Loved our experience at RD Winery. Adriana provided the best service and is super knowledgeable about the wines they produce and serve. She even gave us an awesome list of restaurants, bars, vineyard and wineries to visit on our trip. We had this place all to ourselves while we were there. We walked around, saw where they produced the wine, and enjoyed the Vietnamese artwork in their galleries and around the tasting room. Love the diversity this Winery provides the area and enjoyed the Fifth Moon tasting ($30 per tasting and bookable on Tock). All in all a great experience and would visit again. Loved Adriana's vibe and they also had a wine stain remover since I spilled my last taste (Red Zinfandel) on my sweater.

Pleasantly surprised. The building is a industrial park but despite that it is well kept and comfortable with a nice out door patio. The wines were great, we liked the zinfandel and reisling. Prices were overall fair. Our host, I can not remember her name, was great. She was very comfortable and at ease and was there only exactly when needed. I'd come back!

We had to check out RD winery when we were in Napa to support a Vietnamese-owned business! It's more like a tasting room, there is indoor and outdoor seating with a garden view. I didn't feel like I was missing out on the winery vibes here, it was still a nice ambiance. I went with the fifth moon tasting, and the wines were okay. Some of the white wines were a little lacking in flavor for me. One person in our group got the chocolate pairing with their tasting and I loved getting to sample some unique chocolate truffle flavors like pho, jasmine tea, and Vietnamese coffee. We also ordered the duck flatbread, which was so delicious. The duck was smoky and savory and contrasted with the sweet and tangy plum sauce. The fresh spring onion relish rounded out the flavors of the flatbread. The Asian inspired offerings on the food menu were a standout of our time here. Our server was so knowledgeable and friendly, which definitely added to the experience. We tried a glass of her favorite, the grenache, and ended up buying a bottle of this to bring home. Definitely the best one we tried out of the tastings! Overall, warm staff and relaxed garden views, with some unique bites and wines, though I wish I enjoyed the wines in my tasting more.

RD Winery is the perfect example of a hidden gem in plain sight. Located where Highways 29 and 12 converge in south Napa not too far from the Napa County Airport, RD Winery is the first Vietnamese owned winery in the Napa Valley. RD Winery is a venture by Dong Van Nguyen, who built his Rong Dong Group into a construction, real estate, and hotel powerhouse in his native Vietnam, purchasing the Napa facility that once housed both a brewery and a sake winery. The plan for RD Winery was to produce high-quality wine for the burgeoning Vietnam market, but with import taxes too high to justify the cost, the owner's niece, who is the CEO of RD Winery convinced them to keep the wine right here for those to enjoy in Napa, and we are all the more luckier for that. RD Winery doesn't own any of its vineyards as they source their grapes from throughout the state. What they do accomplish on site is crushing, and a lot of it, so much so they not only custom process their own grapes for their own wines, but they also crush grapes for a number of other local wineries and winemakers, making them a destination for all. What brought a friend and I here on a chilly winter weekend afternoon was the fact that RD Winery provides one the most accessible food and wine pairings in the entire Napa Valley. Served over the weekends for sixty-five dollars a person, this seasonal Asian-inspired menu from Chef Max Ackerman of Sushi Monkey, which has a series of pop-ups and provides takeout sushi rolls at local markets. When paired with RD Winery's Fifth Moon series from winemaker Timothy Milos, named for the 5th day of the 5th month of the lunar calendar year, it made for the perfect combination. Sitting out on their patio underneath their heating lamps made for a wonderful afternoon, as our tasting room associate Ed made sure to pour all five wines and explain what each of them represented before we were presented with our selection of food. We enjoyed their 2021 Riesling sourced from Sonoma County, their 2020 Grüner Veltliner sourced from the central coast of California, their 2020 Chenin Blanc sourced from El Dorado County, their 2020 Rosé also sourced from El Dorado County, and their 2021 Red Blend which was a combination of grapes sourced from multiple locations around the state. These wines were paired with their Curried Kettle Corn, Shrimp Cocktail, Veggie Spring Roll, Mushroom Soup Shooter, and a Pulled Pork Slider. Of the wines, all five had something special about their tasting, their Riesling, which was a pleasant wine that was a little sweet, but not overbearing that it went down real smooth; their Grüner Veltliner was both bold and soft with every sip; their Chenin Blanc was a fruit forward wine but had mild after notes; their Rosé was rare as it was not pink in color as they remove the skin from the grapes when crushing them in order to achieve solid fruity notes; and their Red Blend was a solid combination of three wines that gave it a soft easy finish. When paired with menu items such as their poached shrimp marinated in kimchi cocktail sauce or their ginger braised pork served on a steamed bun and with hoisin and red beet bbq sauce, the savoriness of the food was really heightened on the palate. We weren't quite done with our winery experience, as we adjourned back in their Southeast Asian-inspired tasting room to enjoy their cheese and charcuterie board. Paired with a pour of their Grenache from their Hundred Knot series, we enjoyed a variety of nuts, cornichons, brie and gouda cheese, soppressata salami, and crackers from Rustic Bakery, it really brought out medley of flavors that pair well with every item on our board. But then there was more as we also added onto our order their chocolate and wine pairing, which paired a box of five different truffles locally sourced from Annette's chocolate with a glass of their Hundred Knot Pinot Noir. From savory bites to sweet treats to end our meal, everything was enhanced with luscious yet subtle wines. At about eight-four dollars a person before taxes and gratuity was added in, this was the perfect way to enjoy a multi-course food and wine pairing without breaking the bank. I loved the first two wines we enjoyed so much that I made sure to purchase a bottle each of their Riesling and their Grüner Veltliner to take home with me. With team members as welcoming as Ed, Adriana, and Kandace, our day and experience at RD Winery was one to remember. Where else can one enjoy wine tasting with a pair of metallic chopsticks? With service like that, you know that they know food at RD Winery, and after sampling so many of their varietals, they know wine too!

