didn't actually know how to handle it. But it was resolved and honored . We bought a bottle each of the Sparkling Rose.

A family-run winery going on their 7th generation! We were in Napa for work and wanted a walk-in wine tasting option. They advertised that walk-ins are welcome so we gave them a try. We really enjoyed our time at this intimate tasting room, located at Vista Collina Resort at the Meritage (this is part of the resort's complex of tasting rooms, a market, and more, with a central lawn area). The pretty Gen7 tasting room has lots of wood textures and earth tones, with indoor and outdoor seating areas. We sat outside on their tented patio and appreciated the tent protecting us from the sun and wind! Comfy seating, old vine decor...loved the vibe. We opted for the $40 Signature Tasting and chose 5 wines from the 9 available. And we took advantage of the Yelp Check-In Offer: 1 free tasting (oh yeah! thankful for that as $40 is a pricey tasting for us coming from Sonoma County). I took home a bottle of my two favorite wines: -Contortionist Sparkling Rosé -Yielding Petite Sirah A few other things to note: -Park along the street on Bordeaux Way. -A Cheese/Charcuterie board is available if you order 24-hours in advance. Hungry before or after your tasting?! There's a market and a food truck right there in the same complex. We finished our tasting then sat in the central/communal tented picnic area to enjoy food we ordered from the food truck. Super easy and convenient, especially if you're staying at the resort and don't want to go far. If you're in the area looking for a walk-in wine tasting option, give Gen7 a try!

Roxanne, Roxanne! She's so sweet and amazing!! Thank you for such remarkable service. We're glad we stumbled (no pun) into Gen 7's tasting room. I haven't enjoyed many wines in a tasting this much. I actually left tipsy. My husband loved the jalapeño cheddar almonds we had for a snack.

I was really impressed by how cute and comfortable the outdoor patio seating was here. The chair cushion's were thick and soft and the faux animal skins on the ground made you feel as if you were in a swanky den or lounge. I also loved the touch of having the vines as a barrier around the patio, it helped give off that winery vibe that you so desperately want while tasting. When we arrived on a Sunday afternoon we were the only ones there and had our choice of seats. No less than 10 minutes later the patio was filling up with parties all around us. After looking over the tasting menu we decided to go with two of the signature flights. This flight was less expensive and allowed you to choose the 5 wines you wanted to taste. Our host, I believe her name was Maria, did a wonderful job. She helped us decide between a few of the wines we were interested in since we were narrowing it down. Very knowledgable of the wines and the labels. She was the only one working on a Sunday afternoon - which is crazy, so towards the end of our visit it was slow to get our last pour and to check out, but she was hustling around to all the tables doing her thing, so props to her. I really did enjoy the wines, however due to the price of the tasting I only ended up taking home one bottle. Would've loved to take the sparkling rosé home too, but my wallet would've left a bid sadder had I done so. They do currently have a Yelp check-in offer for buy one tasting get one free, so if you have a Yelp account and are heading here be sure to check it out! Note- when putting Gen 7 wines into Apple maps it doesn't actually take you here but rather to a business complex parking lot around the corner. So if you are using Apple maps and it looks like you're in the wrong spot keep driving around the corner and when you see the big resorts you're in the right spot.

Maria was AMAZING. She took such great care of my friend and I. Very knowledgeable and very attentive. Such a peaceful atmosphere. We enjoyed every bit of our time there and purchased roughly 5 bottles. Maria is amazing highly recommended :)

Highly recommend coming to Gen7 if you're in Napa. My wife and I have been here twice and have been absolutely blown away by the service and friendliness of the staff both times. Our 2nd time here, we were helped by Mary who was not only knowledgeable but such a great host. She was friendly, talkative and knew everything about the wine. She taught us about each wine and made the wine tasting experience very fun. Will continue to come back for the wine and hopefully Mary is here to help and tell us about each wine.

My Friend and I came on a Thursday afternoon for a 5 course tasting, the host was very sweet. Explained the tastings and chit chatted around with the different parties. She would circle around and pour tastings, even let us try different kinds among the two of us. I was surprised by the dessert wine at the end. i highly recommend it! Would definitely recommend and be back again

Inseparable (50/50 Cab/Zin blend) from Gen 7's "artist series" wines

Going out on a limb here, but it's fair to say that places like GEN 7 are not the reason most people come to the Napa Valley. Situated at the far south end of the Valley (south even, of Napa Valley College) GEN 7 is part of a group of tasting rooms that comprise The Village, sort of an open-air mall that caters to guests who stay in the hotels (e.g. Meritage, Vista Collina) which surround it. The tasting room is clean, comfortable, right-sized, and nicely appointed. It seems perfectly outfitted to serve those who find themselves here which, on the day of my visit, was 100% comprised of people bearing coupons doled out by those surrounding hotels, for 2-for-1 tastings or splashes. I had something different: A Napa Valley "Cellarpass", entitling me to a tasting of 3 wines from GEN 7's "artist series" which run $38-$58 per bottle. Currently, tastings of these wines are not on the tasting menu. Menu tastings encompass more tastings of different wines at costs of $30 and $40. But you've got a coupon, right? GEN 7 wines are comprised of grapes from different vineyards and counties, not necessarily Napa. The wines I sampled were good though neither the Inseperable (50/50 Cab/Zin blend), the Bestower (Sonoma, 95/5 Syrah/Zin), or the Yielding (Napa, largely Petit Syrah) inspired a purchase. The real find here, in my opinion, was The Village itself. Outside the doors of GEN 7 is a vast lawn area appointed with chairs and tables and games, open to all. Those with kids in tow, those bearing a picnic lunch, or those just wishing to enjoy a nice glass of something can enjoy it from a lovely al fresco setting and you needn't be staying in a surrounding hotel to do so. Gen 7 is a perfectly fine experience, even if there's no vineyard or chateau to enjoy along with your wine. If you're staying at one of the nearby hotels, coupon in hand, it's really a no-brainer.

