We went here for brunch on Valentine's Day. Very cool place. The food was amazing. And the beignets were phenomenal. The only reason I'm not giving a 5 star is because of service. One server would have been fine for how busy they weren't but we were not checked on after they brought out our food so we went a long time without drink refills. I don't think our server had been serving for long. Also there seems to be no back door as trash and supplies were carted through the dining room and out the front door.

Creole and Cajun are two of my favorite cuisines, so when I heard Ruth's Creole Kitchen had opened I had to give it a try. I enjoyed my first visit so much that I went back two days later. And I'm returning again soon because I've yet to try the gumbo or jambalaya. You see, the first thing I usually order when visiting a new Creole restaurant is the gumbo. If they make a good gumbo, everything else is probably going to be good as well. But the daily special was crawfish and shrimp étouffée. I love me some étouffée. If it were on the regular menu, I would have started with the gumbo. Since it wasn't, there was no way I could pass up the étouffée. That was a wise choice, as it's one of the best étouffées I've had. The reddish brown roux was great. Some might find it a bit salty, but it was perfect for my tastes. There was plenty of crawfish and shrimp; neither was the least bit rubbery. It wasn't a large portion, but I came away fully satiated. On my next visit, I found they were already out of their seafood gumbo so I ordered the muffuletta. Unlike the muffuletta from Central Grocery in New Orleans, this has an olive chutney rather than a tapenade so it's not quite as "olivey" but it has a pleasing touch of heat. It lacks the mortadella and Swiss cheese, but the ham, salami and provolone are top notch. I like that it's not as heavy. That said, the bun doesn't do the rest of the sandwich justice. If I order it again, I'll ask if they can use their ciabatta bread. The staff is absolutely wonderful. Considering the service and the food, I can see why they are already making plans to expand their seating area.

Exceptional Creole restaurant with delicious dishes like gumbo and stews and crabcakes - with fish on Fridays. Spacious interior atmosphere, forgot what used to be here, it could have been a breakfast place but space is utilized well here. Service also excellent and the food is brought out to you. Relatively new and check it out to support it! Highly recommended.

This food was fire.I ordered the Chicken and Shrimp Etouffee it was amazing. My daughter had the Seafood Pasta which was also amazing. They were playing music inside which I really like. Our waiter was really nice. Our food did not take long to come out. The owner of the restaurant came out and asked us how was our food? Which i really like. Over everything was amazing really good and I will definitely be back. They also will be serving brunch.

The food and service was amazing. The tables were spread out and it did not feel like we were on top of anyone else. Prices were very reasonable. Food was super flavorful with the right amount of Cajun spice. I will go back.

We landed in Ruth's after an evening bike ride and were not disappointed! The interior is nicely done and a wonderful tribute to the owners late mother, Ruth displayed. I ordered the Seafood gumbo and it was amazing! Perfect amount of Louisiana spice and flavor. My husband ordered the wings and he said he has to get them every time now. We went BACK the next week after our bike ride and I ordered the gumbo again without disappointment! We also tried the crab bisque which is the best I've ever had. We shared the seafood nachos for our table and hear me out... the chips were Doritos. BUT the flavor pairing was incredible lol perfect choice in my opinion!

DELICIOUS! I have been to NOLA and love the food and culture there, so I was so excited to come upon Ruth's! Right in the heart of OKC in Midtown. Chef Reuben came out to greet us and checked in on our table a few times, which was such a lovely gesture. He was excited to hear our thoughts and he chatted with us about his history. Staff was great, friendly and quick! Overall great ambiance and vibes The Jambalaya and Seafood Gumbo was outstanding! Will definitely come back.

The food was really good! The Chef/owner came to our table to talk to us. Incredibly friendly and nice man! Service was outstanding! The dining area was well kept and had great charm to it! This is a must try if you like Cajun/creole food!

There are days when I miss the Mother Swamp, and for those days now there is Ruth's. We gave it a shot because I miss being home in Belle Chasse (West Bank yall). My husband ordered their breakfast sampler and said "the potatoes melt like butter and the sausage was divine." I had a Nawlins staple - a muffleta and it was everything I needed today. The service was impeccable: knowledgeable, kind, and on point. You forget you're sitting on 23rd Street once you're inside: complete with the R&B of yesteryear that reminds me of humid nights on the bayou. 10/10 would recommend, and we will be back. Laissez les bontemps rouler! Here's hoping they have gator and king cake come February.

All secondary roads are still snow packed so at 11:30 there was only one other couple in the restrauant. The Press is in an old (1920's ?) repourposed building. The interior is comfortable, charming and a bit whimsical. We started with an order of cheese sticks. They were very good and large. I liked that the cheese sticks did not have Italian seasoning in the breading. Jan ordered the chicken fried ribeye with mashed potatoes, cream gravey and green beans. Jan loved it. I took a bite of the chicken fried steak and it was excellent. The green beans were very good. They were loaded with garlic, which I love, but if you're not a garlic fan, I would suggest another side. I ordered the grilled chicked sandwich with waffle fries. The sandwich was good and the waffle fries were excellent. The portions are large and the food quality excellent. The prices reasonable. The menu has variety. We grabbed 2 seats at the bar and were quickly greeted and given menus, place settings & ice water by one of the bartenders After about 5 minutes our order was taken - I didn't see the gluten free pancakes on the menu so I wasn't hopeful but when I asked the employee said that they do in fact have gluten free pancakes! I ordered pancakes 3 ways - creme brûlée, blueberry with lemon & a pig in a blanket along with 2 scrambled eggs & the candied bacon Hubs got the breakfast tacos, side of bacon and an Irish coffee Candied bacon came out with the Irish coffee quick - both were so good! I'm not a pepper fan so when I saw it on the candied bacon I was nervous, but it didn't overpower the flavor at all Next came the tacos & my smazing plate of gluten free PANCAKES!!!! The tacos looked good, but in all honesty I didn't ask if it was good because I was SO focused on my plate :) The pig in a blanket was my fave - the bourbon syrup was so good, there was a little spice to the sausage which was a nice balance The blueberry lemon was great - light, flavorful and just yummy The creme brulee which I was anticipating the most - was good, but wasn't my fave - maybe I was too full by the time I got to it but it wasn't as nummy as I'd hoped I'll be coming back next time I'm in town

That price isn't even including a tip. This place has always been pricier than the rest, but a couple years ago they used to give your to-go coffees in a mason jar so it was justified. Now the mason jars are gone, the cups are barely bigger than a claw clip, and somehow they're charging even more. This was my fourth time here and I wanted to give them another shot, but it'll have to be my last try. You can get much better coffee at a much more fair price at other places in the city. The only strength Elemental has is that it has a bit longer food menu than other cafes, but if you're paying more than $20 for a tiny coffee and a mediocre snack then you are wasting your time and money. Also, I don't expect you to yell a welcome or fall on your knees to greet me when I walk in, but the service here is miserable and always has been. The barista asked me how I was doing, to which I said good thank you, then just stared at me for a good few seconds. I guess that means go ahead and order here. A simple "what would you like today" would suffice. Most places you get used to waiting a second while the barista prepares the system, so if that's not the case, just say something. Then they hand you your to-go drink without a lid, because the $9.50 you spent doesn't cover that level of labor and you need to do it yourself. I love to support our local coffee shops here in OKC, but you'll never find me recommending Elemental. Which is a shame, because the mason jars in my cabinet at home are a good reminder of when they served unique and fairly priced coffee. I am so thoroughly disappointed that I made an account just to say this. At least the espresso is okay.
