Celebrated my daughter's birthday in July and had a great dining experience . So, with my birthday and anniversary I decided to head back to Ruth Chris for a repeat experience . It did not disappoint . The hostess Kiera was gracious enough to locate a booth for us . I asked for the server / waiter Kohl who had serviced us previously in July . He came with a big smile and welcomed us back again . This guy knows his stuff and knows how to take care of his patrons. You won't go wrong asking for him ! We chose from the menu the 3 for $60 prix fixe meal with salad , entree, and dessert . We upgraded to the rib eye medium rare for both of us , the Caesar salad ( which was humongous) and for dessert the cheesecake . The food was delish and the steak so juicy and cooked perfectly . Since it was our anniversary Kohl upgraded our dessert to the molten lava cake and a classic cheesecake with berries . Omg the lava cake was light and so good ! The classic cheesecake was not heavy but tasty and not overly sweet . Hey , this was a great dining experience to celebrate our special day . We came to Ruth's Chris to celebrate both my birthday and our 10th wedding anniversary, and it was such a wonderful evening! They made our celebration feel special from the moment we sat down. Our table was decorated with birthday and anniversary confetti, and our menus were even personalized with "Happy Birthday & Happy Anniversary!" I loved those thoughtful little touches. Everything we ordered was delicious. We started with the Goat Cheese & Artichoke Dip, followed by steak and lobster with mashed potatoes, and finished with cheesecake and fresh berries. Everything about my experience was top-shelf! Service: My wife and I were celebrating our anniversary and I placed our reservation online. I had to edit the reservation to add a couple of special requests that were all confirmed when I had to call the restaurant for additional information. I called to confirm if they had a corking policy and fee, they do ($25), because I intended to bring a (good) bottle of wine that was given to me and I figured this would be a good setting, and they obliged. We got to our table and were greeted by Alan who assisted our server. He was cool and made sure we were comfortable and settled. Our server Pinto was awesome before taking our order he did wish us a happy anniversary. We ordered our food, he made his recommendations and ensured he sequenced our courses accordingly. Food: My wife is a picky steak eater... to say the least. Getting a satisfying temperature on a steak has been (ahem) challenging at times. She and I both agreed that this was the best "medium well" (ribeye) steak ever cooked (I'm not exaggerating). There have been plenty of times, I'm sure steakhouses have been criticized for improperly cooking a customer's steak, they should be commended when it's done right. I order mine medium and had no complaints! My steak (cowboy ribeye) was also delicious. Sides were all great (Brussels sprouts, lobster mac and cheese, garlic potatoes, and 2x's sweet potato casserole). Dessert (chocolate lava cake and cheesecake) was also top-tier! All in all, this was a really great dining experience. We were never rushed and ended up spending roughly two hours conversing with the staff and enjoying each other's company. It was a Friday night and relatively slow, so we really appreciate their willingness to allow us to hang out and not feel rushed. We have been coming here for past 13 years on Valentines and does not disappoint. We have a simple meal as it is our favorite. We ordered the 11 oz. Filet and au gratin potatoes. To our surprise there was one in Palm Springs very close to the resort we were staying in. My husband made a reservation for Friday night- the day we arrived. Terrible Service. Inattentive, Slow, and Disorganized Our dinner for seven took nearly three hours. While we understand a larger party may take more time, three hours for drinks, a salad course, entrées, and dessert is excessive. Two servers were assigned to our table, which should have made service smoother, but unfortunately, that wasn't the case. It took about 30 minutes just to place our order, another 20 minutes for salads to arrive, and our dirty salad plates sat untouched until entrées came roughly 45 minutes later. After finishing dinner, we waited another 20 minutes before plates were cleared and we could even order dessert. Has a great experience at Ruth's Chris. I ordered from the $60 3 course meal deal. That was by far the best value on anything in the menu and I would really one come back for that deal. The deal includes a choice of 3 entrees, a choice of 3 sides, a choice of an appetizer, and a choice of 2 desserts. I chose the 6oz filet with house salad with blue cheese and mashed potatoes and cheesecake. I wish the sides offered more than 3 options because neither of the 3 I was a big fan of. Regardless, it's still a great deal. When the salad came out, it was very light on the blue cheese dressing. I had to ask 2 different servers for extra and it took about 20 minutes to come out. Other than the lack of choice in sides and the long wait for dressing with a lack of dressing already, those were really the only negatives. The wait did take a little long on the entirety of the meal but I heard that's part of the experience. The steak was probably the best I've had and so flavorful. My wife and I have never had a bad experience at Ruth's Chris in Palm Desert. To enjoy our experience even more, we pick up our favorite bottle of wine beforehand and just pay the corkage fee. The only semi-negative feedback I would give is that a dress code needs to be strictly enforced. People show up in jeans, t-shirts, hoodies, and hats (hats are removed at the request of staff). This is supposed to be fine dining. Not a regular sit-down restaurant. Please enforce this when people are making reservations or when they just "pop in". read more

We go there pretty often and order every year for thanksgiving a sweet potato casserole. Its absolutely delicious and recommended to all my friends . This year I was very disappointed because the container was the same size but the amount of potatoes was about half (about 1 cm high ) on the bottom of the container and of course the price higher!!