Tried the signature Tasting on the 4th of July. Was outstanding. Each wine was served well. Our hostess told us about each wine. The vibe from the courtyard music was good. Highly recommend GEN7wines if in Napa.

This tasting spot was in the property we were staying at. Not crowded at all and the service was great! Their wines were delicious.

First time here for wine tasting with the family and we loved it. I have to say this is literally the first place in Napa in the last two days of our short vacay that Customer services was on point and we felt welcomed. Staff were nice and friendly where they made you feel welcoming. The atmosphere was warm and inviting. We were seated inside. Nobody else was inside besides us. We didn't feel rush like other place where they limit you to an hour for wine tasting. Manager came by to check in and socialize here and there. They had a great variety of wine which all tasted great. Most of us did the signature tasting while my sister opt for the red. Sister ended up purchasing a bottle we all loved and enjoyed. Although I prefer white and the dessert wine this red was very tasty and smooth. Would definitely come back when in the area to hangout with great companies and recommend this place to others. Thank you for an awesome experience!

Roxanne served us during the New Orleans/Jazz fest at Meritage in Napa. She was amazing!!!! Their wine is incredible and the ambiance is great. We actually wanted to adopt Roxanne as family! I have to say that I LOVED the Petit Syrah! Great job!

The entire experience was stellar, beginning with a welcome glass of Vin Gris, which counts as one of the five wines in the tasting. We settled into comfortable, spacious semicircular couches with panoramic views overlooking the vineyards, gardens, and mountains beyond. What truly elevated our visit was Dulce, our hostess, who has more than 20 years of wine experience. She described each wine with such knowledge and detail that we were able to choose wines we genuinely enjoyed. But it was more than expertise. She shared her knowledge and passion so freely and with such heart that she made the afternoon feel special. Dulce is truly a gift to Bouchaine. The hospitality began even before we arrived. When we realized we didn't need as much time between wineries, we called and asked whether we could move our 3:30 tasting to 2:30. They accommodated us with grace. We ended up staying more than 2 1/2 hours and never once felt hurried. I especially appreciated the generous spacing between the seating areas, which gave each group privacy and made the tasting feel peaceful rather than crowded. The grounds were lovely, with purple agapanthus and black-eyed Susans blooming against the vineyards and mountains. Even the modern wood architecture--from the tasting room and offices to the beautifully designed bathroom--made us feel as though we were somewhere thoughtfully created and genuinely special. Every member of the staff we encountered was warm and welcoming. Some wineries you visit once because you're curious to experience them. My husband and I were able to call ahead and schedule a very last-minute tasting, and from the very beginning, the hospitality was exceptional. I work in the wine industry on the retail side in Texas, while my husband does not, so creating an experience that feels both educational and approachable for both of us is not always easy. Steve absolutely nailed it. He welcomed us warmly, shared thoughtful stories about the wines and the winery, and made the experience feel incredibly personal. The tasting room itself is beautiful and feels like a hidden gem in Napa. We especially loved learning about the wines and the woman winemaker behind Levendi. The tasting was stunning from start to finish. What truly sets Levendi apart, though, is the level of hospitality. Since our visit, I have referred many of my favorite clients to Levendi, and Steve consistently goes above and beyond for them. He bends over backwards to make sure my customers are taken care of, and every single person I've sent has come back raving about their experience. At this point, a trip to Napa would not feel complete without a stop at Levendi. I honestly cannot imagine Napa without Levendi -- or Steve. If it's your first visit, do yourself a favor and try the Stagecoach. You won't be sorry.

The tour was a bit short for what it's worth, but there is an art gallery portion you are allowed to tour at your own self-guided pace. We then proceeded with wine tasting and a cheese board. I was so pleasantly surprised to see the custom welcoming of our names on the menu. It was such a cute, personalized touch. 10/10 for the ambiance, fresh, blooming wisteria vines, and presentation of both the wine and cheese board. 7/10 for the wine. We really only enjoyed the Chardonnay and the Cabernet Sauvignon out of the 4 options. 8/10 for the cheese. Great presentation of the cheese with some unique spreads: apricot ginger and a cab mustard. The cheese selection included a variety of cow and sheep's milk. I enjoyed the Lambchopper and Barely Buzzed the most, the Grazin Girl being my least favorite. My boyfriend enjoyed the Invirness the most due to its soft texture, so it all depends on your personal preference! I may have also finished all the chocolate almonds myself :D This is definitely a nice spot to visit for your first time in Napa, as it's a little tucked away and away from tourists. Overall, I had a very positive experience!