RD Winery offers a distinct Napa Valley experience. Unlike traditional wineries with vineyard views or castle-like tasting rooms, RD offers an indoor as well as outdoor space where you choose your tasting flight and seating after arrival. The indoor space is very open and has a coastal vibe because of the color scheme and the decor. We opted for indoor seating. The tasting flight options range from $30 to $80, all including five tastings. We had a "covet pass" that waived the fee for the regular tasting, but my friend wanted to try the "captivating" selection (priced at $80). Thankfully, the pass covered most of it, and we only had to pay $30 extra. We also shared a small cheese and charcuterie board. It included two cheeses, crackers, mixed nuts (mostly almonds and cashews), and dried cranberries. While decent, it wasn't particularly impressive. Moving onto the actual tasting, out sommelier was knowledgeable and attentive, guiding us through the tasting with interesting details about each wine. The wines themselves were decent, offering a nice mix of whites and reds. However, our experience was marred by a large, loud group seated nearby. They brought a barking dog, making conversation difficult. With the indoor space mostly empty, it felt like the staff could have placed them further away.

My fiance and I were planning an overnight trip to Napa with our pet. I had initially planned to check out specific dog-friendly wineries, but we took our time leaving from the South Bay to Napa and didn't allot enough time to check those places out. Instead, I took a chance at looking into wineries by our hotel and hoped for the best. I did a google search of the area and found that RD Winery was a quick 4 minute drive from our hotel. A huge plus was that the winery was also one of the first stops off the main highway, so we didn't have to drive an extra 30 minutes for more popular spots. I was incredibly pleased with our time at RD Winery, and it ended up being the only winery we visited during our entire afternoon! We arrived at RD Winery around 4pm on a Saturday. The place wasn't busy at all, and we were informed that we had just missed a rush of people. This worked out to our favor, because it felt like we had the whole place to ourselves. They were also very dog-friendly, and it was nice that my dog got plenty of space to roam while on leash. I did the chocolate and wine tasting, which I would HIGHLY recommend. It was such a sensory experience. I went home with a few wines because of their unique compositions. i.e. the reisling (sweet and citric), sauvignon blanc (crisp apple), veltliner (bitter tones), and zinfandel (spiciness?). I really understood the Vietnamese influences. The chocolates from Socola, a chocolatier by two Vietnamese sisters from SF, were amazing in their own right. The pho, durian, and guava chocolates were out of this world. The pho truffle was spot on with its brothy flavor. The durian white chocolate was fire, and I don't even like durian. The pâte de fruit of the guava truffle was juicy and flavorful. Lastly, the customer service and hospitality at RD Winery were exceptional. There were 4 employees during the time we were there, and they were all friendly and interactive. The staff member who walked us through our tasting was so professional and really flexed her knowledge about the wines and chocolates.

