Coconut shrimp
Shanel S.

This is the cutest BYOB with large portions. The food is delicious! I have been here twice in the last month. First was a brunch with family. They have a covered patio that makes it perfect for a little party. 16-18 people at most! I had the shrimp and grits. Great flavor. The grits could've been cooked a little longer but a lot of people enjoy the gritty grit of it best. The pancakes were divine! With just a drop of syrup you have perfection. When I came back for dinner, I got the coconut shrimp. Butterflied with an orange marmalade you can't get any better. Crispy, crunchy and light. I think it is the higher quality meat that made the cheesesteak egg rolls better than I've had in the past. A thicker roll dough with seasoned ketchup! Delectable and the provolone cheese hit the spot. The Milan salad was perfect. Initially I didn't think thousand island would be good on it so I asked for it on the side. It DOES work! I'm always too full to try dessert but it is a must next visit.

Loved this quaint and charming eatery for brunch! There's indoor and outdoor seating. It's a byob! Prices are surprisingly affordable for large quality portions! They were able to accommodate a reservation for our party of 10 with ease. Everyone enjoyed their meal. Service was fantastic. The owner stopped by for a visit and made us feel like regulars. Sunday is their only brunch day and I'd definitely return for dinner. Note about parking, it's a small neighborhood so leave yourself some time to find street parking.

What a lovely restaurant in this quaint town. The owner is magnificent and makes you feel at home. The service is superb and the food is just amazingly good. The prices are great and portions very generous. They have many options but not too many. I'd truly like to try them all. A great place to take a love one out for a celebration or just a quiet evening with friends or a date. It truly fits all occasions. The brunch was fabulous. I'll be back for sure, Lord willing

This restaurant was ranked as one of the top brunch spots in the suburbs by Philadelphia Magazine, and it did not disappoint! The Breakfast Sliders were phenomenal for a reasonable $11.99 in this crazy time of inflation. The Louisiana style maple syrup hot sauce was a delectable mixture of sweetness and spice that was perfect for dipping the biscuit sandwich and home fries. So excited to have this BYOB in the neighborhood. The staff were very friendly and right on time with service. There is street parking close by, so you can walk right up to the storefront. Kudos to this establishment for rebounding after a relatively recent fire. Looking forward to returning!

This American cuisine offers some great menu selections from a great price! I had there Chipotle Burger medium rare; perfection! Wonderful staff and owners! The out and indoor seating was very nice and not too loud.

Short Rib Hasher

This spot is my lowkey Brunch spot. It's a small and everyone in there is personable. It is in a close tight-knit neighborhood of Narbeth. Normally, I do not spill the beans on my secret spots, but this spot has a BOMB brunch for a BOMB VALUE. Every time I come here I give the chef my good graces because I am happy with the meal I get. I have been here for bunch on 4 different occasions and dinner on 1 occasion and never been disappointed. The short-rib hasher is a crowd favorite and now it is one of my favorite brunch items from here. The flavors blended nicely, the potatoes were crisp yet soft to the bite. The eggs had a little run to them, but not enough to be overwhelming. This location has a chokehold on my wallet and I wouldn't have It any other way lol. Did I mention is BYOB! Cheers and long live Ryan Christopher.

Snickers pie

A quaint family feeling restaurant tucked in a neighborhood. This restaurant popped up on my google search so we decided to try it on a Friday night. I was able to call that day and make a reservation at 5:30. When we got there it was pretty empty & we were seated right away. It got busier as time passed. You could tell that most of their customers were regulars! We ordered the cheesesteak egg rolls and chicken parm to share. Both had very generous portions & were perfect to share between the two of us. Both were AMAZING. The egg rolls were so crisp on the outside and the filling was delicious. The chicken parm was the best I've ever had. Every bite was filled with the crispy batter, a decent amount of sauce and gooey cheese. We ended with a slice of their snickers pie. Tasted exactly like a snickers!! Would definitely recommend this place!!

What a lovely surprise! We happened upon Ryan Christopher and so glad we did. We sat by a table close to the hostess stand. You know you're in for a great meal when the hostess greats guests by name. A culinary delight, great service, perfect ambiance! *chef kiss*

Great place for lunch or dinner. Byob. Food is American style - good, but nothing fancy. Desserts are hand-made and taste delicious.

Do they have brunch? I don't see anything breakfasty on the menu.

Go to their website https://ryanchristophersbyob.com/menu

Would it be a good idea to make reservations for a group of 4 on a Saturday evening?

Absolutely as seating is limited and it is popular.

I was able to go to Sabrina's Café during a trip to Pennsylvania recently. I was looking for a good…read morebrunch place around Villanova area and although this is outside the town, it was an easy commute. This was probably the best breakfast/brunch I've had in a very long time. The service was immaculate. They do not do reservations but if you go early enough, you can get a seat. My wife and I shared the full stack pancakes, and I had the breakfast burrito while she had the chicken waffles (plenty of leftovers). The star of the show were the pancakes. Now I've had a ton of pancakes in my day and make pancakes every single weekend but these were the best pancakes that I've ever had (on the record). I will be going back to this location every time I come back to Pennsylvania.

Sabrina's has been on my brunch places to try for a long time. I chose the Wynnwood location…read morebecause it was one with a shopping center and easier to find a parking place. We went on a Monday around 12pm. It was busy, but we were seated right away. Our waiter (Zacharius) was very nice. He helped my daughter decided between sweet and savory. She decided on Chicken and Biscuits (savory). Little did we know, it was a new item on their menu. It took a little longer to prepare. She didn't mind the wait if it was going to be good. Unfortunately it wasn't as good as anticipated. She said it tasted ok but the chicken was overcooked and the gravy was too thick. She let them know, and they seemed glad for the advice. The waiter said he would let the chef know so he could improve it. I decided on the Brioche French toast w/ strawberries. A side of scrapple and coffee. The French toast just tasted like toasted brioche bread (unfortunately). The syrup did the heavy lifting along with the strawberries to make it good. My advice would be to dip it in the batter (if there was any) longer to give it more flavor. I will not get that again! The coffee was pretty good. I also ordered a side of scrapple. Not telling my age......but I've been around for a while! Never in my life have I ever seen scrapple stand up (see photo). It was hard! Crispy like a potato chip! I was surprised that they had the nerve to serve it to me! I did break a piece off, because I couldn't believe what I was seeing. Then I sent it back! I rarely send food back, but this was unexceptable. I must say they soon came back with some properly cooked scrapple. It tasted fine! Lastly, they have metal chairs. The chairs are very uncomfortable. Not sure if this is so you don't stay too long or not, but if that's the strategy....it works! I really don't like to give bad reviews. I try my best to find the positive if I can. Unfortunately this wasn't a very good first vist to Sabrina's for me, but they're staff was very nice and pleasant. The atmosphere and decor (except the hard chairs) was nice as well! That's why they get 2 stars. I will try another location sometime in the future and definitely order something else.

I didn't even realize there was a PJ Whelihan's in Wynnewood until attending an 80th birthday party…read morehere today. The location is a bit awkward because there isn't convenient handicap parking directly in front of the entrance, which could make things a little challenging for some guests. I recommend dropping people off who have mobility issues first then park. Our party was held in the private area in the back, but it's not truly private since there isn't a door, it's more of an open corner section of the restaurant. Because of that, it was pretty loud with the jumbo TVs going and regular diners nearby. I've been to the PJ Whelihan's in Blue Bell, and their private room had doors and felt more separated from the rest of the restaurant, which helped with noise. That said, the Wynnewood location has a huge bar and tons of big-screen TVs, so it definitely has that fun sports bar vibe. The food for the party was good overall, although it wasn't served very hot. The buffet included Caesar salad, rolls, sweet potato fries, potatoes, broccoli, crab cakes, salmon, and chicken parmesan. The salmon was a bit overcooked and slightly dry, likely from sitting out for a while, but the rest of the items were ok. Soft drinks were included, while alcoholic beverages were purchased separately at the bar. I also want to give a shoutout to Lina Morgan and the manager Shannon, who were all very helpful and attentive to our group throughout the event. One thing to note if you're planning a party here: they don't allow take home containers for leftover buffet food due to food safety concerns since the food sits out and temperatures fluctuate. Overall, it's a lively spot and did I say with plenty of TVs lol and a good setup for group gatherings. If you're planning a party and don't mind some background noise, it's a solid option.

I didn't realize it was where Mad Mex used to be until we got there. It was definitely full in there, but luckily and surprisingly didn't seem overwhelming for our little one. The host was able to get us a booth on the other side of the restaurant that was in a good spot for us. The staff were all friendly and polite. Our waitress was really good - good banter, good recommendations and feedback on menu items we were deciding between and very attentive during our dining experience. Though it took us a while to decide what we wanted, we made sure to put in our little one's order since we knew she was pretty hungry - her standard and favorite (Chicken Tenders and fries). We ordered a couple of drinks: I got the Strawberry Mojito and he got an Old Fashioned. At first I thought my drink was completely off, but I just mixed it up and it wasn't too bad after that. My boyfriend said his was okay so ended up ordering a beer after finishing the drink and preferred the beer. For our meal, we were definitely eating with our eyes lol and had a good amount of leftovers to take with us. For apps, we went with the Loaded Nachos with the pulled chicken and Hot Honey wings. Both were actually pretty good. For our entrees he ordered a burger (cooked medium) with tots while I went with the chicken sandwich with sweet potato fries. My boyfriend said his burger was cooked more in the well side which he felt didn't make it as juicy as he was looking for, but he could deal with it; my food was fine with no issues. We definitely see ourselves coming back sometime (parent-free ) to try happy hour and other menu items.