Absolutely amazing experience. Our tasting room associate Adriana was SO knowledgeable and just made the entire experience. We loved the pork buns and the duck flat bread, they're both definitely a must-try!

Came here with a group of 10 and it was nice how all of it was set up for us when we got there! Good: - Indoors, which is great for the rainy and cold days - Each drink is named and labeled so you don't forget what you have - We got a private room in the back which was super private and good - 5 wines for the tasting, which was a great amount to have Bad: - Was more of a "drink on your own" type experience - not too much personality here compared to the other places I've been to - Location wise is in a shopping plaza so there's less things to look at Overall this place was cool since it's Asian-inspired and probably the first I've heard of! Clean and upscale.

A hidden gem to say the least. Stopped by this winery on the way to an event..wanted something convenient and not overwhelming. This was the perfect spot...a little oasis. Didn't have time for a tasting so did a glass of their Riesling which many recommended. And tried the duck confit flatbread. The Riesling def didn't disappoint. It was sweet but not overly sweet. It was perfect for a hot day in Napa. I'm not typically a whites gal but ended with a bottle of this to go. The duck confit was like nothing I had before...it had a sweet chili sauce mixed in which brightened up a traditionally stuffy dish. It was delicious. They have a little zen garden as well. Overall, highly recommend this winery. It's perfection. Def will go back to try their other wines and tastings...but their Riesling is a def winner!!!

I randomly found RD last fall when my friend came to visit and wanted to see Napa. Lucky find! After a tasting and some food I signed up to be a member immediately. First, the service is outstanding. Every single person I meet/interact with is super nice and you can tell they like working at RD. It's now been a year of membership and I've visited at least 6 times. I appreciate how they remembered my name from the time I signed up and make sure to pronounce it accurately, that doesn't happen many places. Second, the wine is really really good. I'm more into red wine and usually hate Chardonnay but I love every wine I've tried here, including the Chardonnay. I love learning about the history of the winery and their unique wine making process, full details included with each tasting or visit. The wine is priced really fair for the good quality. Third, I have celiacs and they went out of the way to make sure they had gluten free crackers for the cheese board I ordered with my friend. I can't speak to how the rest of the food tastes, but it sure looks and smells good!

The first Vietnamese-owned winery in Napa! I discovered this place with my friends when I took them to a Yelp Elite Event in Redwood City, we tried out their wines and was enticed by their $55 wine tasting and food pairing. My friend booked a reservation for 6 for her early birthday celebration. Our server Vincent was so amazing and funny! He gave us the history of RD Winery, I was surprised this winery officially opened up in 2021 (2020, but COVID happened). We're locals from Suisun and Fairfield, and he pointed out where the ingredients from the wine and food were sourced from, from the Green Valley/Cordelia area to Lodi. The food pairing included Asian fusion small bites, from green curry powder popcorn, cocktail shrimp, spring toll, a soup shooter, and a pork bao. I really liked the popcorn but beware when you eat it because you can easily inhale the powder. I kept sneezing because of it. The bao went perfectly with the Zinfandel, it was one of my favorite pairings. Vincent said that we were free to try the bites with each of the wines as everyone's palates would be different. The winery is located next to the highway so the ambience can be pretty noisy especially with loud motorcycles. The garden however was very pretty and my friends and I took lots of pictures together. Would come back again! Since this place is newer, it's definitely underrated.

Asian inspired pairings! Absolutely loved since I feel that "mainstream" wines don't often fit Asian food well! Adorable spot with excellent service! Our server timed the wines to the different foods we ordered and was careful to explain different notes in the wines to us! The space was also adorable behind the tasting area! They were also very flexible when we ran late to our reservation
